This is my first submission and I value all feedback. Constructive criticism would be much appreciated! Some things:
1) This is a BW/WM story, so if that isn't your cup of tea, don't read.
2) I purposely left out physical descriptions until the next chapters. I did this so you, the reader, can get to know the some of the characters a little before you see them.
3) This work belongs to BeatFaceLove. Any reproduction without my consent is fucked up and I will find you.

"Did you ever stop and think, 'Hey, maybe I
won't
go to hell?'"
"No, it's pretty much set in stone that I am."
"Well you haven't killed anyone... yet."
She smirked. "Yeah, not yet." She looked down at the diamond encrusted Cartier watch her dad gave her. "I have to go. I'll call you later though."
"Yeah, no problem. Tell the old man to feel free to buy me an expensive watch too." Alexia smiled.
"Tell him yourself," she sighed, standing and gathering her bag. "He keeps asking where his other daughter is at."
"Ha! Yeah, I'll definitely drop by the house now," Alexia said rolling her eyes.
She scoffed at Alexia. "Bye Lex." Turning to leave, she halted when she heard Alexia speak.
"Oh by the way, have you spoken to Leo lately?" Alexia eyed her intently. After 23 years together, she knew her best friend like the back of her hand.
The breath she inhaled caught in her throat at the mention of him. Her heart went into overtime and she began to sweat. However, on the outside, her face remained passive.
After a second, she turned back to answer her friend.
"No."

As Charlie stepped outside of Renault's Ristorante Italiano, the valet pulled her Bentley GTC to a stop in front her and held her hand as she descended into her luxury sedan. Yet another gift from her father. As she drove off she thought back to her lunch with Alexia.
Born twelve minutes apart, their mothers had shared a room at the hospital where they were born and in the nursery they were placed side by side. Ever since, they'd been best friends. Their fathers, two big men with big dreams clicked instantly, as did their mothers while they chatted post labor.
But Alexia's last question struck a nerve.
"Have you spoken to Leo lately?"
Her drive downtown to her father's office was consumed with her replaying the question over in her head and wondering,
why
?
Charlie hadn't seen Leo in weeks. The tension between them was thick. Not since their last run in at a mutual "friends" gathering had she laid eyes on him. It hadn't ended too pretty. Charlie grimaced as she remembered the encounter.

"Well well well, what brings you out tonight Ms. Charlotte?" Charlie forced herself not to roll her eyes in front her peers. She hated when he called her by her real name and not the pet name everyone used.
"Leo, always a pleasure to see you." The serene and calm smile on her faced was convincing. But Leo wasn't fooled. After the last stunt he pulled he could hardly believe she truly meant what she said. He smirked. She was a good actress.
"Excuse us, but I need to speak with Charlotte. In private." His eyes brooked no argument and she knew better than to make a scene. Not now. Not in front of their colleagues.
