A spin-off of my story Her New Neighbor, centering around Allen and Sheri's side of things. You don't really need to have read Her New Neighbor to get into this one, but of course it's always nice to have some added context. Hope you guys enjoy it.

He was finally out.
After 3 years of incarceration, Andre Camby could finally step out back into the real world. Not the one he had put himself in when he stupidly decided to join his 'friends' for an armed robbery. Those assholes didn't spend the time behind bars that Andre did, benefitting from snitching on Andre and somehow getting him to take most of the blame. That was some vile shit from people he used to call boys, but that was his fault for going through with it in the first place.
He should've stayed around his brother Allen instead.
He held a bag over his shoulder that held a few things he had when he got locked up and watched as the chain link fence door closed shut behind him. He sighed and shook his head, glad that his life being cooped up in a small cell had finally come to an end. The sound of a car horn blared and he looked over to where the cars parked.
Andre could see a black arm waving out of a nice looking car and figured it had to be his brother. He moved his large 6'5 frame along. As he got closer to the car, his brother Allen stepped out.
"A nigga finally home." Allen smirked, dapping up his brother and pulling him in for a hug. "Welcome back, Dre." Allen said to his younger 28 year old brother.
After a few more seconds of a tight embrace, Andre pulled away with a light smile. "It's about time."
"You damn right it is bro." Allen nodded. "C'mon, we gotta bring your ass back around the block."
The duo took their respective spots in Allen's car and took off. "Where the fam at?"
"Mom had to go to work and Belinda is with Sheri at the crib." Allen explained, referring to his mother, sister and fiancΓ© respectively.
"Oh damn, so I'm gonna go meet wifey already?" Andre asked. He had never met his future sister-in-law, only what Allen had shown him when he visited him in prison. "Still crazy you're marrying a chick much older than you. I mean, she bad and all but still crazy as fuck. Mad shit goes down when you're locked away."
"Hell yeah, it still surprises me even." Allen slowly nodded, turning the wheel of his car while his mind drifted away to his future wife. Damn he loved that older white bitch. "But we ain't going there yet."
"Nah?" Andre looked over at him with a raised eyebrow. "The fuck are we going then?"
Allen gave him a quick glance before chuckling. "Nigga, look at yo ass in the mirror. Ain't no way I'm letting you walk into my crib looking like that."
Andre pulled down the overhead mirror of the car and rubbed his chin, which was mostly covered with a bushy, unkempt beard. His head was also out of control too. He needed a haircut, bad. "You right. I look like shit, damn."
"You need a shape up bad, bro." Allen agreed. "We're going back to the hood to get you a fresh line up, then we can chill at my spot."
Andre settled back into his seat and looked out the window, wondering how much the world had changed in three years. His brother was still planning his success when he got locked up, now he had a house, a successful business opening a gym and now working on another location and he was also getting married. He missed moments with his family as well. He couldn't find himself losing any more precious time again.
"I need to get my ass back in shape too." Andre commented, patting the gut that appeared on his body during his stint in prison.
"We're gonna get you straight. Don't worry about it." Andre nodded at his brother, knowing his fitness freak of a sibling would get him right. His arms were thick, muscular and bulging, as he did spend time pumping iron while locked up, but Andre did end up filling out a bit in the stomach area and could definitely use some time in the gym sweating it out.
"Cool..." Andre needed to get himself in better shape, especially if he's gonna be around his brother more. "So I guess I'm stayin' at mommy's house tonight. Ain't been there in a minute."
"Yeah, you can stay there for a little bit, but we gonna get you situated in a new spot real quick." Allen told him as he turned a corner.
"Oh yeah?" Andre wondered what he meant by that.
"Yup." Allen nodded. "You my little bro, and I'm gonna have you working under me, especially now that I have this second location for my next gym. That means I can't have you working out of momma's house. I still have that nice apartment I leased out before moving in with Sheri, I'll have it transferred to you."
"Oh word?" Andre was shocked by that. "It's like that? Damn, thanks big bro." He was truly grateful to have a brother like Allen.
"It's all good, kid." Allen shrugged, a smile on his face. "I don't want you near the hood and need to get you away from any temptation."
"Good looks, nigga." an appreciative Andre replied. "I don't think you have to worry about me though, but I'll take it."
"I'm sure you've cleaned up your act." the older brother said. "But a big bro gotta look out for little bro. Your ass is out of the hood in a couple days."
"Thanks, man." Andre couldn't wait to switch up locations. He didn't know what it was like living outside of shitty neighborhoods, but he couldn't wait to find out. "Gotta find a place to move mommy out to as well."
"Yeah, I'm gonna hook her up. Working on that next."
"That's what's up." Andre didn't want to be the only one out of the hood. He wanted his family out too.
It was good to be home.

"Well, I'll see you guys later. Take care Belinda." a very pregnant redhead said as she stepped out of the house.
"Bye girl." the tallest of the three women said. She was black, about 5'8 and held a glass of wine in her hand. She was also the youngest of the trio, being only 30. "Good to see you again."
"It was good to see you as well, hun." the forty year old, pregnant redhead named Shannon replied. "Sheri, I'll talk to you later."
"I'll talk to you too, sweetie." Sheri, also holding a glass of wine, stood beside the taller black woman. "Say hello to Lennox for me." she added, referring to Shannon's black boyfriend.
"I will, bye!" and with that, Shannon began her very short walk across the street to her home.
"Well..." Sheri sipped down some more red wine. "I do believe our men should be arriving soon at some point."
"I know, this nigga said he'd be coming to scoop me up around this time." Belinda, her dark hair in two thick boxer braids, followed the more petite Sheri back into the living room. She pulled out her phone from her tight fitting jeans which were struggling to keep in all of that black booty. "Aint hit me up once all day after leaving me here." she shook her head, referring to her boyfriend Darnell.
"I haven't heard from your dear brother either." Sheri sat on the couch, looking through her device as well. "But I know he'll be here at any moment."
"Niggas is always late. Can't trust a word they say." Belinda huffed, tossing her phone on the couch. "I wanted to see Andre before I got back home but your man is acting up, too, Sheri."
Sheri wondered about Allen. "I'm sure he'll be home soon, I sent him a text just now. I just hope he'll be back before we finish the rest of that bottle."
"Allen probably wanna have you drunk off yo' ass so he could lay that pipe on you." Belinda chuckled.
"Well it's getting there." Sheri drank some more and smiled at her much younger future sister-in-law. "But Allen doesn't need me drunk to have his way with me. Your brother... he's not someone I could ever turn down, Linda dear. Not with what he can do to me."
"Alright girl, you drinkin' too damn much. I ain't trying to hear how this nigga be dickin' you down. That's my brother."
The older white woman shrugged. "You brought it up."
"Yeah, my bad sis." she sighed, Belinda began walking to go find the bathroom. "I'll be back my ass gotta go bad now."
Sheri chuckled and watched her walk away. They had gotten to know each other much better throughout the months as Sheri met more of Allen's family. It shocked her how easy it was to get along with a black family. She was not raised to look at them as equals and even if some of that was still stuck in her head from growing up around extreme racism, she loved being a part of Allen's world.
She saw Belinda's phone light up and went over to go see, being a little nosy. Her boyfriend Darnell had texted, saying he's at the door. Placing her wine down, Sheri figured she might as well open it up for him since he'd arrived.
She was also prepared to deal with Belinda's very... touchy partner. Sheri knew he had a crush on her but didn't say anything, as she didn't want to upset the family and didn't want Darnell hurt, as Allen would have no problem taking care of him.
The small, short haired blonde opened the door to reveal a surprised looking Darnell.
"Yo, where my bitch at?" the six foot tall black man asked. Sheri sighed but smiled at the, admittedly, good looking black guy.
