Tony did not want to her what was going to come out of here mouth.
He just didn't want to hear it. He knew what was coming was going to be something that had changed her perception of life for ever. But he knew he had to listen because if she didn't get whatever was plaguing her off her chest, she might never be able to completely open up to him.
"I tried not to say anything to them. I really tried to ignore them but thy wouldn't let me. The girl caught me off guard when she asked me was I screwing her man. I didn't know how to answer so I didn't say anything."
Bianca said this in an eerie reminiscent whisper. She then took a deep breathe before she continued.
"I guess she took my silence as a yes. Because before I knew what hit me I was tackled to the ground, but not by her but by some guys that she obviously had wrapped around her little finger. As I struggled to get back up I got a hard kick to the ribs then another, and another."
"The girl and her friends and everyone who walked by watched as these men beat me. I thought that would be the worst part, I really did. It wasn't. But after about ten minutes they finally stopped at the girls' command because no one had dared to stop them before then, the girl leaned in and whispered, 'You should have just said no you stupid bitch'."
Tony didn't know what to say. He was stunned; he had thought it was going to an abusive ex or something. Tony knew it was going to be bad but he had no clue how bad. Tony just sat holding Bianca's hand as she finished telling him what had happened to her.
"I ended up with six broken ribs, a fractured wrist, and a bruised up face. I spent about a week in the hospital. You know I couldn't even press charges? You want to know why?"
"Why baby?" Anthony responded.
"Not a single person who had witnessed me getting beaten would come forward. And the sad thing is this girl did this just because I was an easy target. She knew I hadn't slept with her boyfriend."
Bianca had to stop because retelling this story was overwhelming. Sometime she didn't know why people treated her the way they did. The girl had her beaten just for the un of it and had gotten away with it. All Bianca could do was try and put the past behind her.
When Anthony leaned over to pull her into a hug Bianca turned away from, ashamed of what she had let happen to her. Bianca couldn't help but think that if she hadn't been so nice and took pity on the jock and tutored him that non e of her problems would have occurred.
She couldn't help but think that if she hadn't been so nice that she would be able to bare children. And that's a bombshell she would not be sharing with Tony anytime soon.
Anthony sat quietly beside Bianca has she silently collected her emotions. All he wanted to do was hurt the people who hurt Bianca. He felt that she had something more to say but she stopped talking and he didn't wan to push her. All he could do now was pull her to him and hold her tight.
Bianca's only reaction was to take the comfort his arms provided, and also the strength.
"Thank you or being the for me Tony." Bianca whispered shyly as she pulled back to look at him. Tony smiled a little then said,
"What have I told you about telling me thank you when is unnecessary?" Before she could reply Tony kissed her. The kiss was soft and sweet, his lips caressing hers.
Bianca didn't think she would ever get used what she felt when Tony touched her. It was something that she wanted to feel for a long time to come.
