"Beth. I'm really sorry. I can't leave the home right now. If you want, you can come here and we can give the tax papers a quick once over. I don't want to take you away from anything on a Friday evening."
Beth hesitated for a moment.
" Are you there?"
"Yes Alexander. I'm here. Sorry. Yes. I can actually bring it up to you. I'll just explain it very quickly and then I'll be on my way."
"Are you sure? It's Friday night. You probably want to spend it with your friends or family."
Beth sort of lied.
"No friends. I'll be there in a few minutes."
Beth was greeted at the front door. He concealed his lower half behind the door.
"Alexander, are you OK?
"Nothing. I'm doing laundry, and I'm only wearing these old shorts that I can't wear in public. TOLD you we can wait until Monday!"
Beth's mouth went dry. "Oh OK. No big deal. Can I just come in and explain this to you?"
