It felt odd, exhilarating really to be standing in the short line, summer sun beating down on her back in the middle of the week. Yesterday had been her last day of working for Elizabeth Dumont; Sarah Nice would be starting her new job as an administrative assistant O'Malley Accounting firm, located in 3 Alliance Square. She was scheduled to begin training on Tuesday, the day after Labor Day.
"Good luck finding anyone that will work with you," Sarah thought of her unhappy, quite rigid and highly opinionated boss.
The line shifted ahead and Sarah brushed her white blonde hair out of her eyes. She shifted her attention to the line on her left; perhaps that line might be moving quicker. There was a beautiful set of buns in a snug pair of swim trunks. The back was smooth, the thighs and calves were muscular, and the man's arms were also well-muscled. His sandy hair was pulled back into a ponytail and his skin was summer tan bronzed, shiny with sunning lotion.
"Mmm!" Sarah said at the exact moment someone behind her said, 'Mmm!'
Turning, Sarah saw a pale skinned strawberry blonde also staring at the swim trunks to their left. Sarah smiled widely and the strawberry blonde gave Sarah a sheepish grin at being caught ogling a stranger's backside.
"He is yummy, isn't he?" the girl whispered.
"Mm hmm!" Sarah agreed and the two girls giggled together.
"Uh, you two going run your mouths all day? Line's moving," an older man snapped, then winced as his wife dug her fingernails into his arm. "What?"
"Be nice," his wife hissed at him.
"What? Line was moving," the old man whined.
Sarah turned and stepped up the millimeter or two that the line had advanced. Then, giving the yummy backside another look, Sarah turned and stuck her hand out.
"Sarah Nice," she said.
"Huh? Oh! I'm Rain Larsen," the cute strawberry blonde smiled widely, shaking the offered hand.
Sarah pulled Rain to stand with her so that they did not miss the opportunity to step forward when the line moved. Even though she'd thought the old man was just a bit ridiculous, Sarah saw no advantage in irritating an obviously already quite irritated man.
"I would love to just bite those buns all over," Sarah murmured into Rain's ear, nodding toward the young man.
"Uh huh," Rain enthused.
The young man in front of the owner of the buns placed his order and shifted to the left of that line. The owner of the buns stepped up and waited for the harried young woman to fill the young man's order. Sarah made a bold decision and reached out to tap the blond man's shoulder.
"Well, this whole week has been a bunch of bold decisions," she smiled as Rain gasped out.
Beauregard 'Bo' Dunn felt a tap on his shoulder. The nineteen year old wide receiver for the Connelly Cougars football team turned and saw a beautiful blonde woman in very skimpy white bikini smiling up at him. Bo returned her smile.
"When you get your drink," Sarah ordered. "Go stand over by that table, hear?"
"Yes ma'am," Bo laughed.
"I can't believe..." Rain gasped urgently as Bo turned to place his order with the counterperson.
"Honestly? I can't either," Sarah giggled and ordered a large cinnamon Frappuccino.
With a smile, Bo grabbed his large iced coffee and sauntered to the table that Sarah had indicated. Taking a sip of his cold beverage, he admired the two cute women, admired their skimpy swimwear; the girl with the light blonde hair had a sweet looking bubble butt that threatened to burst out of her bikini bottom. The girl with the pink hair had a nice, compact looking backside in her turquoise blue bikini bottom.
"Strawberry blonde," BO reminded himself. "Not pink, strawberry blonde."
Sarah turned from the counterperson to face Rain but Rain was busy watching Bo stroll nonchalantly away from the wooden stand. Tearing her light green eyes from Bo's rear, Rain turned and looked at Sarah again.
"But you want to, don't you?" Sarah smiled.
"I uh, well... Yeah!" Rain admitted, giggling nervously.
When the two girls picked up their large Frappuccino drinks, Bo's eyes went to the strawberry blonde's 30C chest; the triangles of bright blue barely covered those impressive breasts. The blonde in the white bikini also had more than a handful cradled in her skimpy bikini top.
"I'm Sarah," the blonde said, approaching Bo. "And this is my BFF Rain."
"I am?" Rain whispered and Sarah shot her another wide smile.
"Bo. Beauregard Dunn," Bo said and waited for the squeals as they recognized him, recognized his prowess on the gridiron.
In his freshman year, Coach Anthony Carrecci put Bo in when the Cougars were down twenty nine points. It was the fourth quarter and Coach Carrecci decided to give some freshmen and some second string players and opportunity. To his shock, to the shock of nearly everyone in attendance and the television viewing audience, Connelly's offence scored two touchdowns and the Connelly defense scored two touchdowns. Down by only one point now, with thirty three seconds left in the game, the Connelly defense chased the Stevens' Scorpions quarterback into the end zone and sacked him for a safety.
'Done by Dunn' the On-Line Oakleaf Dispatch proclaimed; Bo had rushed for the two offensive touchdowns. And every expectation was that this, his sophomore season would be his breakout season.
"Let's walk," Sarah ordered, taking a sip of her Cinnamon Frappuccino.
She guided Rain and Bo toward one of the walking paths of Kennedy Park. The trail weaved a haphazard path of twists and turns around Oxbow Lake.
As they walked, Sarah and Rain linked arms. Bo followed behind them, admiring their bikini clad bottoms as their hips swiveled and swayed with each step. Bo smiled and flexed and made sure that Rain and Sarah heard about his exploits on the football field. To his chagrin, neither girl seemed overly impressed with his athleticism.
"Here," Sarah said, stepping off the path, between two tall pine trees.
"Oh, wow!" Rain said, stepping into a shaded grassy hollow.
