Introduction: Welcome to my Summer Lovin' 2024 contest entry. It's a slowly building tale of young adult friends becoming very friendly in the seducing atmosphere of sun, sand and sea. Great thanks to Small Island for last-minute editing help.
I am not a native English speaker, which accounts for some unusual ways of saying things. I hope you will enjoy the story. Your votes and comments will help me in any future works I may be considering, and of course, since it's a contest entry, please do take the time to add your vote to this or any other contest stories you read.
Impromptu Sex Beach Party
Things started innocently with the exceptionally good weather on this late July day.
The radical change from the continuous drizzle that had marred the few preceding days set the spirits of the boys in the group of university friends in a buoyant mood. It was readily apparent in the usual morning banter on their chat group.
The group had bonded during their first year at university and had all enrolled in an optional prep course ahead of their second year. This morning chat was their usual routine before each hit the road for school. That is, it was usual until an idea more appropriate to their high school days was launched.
Alain: "Hey guys, superb weather today! Don't know about you but here at my place, sun is out bright."
Thierry: "Same here, 'lain. It sucks to be wasting such a glorious day at school desks."
Jamal: "Hey guys, how about playing truant? We could head for the beach, have a dip, then sit in the shade and watch the tourists dry it off. Tourists' Cove's ideal place for that."
Sunil: "Sounds great. Think we can get the girls to come? It's always more fun to have some female company, especially at the beach."
Thierry: "I think with this weather, they would be all in. Except maybe Mamma Mélanie. Anyway, Caroline's sure to come once she knows I'll be there."
Alain: "Not sure they will want to come when they learn we'll be heading for Tourists' Cove."
"With the Victorian mindset they all still have, I don't think they'll enjoy watching the tourists dry it off like we will."
Sunil: "And they'll probably see it as competition and be peeved that our attention is focused elsewhere than them."
Jamal: "Who says we have to tell them?"
"We just pick them up and once we get there, they'll face a fait accompli."
"I doubt they'll want to sit in the cars and wait for us, especially with the waves beckoning."
Sunil: "All right, guys. Let's do this: we each call a girl or two and convince them to come. We meet usual place and set off from there. I'll call Julie and Mélanie."
Jamal: "I'll take Anita."
Thierry: "Caroline's for me, sure."
Alain: "Ok, that leaves me with Sophie. Think we should try Anzeera too?" he asked, referring to the newest member of their group -- another 19-year-old girl who was really still just on the edge.
Sunil: "Why not...the more the merrier. Let's get moving. Drinks are on me and Alain, and snacks on the rest of you. We can piece out together for some street food there."
Two hours later, the two cars were on the way to the north of the island, Sunil in his father's Renault and Jamal in his Nissan. Alain was in the passenger seat next to Sunil, with three of the girls seated behind. Thierry had preferred the back seat in the other car to be with his girlfriend Caroline and, with Anita next to Caroline, Anzeera had had to take the front seat next to Jamal. She played it down as being perforce obliged to accept it but was secretly overjoyed things had turned out that way. She was not a regular in the group but lately had started to hang around with them under cover of girlie friendship, hoping she would get Jamal's attention. She had a little crush on him and thought that getting into his inner circle might create something between them.
The girls had not taken long to agree to the beach trip. Four of them were still at home when they were contacted by the boys and they heartily joined in, donning their beachwear under their street clothes before setting out for the meeting spot. Even cool-headed, studious Mélanie, two years older than most of them at twenty-one, for once had succumbed to the call of sea and sun after the three days span of almost non-stop rain.
