## Chapter I : Julie Gets Taken While Two Get Punished
Jack stood on a small knoll and perused his surroundings using his brass spyglass. It had been a week since they'd left the Indian village and everyone was enjoying life on the trail. "We usually do. If we can manage to satisfy all four, I'd say it's a win," Jack replied.
Ty looked up at the sun. "If we get an early dinner in we should have the time before it gets dark," he contemplated. By then, Lauri had a few fish on her stringer and Julie had beans and rice on to boil.
