I'm not totally crazy; I'd met these people before I chose to drive forty-five minutes out of town into the sticks to meet them at their cottage. They're a cool, older couple and they have an awesome dog (sue me, I'm a dog fan).
The cottage is a cute little thing and they welcome me sweetly. The dog is haywire, as all pups of a certain size tend to be, but we settle into the warm sunshine with coffee and pleasant chatter. They taught me how to play a new card game I'd never heard of, and immediately loved. Good taste in games directly correlates to fun kinkiness levels, I've determined over the last few years. And I found out after the fact that Mary Ann plays Dungeons and Dragons, so extra double bonus kinky points.
We were having a perfectly lovely time shooting the breeze and getting to know each other, talking about whatever, when Troy announced he was feeling very anxious and awkward. We assured him it was only awkward if you thought about it too much, which we ladies were not doing. Which, truly, is a testament to how chill and cool they are because normally I'm a wreck of nerves.
That's when I was told (or perhaps I'd been told, but my brain is a sieve at the best of times) that this was Troy's first foray into any kind of group scene, something that had been on his bucket list for a long time.
