There was a knock on the door to Professor Sanders' apartment. His apartment was on the second floor of a elegant, stately building in a quieter part of the university campus.
"Coming," Professor Sanders called. He looked at the time on his uPad before standing up from his desk. Professor Sanders, was in his late fifties and still quite fit. People said he looked distinguished and had charisma, whatever that was. He was never sure about those things. "What should I do, do you think, Professor?"
"Well, Emily, I'd suggest you first develop a glossary and include it in the next draft. And use the terms you define in the glossary consistently throughout your paper. It's a good practice; it will help your own thinking a great deal."
"Yes, OK, Professor, that is a good suggestion. Can you give me an example, though, of an area that needs tightening up?"
"Well, one example that comes to mind straight away is your use of the term 'cunt'. It's used quite colloquially, that is to say ambiguously, I think. Sometimes it appears to mean 'vulva' and at other times 'vagina', for example."
