This is my first submission. I've been a Literotica reader for a couple decades now, but I have never written my own story. Until now. Please note, there isn't actually any sex in this story, just a long build up. I'm not sure if I will continue this story, so feedback is valued.
"Thanks for inviting me to come over today. It's nice to catch up."
Jayne accepted a seat in an Adirondack chair. "Your backyard is really pretty." Jayne admired the way the afternoon sun filtered through the trees on the warm summer day. It was nice to catch up. Callie and Jayne had worked together for four years in their 20's before Callie had moved on to work in real estate. Jayne had stayed with the same accounting firm, completing her Master's and receiving a few promotions over the years. The women, now in their late 30's, had bumped into each other at a local grocery store earlier in the day. Callie, always ready for a social gathering, had invited Jayne to her home for a barbeque. Jayne found herself caught up in Callie's plans just as she had been years ago when they worked together. Callie had been a party girl back then, and Jayne had often been happy to go along with Callie's plans. Callie was married now, Jayne had just met her husband, Kevin. Kevin was an attractive man, Jayne had to admit. Well dressed in a casual sort of way, chino shorts and a polo, even standing over the grill in the fenced backyard on a Saturday afternoon. Callie must have texted him from the grocery store he did not seem at all surprised when Jayne parked in the driveway beside Callie. A commercial real estate agent, he had introduced himself with the confidence of a sales professional. He helped the women bring the groceries into the house, then went to warm up the grill as the ladies settled in to chat and catch up.
"I was happy to see you at the store! It's been so long!" Callie bubbled over at the friend she hadn't seen in at least 8 years. "So, what are you up to these days? Married, kids?"
Jayne glanced down at her bare fingers on her lap. "No kids." Jayne said. "I was married, but well..." Jayne reached up and tucked a strand of hair that had escaped her braid behind an ear. Her straight, dark hair was always escaping. She looked up at Callie and felt a bit underdressed. Her Saturday grocery store vibe of jeans, T-shirt, and a clean, makeup-free face was no match for Callie's beach waves and highlights, her sporty tank top over her small, high breasts, and the perfectly fitted denim shorts over her tight ass.
Callie smiled warmly at her friend. "Drinks." She said. "Then we'll talk."

The sun dropped under the trees and the empty beer bottles stacked up on the table between the women as Jayne told her friend about her divorce. It felt good to talk about it, Jayne had to admit. The divorce had been finalized a little over a year ago, and Jayne thought she had moved past it, but there were some lingering hurts.
"How's dating going?" Callie asked with a playful, hungry smile.
"Umm... I'm not. I haven't..." Jayne admitted.
"You've been free over a year and you haven't?" Callie said, with an expression that left no ambiguity to her words. "I'm sure there is a story or two. I'll grab us more drinks, and you can tell this old married woman a story or two about being single."
Callie was back quickly, with a bottle of cabernet and three glasses. She stopped on the patio and gave a glass to her husband at the grill, along with a few words and a bit of a long kiss. She received a smack on the ass in return. Jayne watched the interaction on the porch from the safety of the backyard. A few minutes later, Callie bounded down the steps into the backyard and sat down beside her friend. "I hope wine is ok this time" she said as she nearly filled her friend's glass. "So, when you said you haven't..."
"I haven't." Jayne said, factually and bit more forcefully than intended. "The divorce, the marriage actually, it was... he was... He wanted it all the time."
Her friend lifted an eyebrow and looked her friend over, her eyes lingering on Jayne's large chest "Of course he did."
"Not like that. He didn't want... well, he did but... He cheated." Jayne said quietly. "A lot. I didn't know. Maybe I... I couldn't keep him happy. I guess he just needed a lot of sex." Jayne looked down and laughed awkwardly. "Men need a lot of sex, I guess. I couldn't keep him satisfied."
"Did he keep you satisfied?"
Jayne looked up with surprise to meet Callie's eyes, then realized that her friend was absolutely serious.
