After bailing out of school my parents told me I had to get a job as soon as possible and contribute to the house hold, "like a real adult".
I had been applying for endless jobs online, my resume was in every store and office in a 5 mile radius of my home and I was having no luck!
After scrolling the online job ads for 3 hours one night I noticed a notification in my inbox, an invite to an interview.
"FINALLY!" I thought to myself.
I read through the invite and realised it was at the same place my dad worked, turns out he must have said to his boss I was looking, and he needed a Personal Assistant which is convenient for me.
A few days later was interview day, I woke up early, showered my slim, toned body and got dressed in a tight, grey suit with a teal blue tie to add a bit of colour. I made my way to the office for 10am, an hour after my dad started his shift in the warehouse.
He was a forklift driver, so he was on the warehouse floor most of his shifts, moving and reorganising crated when and where necessary.
I walked through the warehouses main entrance and followed the sign for the main office, climbing the open plan stairs which overlooked the warehouse and passed the large window from the bosses office which overlooked also.
After knocking and making myself known, I walked in to the bosses office and took a seat in front of his massive desk.
"Dean, I'm Barret" he introduced himself politley before we both sat.
"Relax, this is just a formality for us to meet and we can see if you would be a good fit here and vise versa, lets just have a chat about what you think you'll be able to bring to the position as my PA", he calmed my nerves instantly with his tone.
We chatted for what felt like hours, but on the clock on his wall was only 20 minutes. As we talked, I couldn't help but get lost in his pearl blue eyes, they were incredibly striking against his dark, Latino skin. A slight moustache decorated his upper lip and aside from the light stubble around his chin, was the only hair above the neck. His smooth bald head looked perfectly moisturised as the unflattering lights in the office bounced off it.
