"Ross, Kyle here!" Some guy in a three-piece suit shouted from one table.
This was a mistake. I kept saying that since this morning when Ross and Kyle invited me... I would just ditch them, but they came at me as I left work, so I just gave up and went with them.
"Come on, Zack. It will be fun!"
"Sure, it will."
"Hi, guys!" Ross shook hands with the man who waved at us. "This here is Zack. Freshly single straight dude."
"Thanks for the wholesome introduction, Ross," I smirked.
"Let me introduce you, Matt, Brandon, Nate, Dan, and this is John," Ross pointed to the guys behind the table. They nodded.
"Where is Rick?" Kyle asked.
"Home," the "Nate" guy replied with a smirk.
"Damn... I was looking forward to seeing him."
"You can just come over sometimes, but Luke will be on you the whole time. He even managed to learn your name to torture us with it." Nate grinned at Kyle.
"Really? Cute! Sure, we can come by sometime!"
Ross grinned. "Sure, but if I am there, he will cry again."
"He won't. I think he just wants Kyle all for himself."
"I do too."
They all just chuckled. I looked at Ross, "Who is Luke?"
Ross put his giant hand on my shoulder and smirked. "Their son, it's a fascinating story. But we could sit first."
.
We sat down, and soon the waiter came over.
"Hi, guys. What can I get you?"
"Hi, Jordan. Zack is freshly single, new here, and brooding. What would you suggest?" Matt asked. Great... It looks like this night will have a theme.
"Kinky brooding man or woman depends on what is his thing." Jordan smiled, showing his perfect set of teeth.
"Women, thanks for the advice. I will have just whiskey, no ice."
"Who is that blond behind the bar, Jordan?"
"No." Brandon looked at Kyle.
"What?" Kyle smiled innocently, and Ross smirked and looked behind the bar checking out the bartender.
"He is cute, but I think we would break him, baby."
"He seems like he can take a lot."
Jordan smirked and looked at Matt, "These must definitely be your friends... Just don't let Sam catch you speaking like that. That's Liam, our new bartender."
"Why not? Is Sam his boyfriend?"
"No, Sam is the owner, and he is very protective about his staff."
Kyle looked at Ross smugly. I rolled my eyes and saw I wasn't the only one. Those two were really wild since they got together.
"And he just happens to be my little bro," Brandon spoke calmly.
"Well, I have always liked you, Brandon," Kyle smirked at Brandon, who grinned.
"You wouldn't know what to do with him, dude. He is way above your level."
"How do you know?" Ross's brow twitched, and he smirked like someone was just challenging him.
"I heard stories one shouldn't hear about their brother, but I am cool enough to take it," Brandon smirked and took a sip.
But this just ignited a bigger flame in Kyles and Ross's eyes as they looked at each other.
"Is he single?" Kyle asked.
"Does it matter?" Ross snickered, looking over to the bar.
"Shut up, Ross, it does. Brandon?"
"He is out of your league."
"Brandon, we will show him a whole new league."
"Guys, not cool, really," Matt spoke calmly, but this strange, chilling vibe went through the whole table. Ross and Kyle both looked at each other.
"Fine. Bro code activated." Kyle grinned and raised his hands.
I saw Jordan smirking. He obviously knows these guys.
"So, whiskey and for you?"
"Gin and tonic, and just water for me. Someone must drive."
"Yeah, and one brooding kinky woman for Zack here, please."
Jordan laughed wholeheartedly. "I will send Gina."
"You are a doll!" Brandon grinned.
"You still have no chance, Brandon, but we all find it entertaining." Jordan winked at Brandon.
The guys kept making fun, and we just chatted. I was slowly getting used to this strange crowd when a petite redhead came around. She could be about 35, oozed confidence, and somehow her eyes radiated with a fascinating glow. She scanned me with a soft smile and laid my drink before me.
"Thank you."
"Hi, guys, your drinks, and obviously me." She smirked. "I must have forgotten to take myself off the menu, apparently."
"Hi Gina, this is Ross, Kyle, and Zack."
"Hi, guys. What have you done to be stuck with this bunch?"
"We find them amusing."
"How sad."
Guys talked with her, and it was apparent they were now more than customers. She treated them like friends. She kept looking at me, and I had to admit I liked her. Still, she had something untouchable to her, and I couldn't really point my finger at it.
We told her about my breakup and how guys dragged me here. Kyle mentioned Jordan's idea of what I may need. She smirked and checked me out.
"Well, I think for once Jordan was right."
I looked at her. She was scanning me with an arousing smile.
"And where do you think I could find one like that?"
"Well, she finishes after two a.m. You can stick with these guys and see if she'd take you home."
"Damn... Gina! Why didn't I have that chance after asking you out for years?"
John, Daniel, Matt, and Nate banged their glasses twice. "Gina doesn't date Gammas." They said nearly in unison before laughing. I looked dumbfounded at how easily they made it look.
Mine, Ross's, and Kyle's brows shot up.
"Gammas?"
"Yeah, Gina has this stupid system of judging people," Brandon moped.
"It's a self-preserving mechanism, darling." She smiled at Brandon.
"What is a Gamma?" I asked.
"It's just general personality type."
