***Ben's Point of View***
"Baby come back to bed!" I called out for Alex.
"I just got out!" He responded. "I need to shower now if I'm gonna leave on time."
I reluctantly crawled out of bed. "I'd beg you to stay here if I didn't have to work today." I kissed his shoulder as I wrapped my hands around his stomach.
"I'll bring leftovers." He promised.
"Thanksgiving leftovers aren't the same..." I rested my head on his shoulder and looked at him through the mirror.
"I know. But we both have Christmas off this year." He held my hands resting against his stomach.
"I know." I kissed his face. "You can shower now." I teased, letting him go.
"Why thank you, my kind overlord." He kissed me, then stripped out of his clothes and stepped into the shower. I admired his naked backside through the mirror, damn he's got the best ass.
I wish I could follow him in, but he has to get going to be at his parents on time. Besides, I should make my morning coffee before showering and heading to the hospital.
I didn't get home until the next morning, and Alex has to work the busy Black Friday so he decided to sleep at his own place. Sleeping without him isn't fun anymore. Having someone to cuddle (and sleep kick) is something I've gotten very used to when home. (Sleeping in the on-call room doesn't count).
The rest of the weekend was ours, so we got to spend the entire time together. I decided I want Alex to move in for real, we basically spend every night together anyways. His lease isn't up until May but I can't wait any longer, and we've discussed it before.
He already has a key, so I decided to use mine as a symbolic thing and put it in a box to give him.
"Hey, Ben." He smiled at me as he came in.
"Hey, Alex." I have something for you.
"You do?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "What is it?" He hung his coat in the closet by the door.
"Come here and find out!" I smiled.
"Alright." He walked over to me and sat down next to me. "I'm ready."
I pulled the box out from behind my pillow. "Here." I handed it to him.
He popped the top of the box open and saw the key. "A key?...isn't this a key to this place?"
"Yeah... I know your lease isn't up until May, but we basically already live together. What do you think about moving in?"
"I'd love to. I mean, we said May, but I think it's fair to say we're ready." He kissed me on the cheek.
"How's this weekend? Bring over everything, there's plenty of room."
"Tomorrow morning then, but after that, you and I, just us two in this place the rest of the weekend." He pulled me in and kissed me.
"Perfect, now, give me that key back, it's mine. You already have your own." I laughed.
"Cheap-ass." He smirked.
The next morning we moved the rest of his things out, and left everything he no longer needs or wants to be taken.
The rest of the weekend we decided to spend in bed.
Saturday night, we decided to build a fort in the living room. We made a wickedly awesome blanket fort, covering the majority of the room. We made sure the there was an entrance/exit and that the television on the wall was included in the fort. We put sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets all over the floor, making sure very inch was covered.
"Let's sleep here tonight." He suggested.
"Our first night officially living together and we're gonna sleep on the floor? That's perfect."
"We just need really cool pajamas for the occasion. Let's change."
Having two closets in the bedroom, one for each of us, was already extra useful. It let us surprise each other with our pajamas. I'm wearing an elf onesie, fitting for the season
"Ready?" I asked.
"On the count of 3. Three, two, one." We both opened the doors to dramatically reveal our outfits.
I couldn't help but laugh at his outfit, a t-shirt with overalls made of green material with gingerbread all over them. "Too much? Should I lose the t-shirt?" He teased, pulling on the white tee. "Oh, is it the overalls? I mean, I could lose them, but I'm not sure you'll like the Santa boxers I'm wearing..."
"You've got to be joking." I stared at him trying to not laugh again.
"You may never know." He said mysteriously.
"Let's go watch a Christmas movie."
We snuggled up and watched the movie, falling asleep in the cozy atmosphere.
The next morning I woke up to an empty fort. I crawled out to find Alex cooking breakfast in the kitchen. "Come back and cuddle!" I begged him.
"We have to eat sometime, baby." He smiled.
"Alright." I sat at the counter. "I guess we have to eat."
