(Jack)
Adjusting to Aaron and Rick being gone was weird, I'd gotten used to spending every moment with at least one of them. I already missed the conversations. To distract myself, I focused on tending to our vegetable patch, watering and weeding. Sulu joined me, crouching down to help remove the unwanted plants. "Thank you," I said with a smile, which he returned warmly.
Sulu then spoke in his native tongue, mimicking the act of eating while pointing through the trees and cupping his hand around his ear. I imitated his actions and managed to catch the faint clucking of chickens. "Okay!" I exclaimed, bubbling with instant excitement. He grabbed a knife and with moments had disappeared into the trees.
I returned to the campfire and Kovu some fruit, but he declined, awkwardly rising to his feet.
I wrapped Kovu's other arm over my shoulder, taking some of his weight. Kovu was almost a whole head taller than me, so I wasn't quite sure how helpful I was actually being. After a few tentative steps, it was clear that Kovu could bear his own weight, showing only slight signs of discomfort.
We walked towards the ocean, Kovu leaning slightly on me. We walked straight into the surf, wading in up to our knees. We stood watching the birds on the horizon for a few minutes. Kovu took a step deeper into the water, but I stopped him so I could strip out of my own shorts.
Throwing them onto the beach, I stooped to pick at the knot on Kovu's bandage, explaining, "Let me take this off, the salt will help." -as is he understood.
It was fiddly work, and I was overly aware I was only an inch or so away away from the ebony dick hidden beneath the thin piece of fabric. And as I worked the get the knot loose, the cloth began to tent out; making me flustered and the job harder then it needed to be.
In the end I pulled the knot as far away from Kovu's dick as i could and used my teeth to free the knot. By the time I had succeeded the cloth that once covered Kovu's dick was to one side and his dick stood right out from his body. I considered my dick averagely sized, but this one was a good 2 inches longer and a fair bit thicker.
Ignoring my lustful thoughts I pushed back through the water throwing the bandage onto the sand, before re-joining Kovu, replacing an arm around his waist and walked deeper so that the water licked at Kovu's wound. He winced in pain but took another step before turning and smiling at me.
Somehow I managed to get Kovu sat back in camp and apply a clean dressing without fondling him.
We sat several metres apart as I initiated a game of catch with the old tennis ball, Kovu rolled it between his hands obviously fascinated with the material. Just at that moment Sulu arrived carrying a dead chicken by its feet and other food he'd clearly foraged. He then pointed toward the pot next to the fire, then the chicken and then himself, and I answered his unasked question "yes, you can cook."
I was actually rather relieved as I was used to Rick and Aaron doing most of the cooking and thought of cooking for two guests was terrifying. Kovu and I continued our game of catch while Sulu made quick work of his feathery find. As they talked and laughed with each other, I wished I could join in. That's when I began pointing to different objects so Kovu could tell me the word in their language.
Despite my terrible pronunciation, I kept at it, pointing to the sky, the sand, and even trying to mime more complex concepts. With each attempt, their smiles grew wider, there was something oddly enjoyable about our struggle to communicate, and I found myself enjoying their company.
A while later I sat next to Sulu, the smell of the cooking making my stomach rumble. Sulu laughed and shook his head. "I like your bracelets," I said, looking at the beaded jewellery adorning his bicep and chest. Sulu looked at me with a raised eyebrow in confusion. I slid closer and touched the bracelets, saying "beautiful."
Sulu fiddled with the knot, removed it, and then tied it around my bicep. He cupped my face and repeated "beautiful," causing me to blush and avoid meeting his dark eyes. I subconsciously leaned into the touch, seeking out physical contact. Sulu was clearly comfortable with this and moved his hand so that he could pull me into his chest.
Despite the language barrier, I felt extremely comfortable around them and strangely safe. My eyes were beginning to close when the tennis ball hit me in the chest- making me jump. I looked up to see Kovu laughing holding out his hands waiting for the ball to be returned.
...
The chicken stew was delicious. We ate in comfortable silence, the sounds of the jungle providing a soothing backdrop. As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across our camp, I found myself wondering about Rick and Aaron.
"I should check on them," I said aloud, even though i knew they couldn't understand me. I walked over to where we kept the radio and picked it up, adjusting the frequency.
"Aaron? Rick? Can you hear me? Over."
After a moment of static, Aaron's voice crackled through. "Jack! Hey, we're okay. Nothing major yet."
"Any sign of a boat or communications equipment? Over" I asked.
"Not yet," Rick's deeper voice came through. "We've found a clear trail. How are the natives?"
I glanced at Sulu and Kovu, who were watching me curiously. "They're good. Kovu's been up and about. Sulu made us an amazing dinner."
"That's good to hear," Rick said. "We'll camp here for the night and continue our search in the morning. Should be back by tomorrow evening if all goes well."
"Stay safe. Over." I replied, feeling a wave of relief at hearing their voices.
"You too, Jackie," Aaron chimed in. "Don't have too much fun without us."
I could practically hear his wink through the radio. "Very funny. Over and out."
As I set the radio down, I noticed both Sulu and Kovu watching me intently. The evening had grown darker, the fire casting dancing shadows across their muscular bodies. I gestured toward the radio and then pointed into the jungle, trying to convey that Aaron and Rick had made contact.
Sulu nodded, then pointed to the sky where stars were beginning to emerge. He made a sleeping gesture, resting his head on his hands. I nodded, suddenly aware of how tired I was.
"Time for bed, I guess," I said, pointing toward our sleeping hut.
Sulu and Kovu exchanged glances, their expressions unreadable in the firelight. I walked toward the hut, gesturing for them to follow. They hesitated at first, then rose to their feet and trailed behind me.
Inside, I patted the large bed we'd created from mattresses salvaged from the boat. It was more than big enough for all three of us, though sleeping arrangements hadn't crossed my mind until this moment. Kovu lowered himself cautiously onto one side, mindful of his wound, while Sulu settled close to him.
Feeling suddenly self-conscious, I grabbed my blanket and laid at very edge of the mattress, leaving as much space as possible between us.
Sulu made a disapproving clicking sound with his tongue and quickly his strong arms reached out, and grabbed me by the waist to lift me over his body. To place me between himself and Kovu.
