The following is fact:

Anne of Austria, The Infanta -- was a Spanish Princess who was married to King Louis of France in the 17C following a magnificent wedding ceremony. It was an arranged marriage and for reasons of State, most important that the marriage was consummated. If the marriage was not consummated, it could be annulled.
