This story is fiction. This is not intended for guys. This is the story of a young woman's awakening into a new life with a new love.

Karen was a typical student. Passing grades in high school. Pimples. Pony tails. Braces the works. Boys ignored her most of the time except when someone got it into their head to tease her. Her high school prom was a night mare as the only guy willing to take her was a bigger geek than she was.
The one thing that got her through was the thought of moving away to college. Following the last summer at home she packed her bags, said tearful good-byes to family, and drove off in the old VW dad bought her. It was not a pretty car but it ran well.
Several hours later, she arrived at the campus gates. She found a parking lot and registered. Accommodation had been arranged for her, a shared unit. Soon she was unpacking in the bedroom she had been assigned. That's when she met Jill.
Jill was a year older, a second year at the college. Jill was also everything Karen thought she was not. Friendly, very out there. Pretty. Of course. She also set out straight away to make Karen her best friend.
They quickly became inseparable going out to parties together. Jill was popular on campus and was invited to all the best parties. Guys often asked her out and the two even double dated at parties only to spend more time dancing with each other than their actual dates much to the annoyance of the guys concerned.
It was following one such party that things changed. One of the seniors through a big birthday bash. Music could be heard a block away. Alcohol was served freely and consumed in large quantities. A guy hit on Karen. He was drunk and trapped her as she was coming out of the toilet upstairs. Nothing happened but Karen was shaken so Jill took her home, walking the three blocks holding Karen tight.
Finally home, Karen started to cry. She kept saying it was silly, she was being dumb. Jill should go back to the party.
"No hun." Jill reassured. "Shhhhh. Come on. It's ok." Jill wrapped her arms about the upset girl. Gentle rocking like you would a child Jill comforted and reassured the confused, scared and tearful girl.
