Sorry this took a few weeks to get to. This crazy thing called life got in the way. This chapter wraps up one phase of James and Kellie's story and begins setting the groundwork for the next part. I've got some fun ideas.
Everyone in the story is 18 years old or older.
As always, feedback is always welcome (and desired!), and thank you for reading.

When I started thinking about the next part of this story, it kept coming to me in Kellie's voice, so here it is.
March 20, 1990

I'd watched until James' train pulled out of the station and then headed back towards the hotel. The chill in the air was good for my head. I was overwhelmed with the emotions of the last couple of days and I needed to be able to adjust enough to focus on the college visit I had the next morning, at least for a few hours. Admittedly, it was difficult to clear my mind completely when every step I took made the dull ache between my legs more apparent. And somehow made me want more, as if a bunch of orgasms and having sex for the first two times of my life wasn't enough.
Somehow I managed to get ready for bed and get myself to sleep. I heard Aunt Jenny come into the room, although she kept quiet enough that I didn't really wake up.
Aunt Jenny clearly didn't get enough sleep, and she stumbled over to the coffee maker to get it going. I ached in unfamiliar places, but at least those were associated with happy memories. I stumbled toward the shower and got myself cleaned up, Aunt Jenny followed, and we headed out for my second visit.
The school was great, gothic and old and filled with amazing researchers, but in the end, it didn't feel like home in the same way the first school had. We had a perfectly nice visit and then said our goodbyes.
Aunt Jenny had been quiet on our trip to the school, but she clearly had something on her mind on the way back, and it wasn't choosing a college.
She had a strange look on her face, then started to speak. "Look, I'm not very experienced at this mom-type stuff. And I'm not your mom, of course, and you're an adult, but I figure there's still some things I'm supposed to talk to you about for now."
I got nervous. She knew. She had to!
"I know what you and James were doing last night." Aunt Jenny blushed. "I mean, not the details, but the general theme."
"H-how? We cleaned up, I swear."
"That you did, young lady, but...how do I put this ... the room reeked of sex. It's the kind of thing you miss sometimes when you're part of the creation of it, but it was most definitely there."
"I-I-I, I mean, we..."
Aunt Jenny laughed. "I'm not mad at you. You don't think I gave you all those hours alone in a hotel room and expected you to play tiddlywinks, did you?"
"I guess..."
"You're both adults. A nice hotel room is better than the back seat of a car, that's for sure. As long as you were careful..."
"We were. James' dad actually gave him some condoms."
"Smart man. Anyway, then. I - and your dad, if he was still here, let me tell you - would be hypocrites if we tried to pull some lame 'wait until you're married' line."
I giggled.
"So as long as he treats you well, and I can see from the way you two act around each other, and you use protection, then you won't hear me tell you not to or anything. Just, umm, be discreet as you can. Understand?"
I nodded. "Umm, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure - and I'll be as honest as I can."
"Have you ever used the pill?"
Aunt Jenny threw her head back and laughed. "Not since this morning!"
"Ooookay." I smiled at her. "When I go on it, what should I expect?"
We had a remarkably calm conversation about the ins and outs (sorry) of birth control, and after some admonitions about remembering that the pill wouldn't protect me against things like AIDS, she offered to help me get an appointment with her doctor.

I wasn't sure if things would be different when James showed up at the hotel that afternoon. They were, but only in good ways. He still had a big smile on his face when he saw me that matched the one on mine, and he was still *James*. But instead of a tingling in my belly, I had this ache a little lower, like my body had a hole in it and it knew that James could fill it in.
He gave me a big hug, and then the tingles started. Sheesh. I was going to get wet standing here in the hotel lobby. I gave him a quick kiss and then pulled back.
"So," he said, "tell me about today!"
"I will. Let's go eat first, though. I'm starving!"
We found a nearby hot dog place and had a simple lunch. I knew I'd be eating a lot of lunches like this living here. I told James about my morning, and my decision of where I wanted to go. He was excited for me - their football team might suck, but it was a great school. We talked about what we might want to do that day, and I asked Aunt Jenny what she thought we should do.
She winked at me, and I blushed. "Well, when we got back to the hotel, I'd gotten a message from another friend who lives in town. It turns out he has a spare ticket to the Chicago Bulls game tonight, so I'm going to spend my evening having dinner and watching Michael Jordan."
Both James and I were staring open-mouthed at her. "Wow."
