I was invited over a friends house. She explained that she was bored and wanted some company and some one to talk to. Being the good friend i am i head to her house and knock on the door. After a few moments the door opens and she gives me a hug and kiss on the cheek.
"Hey you!! How you been holding up? It's been a while since we've been able to spend some time together. I was beginning to think you abandoning me."
"Hey ma. No you know i would never do such a thing. It's just work and thing's at home are keeping me busy that's all. Look at you though all cute. What we going on a date or something or you going to let me in?"
"haha No silly we not going any where. I'm just getting home and wasn't able to put something on relaxing before you arrived. Come on in and get comfortable."
As i step into the house the the smell of oils burning warms my nose. It's like a vanilla smell mixed with something i couldn't place.
"Umm it smells good in here. What's that you have smelling like that?"
"Oh it's a candle i brought from bath and body works. It's ocean breeze and a vanilla. You like it?"
"I love it!! Never thought to try to burn 2 different candles at once. It's a great mix. I'm stealing this. haha"
I walk over to the couch and sit down.
"Man it feels good to be able to sit down and just relax with out having to worry about fussing or being asked to do something every 5 minutes."
"Is it really that bad? She asks.
"It is. Like it's always can you do this, or why don't you do this. It's never how was your day? Or baby let's go do this. None of the thing's we use to do. Why does all relationships have to take that turn?"
"Not all relationships take that turn Tae, some people remember to do all those things, some don't. You have to talk to her about it."
"I have, it's like nothing is right any more. No sex, no going out and having fun together, nothing. It's always life time or food net work or something. The convo's aren't even the same. I'm lost."
"Well free your mind of all of that for alil while if you need to you can feel free to come over any time you like. Your own lil get away."
"Thank you ma. It's crazy we been friends so long. I used to think you wanted me."
"hahaha Boy aint nobody want you. If anything you wanted me."
"Maybe a little back in the day. But you had to many dudes chasing you back then. So i kept it on a friend level."
"Boy boo. Help me fold these clothes. Would you like some wine or something?"
"I guess I'll take a glass or two. It won't hurt anything. It mite just be what i need."
She walks to the kitchen and i could've sworn that her walk put a little more sass to it. Then she looked back and smiled.
"How did i know you was watching?" Then laughs
"Maybe because you put that little stink walk on just to get my attention."
"Maybe" She says looking over her shoulder as she poured our drinks.
She walks back to the couch with both drinks in hand and sits beside me.
"You need to stop stressing tae. You too good of a man and work to hard to be going through everything you are."
"Yea i know. I'm just trying to make it right you know."
"Listen if your not happy and she not trying with you, you need to leave that alone. But listen we not going to sit here all night talking about her. Help me fold these damn clothes before i get mad. Hahaha"
"Is that a promise?"
