There were nights that were lively, and those that were quiet. But on Fridays, Dale had an opportunity to spend time with his friends. Knowing that tonight would be boring if he spent it at home, he went out- this time alone- and went to a nightclub where he could sit and have a few drinks with friends. What he didn't expect was to be picked up by a woman on the hunt for a guy, and she would be the biggest break of his life.
Driving over to the Club Chameleon at about 11:30p.m. that evening, he didn't know that his friends over there had set arrangements to make his night worthwhile. He was going to remember this night as one to end them all. And his friends outside the Club were going to make it better. They arranged to have a limo pick him up after 3:00a.m., and take them home to spend the night together. But the next day would be even better, as a surprise was coming in the mail- and it would make them happy.
Getting over there, he was greeted by his friends. Most of his friends had some tables set aside for them, and they were going to make Dale lose it. Ever since he graduated from high school, he was a virgin- one who never had sex at all- and had no girlfriend. So they were going to get him hitched. In fact, one of his friends, Christina, had a crush on him, and he didn't even know it. Tonight was going to be the night that she breaks the word of the secret bond she had with him- and he was going to be happy for it. Getting there at Midnight, they opened the night with some drinks- he had a glass of wine- and sat in conversation. They knew that he liked to dance, so the crush asked him to do the slow dance that was coming up. Greg knew that he enjoyed slow dancing, and surprised him with his favorite- Sailing by Christopher Cross- while he did the vocals. That put Dale in the mood for the night ahead.
With the night ahead, Dale was getting the feeling that his friends cared about him, and that lessened his inhibitions. It would be later that night that Chris was going to make his night even better. His family was there, and they had arranged to take his car home, that way he could spend the night with his friends. Chris was getting his attention, and he was excited about it. They didn't see it, but looking at the one woman had given him a boner that wanted to get inside her. As the one hour closed in, she was going to take him to Chris' home in that limo- and a night of ecstasy would ensue. Getting there, they had sat around the fireplace and talked over wine. Chris had sat near Dale, and was getting his attention. Stroking his hair with her hand, she wore a fragrance that he liked. They recalled nights before when they got together, and made this night memorable. But this was Dale's first time, so he didn't have that many memories. So he got to listen in on the conversation. But his friends knew that he was getting ready, all they needed was the right signal. Recalling that he liked dancing to slow music, they put a love song from the 80's on the CD player. That was the break Chris needed to pull off the seduction. As they danced, she gazed into his eyes.
"Dale, did anyone tell you that you have lovely eyes?" she asked. "No, no one has," he responded, "in fact, no one has ever liked to be around me." "Well, I do," she replied, "I like being around you. You're warm, you like being around people. My friends agreed, if you had not gone out, you would have been lonely this night." "Thank you, Chris," he replied, "I never thought anyone cared about me."
"Dale, can I tell you something?" she asked. "Yes, I'm open," he responded. "When I looked at you the first time," she stated, "I would not have believed that I would have so much as a crush on you. Now, I know why I fell for you in the first place. I was in love with you from that one time, but I was too shy to tell you. But now was the right time. Dale, would you come up to my bedroom with me?"
