Jan wore a nice pin-striped navy suit to her training appointment with SFC Linda at the re-education center. She was looking forward to the senior-level training for "responsible women" in the Women's Republic. Each family or household now had a "responsible woman" who was in charge of the family or household. Jan held that title but had been bringing Kate along as her deputy.

Kate had sensed that Jan herself liked to be taken in hand at times, so she had responded to Jan's signals and disciplined Jan, gone with her to the center to obtain a punishment uniform with Jan, and had Jan try it on and wear it, including the locked panties.

But this time it was Jan who would be undergoing the training by SFC Linda, who was the top noncom at the center. Linda had learned her own advanced skills at the special unit at Correctional Services headquarters where misbehaving correctional officers were sent to be retrained. The unit employed severe measures but those who managed to complete the re-training often went on to good careers in the service.

When Jan arrived at the center, CPL Georgia greeted her and escorted her to a training room, which Jan noted was outfitted with many implements on the walls. There was a horse that obviously was used for punishment, too, and leather cuffs at various places on furniture and the walls.

After a few minutes during which Jan wondered about whether she would be receiving many of the implements on her bottom, SFC Linda, a tall brunette with a lovely figure, appeared in her full Correctional Service uniform.

"Jan," SFC Linda began, "I hope it's ok my calling you that."

Jan quickly nodded her assent.

"Please say 'Yes, Sergeant," Linda informed her, and Jan responded as directed.

"This training is designed to equip 'responsible women' in the most advanced kinds of discipline appropriate in family and household settings," Linda began.

"You need to assess the needs of all of the members in your household insofar as their discipline is concerned," she went on.

"I'm sure you love your husband, and your stepson as well," she said, "but in the Republic, men must be trained to understand that they must treat all women with respect. This is why we have the re-education centers and camps, primarily to deal with recalcitrant men. Many need this badly. You must not hesitate to send men in your family or household to be re-trained if they exhibit tendencies toward challenging female authority or denigrating your leadership."

"How would you characterize their behavior?" Linda asked.

"My husband is quite loving," Jan said, "but he does retain some orientation toward command as he owns and manages a large firm. In fact, I met him there when I was an entry-level employee, so I know he still finds it difficult to recognize my authority, especially at home. He has generally been good about it."

Jan went on to describe her stepson as a normal 23-year-old college kid, but one who seemed to be quite respectful of his sisters as well as his stepmother.

"I think that submitting to his younger sister, which I have enabled," Jan stated, "has been useful in orienting him." She did not mention her own role in enabling Kate to fuck Steve, and then her own role in cleaning Kate orally, which some might regard as ignominious.

"You will have to face up to the likelihood that you will need to send your husband for re-training," Linda informed her. "He is in his 50's?"

"Yes, he is," Jan said, "and I do love him, and I believe he loves me. I married him after his very dominant first wife, whom I never knew, died in a plane crash. I will admit to you that while sex has been satisfactory, he is beginning to lose his youthful ardor, his hardness, to be blunt. I have been enjoying spending time in bed with my stepdaughters and yes, with my stepson as well. I learned upon my arrival and marriage that this had been going on in the family during my predecessor's reign."

"Wow," Linda exclaimed. "You came into quite a scene! How did you respond to Kate's disciplining you if I may ask? I felt she absorbed my training quite well."

"Kate is a natural dominant," Jan declared. "She may be far more dominant than I am and has very little of any submissiveness in her nature. I found myself wanting to serve her and please her."

"Jan," Linda said in a commanding voice, "stand in front of me and lift your skirt above your waist!"

Jan quickly complied with Linda's military-style command.

Linda now stood in front of Jan and bent down to pull Jan's pretty pale blue hicut panties down to her ankles. Linda stared at Jan's luxuriant reddish-gold bush.

"How would you feel if I told you that your bush would be shaved off now?" Linda asked her.

"I would say, 'go ahead,'" Jan answered, "but I really would like to be allowed to keep it."

"Whether you keep it," Linda replied, "will depend on how well you perform in this training."

"Now hold your cheeks apart," she ordered.

Jan assumed the truly shameful position of squatting and then trying to defecate in front of this commanding woman.

She felt her bowel movement start to move down and soon it slid out of her and landed on the floor below her. She could smell the odor of the newly emerged shit and assumed Linda could, too.

Linda handed her some soft toilet tissue and told her to gather up her shit and deposit it in a container nearby. Then she gave Jan some more tissue to wipe herself. Jan wiped thoroughly and deposited the tissue in the same container.

"Did that bother you?" Linda asked.

"I did feel embarrassed, Sergeant," Jan answered. "But I surprised myself by my ability to suppress that feeling and to go ahead and do what I was told to do."

"This bodes well for your ability to order those in your family to do things they may find embarrassing," Linda said. "I'm pleased with this demonstrated ability."

"One other point for you to remember," SFC Linda went on. "You see that I had you stand and then squat over here where there is a small circle marked on the floor. This is the naughty spot. It is useful to order someone who is going to be disciplined to stand on the naughty spot. It sets them up to submit since they have accepted that they have been naughty by standing on that spot."

"You must carry yourself in a way that never compromises your authority as the responsible woman in the family unit," Linda declared. "What is important is your ability to respond with firmness to any challenge. If it comes from one of the men in your family, you should give him only one warning. Most men in this Republic will back off when they realize that any further resistance will lead to their spending a week or two at a re-education camp."

She looked into Jan's eyes. "Have you ever sent anyone to a camp?" she asked.

Jan felt unhappy that she had to answer no. Until now, she was actually proud that she had managed to control the family here and any previous groups in which she was in charge without having to resort to sending someone to a re-education camp.

"No man who is sent to one will ever want to return," Linda said. "I've been a member of cadre there. There is every intention to humiliate men there. They are made to wear only tee shirts and panties. They are observed on the toilet. In every situation, their sergeant controls them. They often fantasize about having sex with the sergeant. It never happens. And if they stare or, worse yet, if they try to look down a blouse or up a skirt, they are caned."

"I hope you will consider sending someone who deserves to go there," she went on. "However, you also must be the responsible woman, namely, responsible. No one should be sentenced to a camp on a whim or lightly. But anyone who shows that they need retraining should be ordered to go."

"It is your responsibility to train the women in your family or household to exercise the authority that this Republic gives all women," Linda stated. "I see that you have acted well in that direction with Kate. But your older stepdaughter is submissive, I gather?"

"Yes," Jan answered, "Deirdre is definitely submissive. She is engaged and likely to be married this year and will likely leave the household."

"Before she departs," Linda advised, "you might consider sending her here. Even submissive women must learn to exercise female authority. She should not submit in any way to her husband-to-be."

"I intend to discuss this with her," Jan responded.

"Good," Linda declared.

"I understand you have been submissive to Kate since her training and even before," Linda continued.

"Yes," Jan said, "I have liked her assertiveness and wanted to encourage it. Also, there's a part of me that enjoys submitting to her. It is embarrassing as I am a middle-aged woman and the responsible woman, yet I find I want to be taken in hand by her. And she had performed very well in that capacity."

"This is a decision you of course may make," Linda answered. "But you need to be sure that it does not undermine your authority as the family's responsible woman. It is better if she does not discipline you in front of any of the others. They preferably should not get to see you disciplined or even wearing the punishment uniform."

"The men in your family as well as the women will need to get you to sign off on many forms connected with their life and work which require the consent of the responsible woman in their family or household," Linda informed her. "You should never regard these occasions as predetermined. They need to know that they must demonstrate proper respect for you at all times or you will withhold signing. You also may disapprove any such form and they will have to take that back and suffer the consequences.

"Sometimes, for their advancement at work or in various organizations, they will bring you a form that requires you to grade their behavior," Linda went on. "The passing grade is as it generally has been in school: 65. You may enter any grade you feel they have earned. If you believe that their behavior has not been acceptable, you may inform them that you will have to enter a failing grade if you complete the form at that time. You may give them the opportunity to show you by their behavior over, say, the next week, that they deserve to receive a passing grade."

"Do they always get to see the grade I enter?" Linda asked.

"You always have the option to take the form and tell them that you will send it on to the destination marked on the form," Linda responded. "You could thus fail them and send the form in without their knowing that. I tend to regard that as counterproductive. It is important that they know when their behavior is found to be deficient."

Linda then explained to me how some women who held the responsible woman position in their households had developed the practice of having each family member keep a small notebook with them. Whenever the responsible woman decided that the member had misbehaved, she might make an appropriate entry in the notebook and then at the end of the week, the book's contents would be reviewed and appropriate discipline awarded.

"Does the individual family member ever write in the book?" Jan asked.

"Yes, sometimes they are directed to make an entry, often a humiliating one," Linda replied. "They might be told to write out what they had done to deserve discipline," she added. "One example: 'I failed to wipe the toilet seat when I was finished going to the bathroom."

"One woman I know well will enter one or more 'naughty marks' in the offender's notebook." Linda explained. "Then at the end of the week, she merely needs to total the marks or have the member do it. One nice little feminine touch is to design a special symbol for a naughty mark entry. She might draw a little symbol, even a face or caricature, each time she enters a naughty mark."

"There are different views on public versus private punishment," the sergeant explained. "Public punishment—in front of family members—sets an example and also provides a good deal of embarrassment to the one being punished. Private punishment can be more intimate. I do not mean that there should be any sexual contact. But in private, you may comment if the offending man has an erection. You may spank him and also finger him in sensitive places or conduct an embarrassing rectal inspection. One woman with whom I worked required the women in her household to submit to unannounced panty inspections," Linda added.

"Do you recommend weekly family sessions to go over behavior?" Jan asked.

"Many responsible women do that," Linda answered. "I recommend that you use whatever schedule with which you are comfortable. You may find the notebook idea too intensive. Many women prefer what they regard as a lighter touch. And although I personally prefer intimacy with other women, the Republic takes no position for or against heterosexuality. There is no reason for any household to resemble a prison."

Jan soon realized that SFC Linda's training session had gone on for quite some time.

"It sounds like what this training is emphasizing is the importance of the responsible woman in a household having confidence in her discretion and her decision-making," she said.

"That is absolutely correct," Linda answered. "We can urge you to follow certain patterns. But the most critical factor is for you to think about what is appropriate and what is needed under the particular circumstances."

She paused. "I'll ask you a more specific question," she began. "Do you feel confident in your use of the correctional implements, such as the cane and hairbrush? You were given a marital cane when you married your husband. Have you ever used it?"

"Yes, I have," Jan replied, "but not on him. I've had occasion to use my cane on others in the family."

"I showed Kate how to use the cane," Linda said. "Do you feel you need any refresher?"

Jan smiled. "Kate told me that you let her practice on your bottom," she went on. "I feel you went above—or perhaps below—and beyond by allowing her that liberty, Sergeant."

Linda grinned, mainly so she would not show any other emotion. "I felt she was mature for her age," she said, "so I decided to see if she would accept my offer to try out her skill. She passed with flying colors."

"I'm proud of her, too," Jan responded. "If I weren't, I wouldn't have let her cane me."

"I'm surprised you allowed that," Linda replied. "Not many responsible women would do that. You do have a lot of confidence."

"I guess I recognize that I'm not perfect," Jan observed. "So, I am willing to allow her to punish me. I wouldn't have allowed any of the others. They wouldn't have the sense Kate has, given that she has a strong dominant strain."

"I think you have all you need to do well," Linda concluded. "You'll receive a certificate but you really don't need that. You have your confidence in good shape already."

She went to a case at the side of the training room and took out a slim cane that was longer than Jan's standard marital one.

"I'm going to give you one of these as your graduation token from completing this training," Linda went on. "You will find that this is highly effective. Would you like to try it on me, or should I use it on you?"

Jan reflected for a moment. "I'd like you to give me a stroke," she said deliberately. "I don't like to use anything like this unless I've experienced it."

Linda told her that Jan had won her great respect. Then she issued her direction: "Please stand and lift your skirt."

Jan complied with the order and then Linda stood behind her and pulled down Jan's panties to her knees.

"Bend over the chair and grasp the seat," Linda continued, and Jan obeyed what she was told to do.

Linda then laid the cane on Jan's bare bottom, drew it back expertly, and then fired a medium-strength stroke at the exact middle of Jan's bottom cheeks. Jan screamed because the stroke felt like a hot iron on her bared bottom. Then Linda watched as the bright red tramlines appeared.

"I suspect you know have a total awareness of the severity of this implement," Linda said. "You will know that deciding to use it should be limited to situations where a family member has misbehaved very very seriously. And it should always be used on the bared bottom so that you can gauge the impact and landing place."

"May I ask if you've used it outside of the Correctional Service, Sergeant?" Jan asked.
