Kate's weekend home came to an end as she got ready to board her return flight to the capital and her work at the Correction Service's Disciplinary & Retraining Unit, which she commanded. She reviewed her weekend and counted as the best outcomes the two new friends she made.
First, there was Harry, a promising male companion whom she intended to invite to visit her. Second was Glenda, her brother's boss, the office chief, who turned out to be submissive to Kate after coming down hard on Kate's brother Steve, who worked in Glenda's office.

She put in a call to CPT Susan, the center commander. The captain's aide, MSG Frances, recognized her and soon she was talking to the commander.
"Your brother has been cooperating and behaving himself," CPT Susan reported. "He should be ready to be discharged later tomorrow."
"Have the cadre had anything to pass on to you?" Kate inquired.
"They did realize he was your brother but figured since you brought him in, you wanted him to get regular treatment," CPT Susan said.
"Yes, that's absolutely correct, I did," Kate replied.
"They seemed to like him," Susan went on. "They have suggested to him that if he behaves in his office the way he has behaved here, he should do well. Do you want the standard message sent to his office chief?'
"Yes, I've spoken with her, and I think she will be positively focused after our conversation and seeing that I sent him to your center and how he has done there," Kate responded.
"How much disciplining did he require?" Kate then asked Susan.
"Not much out of the usual routine," Susan answered. "SSG Brenda did the initial orientation which included castigation with a small rod and a butt plug. He was also given an enema in response to his complaints of stomach distress and constipation. I'll quite sure it resolved the latter problem."
Kate could tell that Susan enjoyed telling her that last detail. She also knew that he would be caned before they discharged him. She thanked CPT Susan and urged her to stop in if she came up to headquarters. Susan said she appreciated her interest in her brother's behavior in re-education and would copy her on the final report.
The re-education did make Steve more cognizant of the need to treat all women in the Republic with more consideration. The rest of his commitment went exactly as Susan had predicted. When he returned to work, Glenda, his office chief, called him into her office. Steve responded that he had learned from his stay at the center and was grateful for what she had done with the points. He promised to concentrate on his work and to behave well with colleagues. Glenda responded that she was optimistic that things would improve from here on out.
A few days later, Glenda received an invitation from Kate to spend time with her in the capital. Kate's note emphasized that this was not an official visit because it was personal in nature. Glenda realized that that meant Kate didn't want it recorded on Glenda's office record, but that Glenda could put in to be reimbursed by her office for the trip if Kate signed off and said she had asked her to come to headquarters to be interviewed. She accepted the invitation online and thanked Kate for bothering to invite her.
Glenda liked Kate even more after she had learned about Kate's putting Steve in re-education. She looked forward to the visit she would make the following week.
Kate also sent Harry a note asking him if he wanted to visit her for the next weekend. She promised to show him nice spots in the capital. Harry responded that he would be glad to come to see her but would prefer to stay at a well-known hotel in the capital. Kate realized that Harry didn't want to be seen at the Bachelor Officers Quarters where Kate resided. She figured they could spend time there anyway without the issue of his staying over or she could visit him at the hotel after they dined out.
He also said he would take an afternoon train that Friday. Kate was accustomed to make the trip on Corrections Services regular flight but realized that many preferred to travel by the high-speed and high-quality train service. She left the office a little early to meet him at the central station.
When she spotted him stepping off the train, she began to get aroused. Harry came up to her in her uniform and hugged her and gave her a nice deep kiss. No one took notice because that often happened at train arrivals.

After they sat down, ordered drinks, and began to feel comfortable, they began discussing how they liked to spend their time. Kate said she liked shows and spending time reading. Harry worked out and played golf and tennis. Both admitted that they didn't have all that much free time.
They weren't ready for dinner, so Harry suggested they stop back at his hotel room. Kate did know the hotel, which had a good reputation in the capital. He had reserved a nice large room with two double beds. He had ice brought up and used the minibar to prepare g&t's for them.
