CHAPTER 31
Cinthia and ten other girls walked through the forest. Some of them were scared of bandits and wild beasts, but their having Cinthia with them made them feel safer.
Alice spoke, "Look. Cinthia. There's our old friend. The Samurai. He's chained to a tree." Toshiro was happy to see two beautiful girls in front of him. But now his arm was missing.
Cinthia broke the chain with a giant sword. Toshiro said, "The Black skulls cut off my arm after they caught me. They left me here to be eaten by giant bears. They still worship them."
Alice spoke as they walked, "We will find a new robotic arm for you. I promise we will do our best to do it. But first, we must take our land back from the invader."
Suddenly a Black skull guard appeared in front of them with a machine gun. As he was about to open fire, he was shot in the head by Cole. He appeared from the mist suddenly. Cole Thornton hugged Alice and Cinthia when he saw them. βI thought I might never see you again. But I see Cinthia found a way to escape."
Cinthia replied, "And I found a way to kill their leader. Once the word spreads there is going to be a war between the Black skull tribes for sure. Zorog spent years uniting them against the great cities."
Now a bizarre group entered the city: a one-armed samurai, a gunman, a model in a red dress, and a female taekwondo champion. Somehow, they found their way to the screen room that played footage on all the big screens in town. The room was at the very top of the tallest tower in the city. The city was full of guerrilla fighting. This helped them achieve their goal. Cole killed the guards with his gun when they could afford to make noise. Cinthia choked the guards with her feet when necessary. She broke their throats and spines with the beautiful weapons she possessed.
When the sun lit up the whole city all the screens were activated. Residents of the city saw their goddess standing on the top of their tallest tower. She impaled the head of Zorog on a spike in front of the camera.
Then she spoke, "I am Zola. Your goddess. And I killed the King of the Wasteland. I made him worship my feet and beg for mercy before I ended his life. I broke him completely with my legs. Before I cut his head off.
Rise against your oppressors. You did not earn your freedom just to be conquered by a foreign enemy. Kill until your entire city is free from every single one of them. Make the streets run red with their blood. The sky is on the side of Angkor. And you have your goddess fighting beside you."
After her simple but powerful speech, the city rose up. For a moment the monotheists and the polytheists forgot about their differences. They were united against the common enemy. They fought for their city. For their homeland. For the simple right of their small state to exist and not get conquered by the savages. After a bloody battle, the enemy was driven out of the land of Angkor.
CHAPTER 32
The western part of the city was free. The pro-slavery parts of the city in the east were still under the occupation of the Black skulls. Some new Black skull leaders emerged and united them in the east. But in the west, they were disunited and weak. Because of it they were slaughtered and driven out by the rebels.
