Five years have passed altogether since Christie and Cindy initially met Brian. The relationship that has formed between them is something that they couldn't imagine having any other way as it was built upon shared unique interests with genuine love and respect. When they each take time to reflect on their first three years, there is hardly a moment that doesn't bring a smile to their hearts.
Every anniversary of the day they met, they reminisce about hosting movie nights along with their cherished love, Kacie, and friends Amber, Ariel and Elizabeth. It stirs a special kind of feeling to spend a good portion of the afternoon trampling Brian, and eventually pile onto the couch for the movies they'd watch while adoring him as their footrest.
Another favorite pastime was visiting Brian at his shoe store. It was more a favorite for the girls as they would usually show up at, or close to closing time, where sassy hijinks would often ensue, resulting in free or discounted shoes that they would happily use on him at a later date. Brian's perspective was a little different at first in that they loved using high heels on him that he wasn't fond of, however, over time the amazing views, the barefoot aftermaths, and Christie's special reassurance helped him grow into and appreciate them, thus making their use enjoyable for everyone.
Some of the most magical moments were the times spent in their Jacuzzi. Adding the ability to float while receiving love from head to toe made for many of the most passionate nights they ever had, and could neutralize any worries that arose.
This was certainly put to the test when a life-changing job opportunity came up for the girls. It involved making a decision to move and leave Brian behind. The Jacuzzi helped everyone accept that a long-distance relationship could work because of the fact that it wasn't a permanent move, and it would give them something to look forward to upon returning home, but it couldn't help with their final hours together at the airport.
Despite their best effort to make a few trampling's enjoyable in different spots in the terminals, the overall vibe was still bittersweet. As they went over their plans for the job sites they'd be a part of over lunch, it sank in how different this was compared to the vacations they had taken before, and it was then that they knew they had underestimated how much they would miss each other. This realization made boarding the plane harder to bear.
Knowing there would be constant contact between them regardless, a good-bye was never mentioned.

That was two years ago, and it has become a distant memory for Brian as his focus in life has changed. Financial problems now plague him and have caused one thing after another to be taken away, in turn making him unable to keep in contact.
Since the girls aren't in town, they are not an option for him to receive help - then again, it's not an option he would quickly consider as he has always been proud of being self-sufficient, but he knows when he's beat, and he knows he lost the towel to throw in long ago.
Christie's gift is usually quick to pick up on his needs; however, an unknown cause has resulted in clouded and limited visions. At first, she shared everything that came to mind with Cindy, but that only seemed to distract her from their work, so she opted to limit the updates with the hope that they could complete their tasks without further incident.
For a while it worked, but in the end, Cindy could tell something was wrong because she would often be jostled awake by Christie in the middle of the night, see her head off to the bathroom to towel off from a cold sweat, and the topic would always get side-tracked the next morning, which was not normal behavior.
As important as it was for Christie to insure help arrived to others so that they could rebuild their lives, the stresses had mounted for her, and Cindy was practically at her breaking point, so as their business projects came to completion, the idea of going home brought a huge sigh of relief along with big smiles to their faces.
Although their flight was expedited, it still felt long. The taxi ride from the airport was uncharacteristically quiet despite the driver's attempts to entertain them with stories from other fares, and it wasn't until he pulled into their parking lot that they seemed to liven up again.
They barely took the time to bring their stuff inside and regroup mentally before setting out to look for Brian. They drove to his house first, but noticed that it appeared to be vacant for some time. They contacted their friends and asked neighbors if they knew where he went, being anxious to see him again, but were disheartened by the fact that he was nowhere to be found.
For the next couple of days, they continued driving around to places that were frequently visited before. Parks, bars, bowling alleys, and clubs -- still, no one knew of his whereabouts or had even seen him for at least half the time they had been gone. Their worries grew, especially for Christie since she couldn't track a mental visual like she used to, however, she could sense that he was alive, which calmed her slightly.
Close to a week's time passes without any luck.
Christie's nightmares subside but leave her confused as there are still no visions of him during the day, and Cindy has become a mess in her own privacy, but tries her best to compose herself around her lady. They reminisce over their favorite pastimes with him, and while many of them include trampling, it doesn't make engaging in it between each other any easier since they feel that an important piece of their life is missing.
Still, one more attempt is made to lighten the mood on a rainy night. Cindy slowly takes a seat on the floor in what they've deemed 'his spot', next to the wall with the couch at her head and the love seat at her feet. As soon as she lies back, the momentum of time slows to a crawl as nostalgia consumes them both.
Christie places a single foot on Cindy's stomach, but can't bring herself to stand up full weight. She rests her head against her arm, which in turn rests against the wall. She glances down as her tanned bare foot softly glides over her lady's exposed skin and their eyes connect in thought, when suddenly a vision comes to her.
With her foot pausing on Cindy's chest, Christie starts getting a blank stare on her face as she analyzes the figure in her mind. The face she sees is darkened and blurred, and she can tell the person is soaked most likely from the rain. Her heart starts to race with hope.
"What is it?" Cindy asks as she feels her toes grip her.
Christie can't answer as she keeps trying to analyze what she's seeing.
As suddenly as it appears, the vision is gone. This in turn sucks all the feeling from her legs and causes her to fall into the wall and collapse onto Cindy's midsection.
"Hey!" Cindy yelps as she tries to sit up, scootching Christie onto her lap. "Honey, are you okay?"
"I... I think saw his face," she replies with a labored breath and a puzzled look.
"Whose face?"
A heavy, sluggish knock hits the door a few times.
Both girls' eyes shoot for it instantly, wide in disbelief.
Another couple of knocks bring them to their feet.
Cindy remains stationary as Christie inches toward the entry.
A third round of knocks is then followed by a thud, making Christie hesitate to turn the knob.
Having her body-guard instincts kick in, Cindy rushes towards the door as Christie opens it, only to have their exhausted companion collapse onto them.
"Oh my God, BRIAN!!!" they cry simultaneously.
He falls into Christie's arms; his near dead weight dragging her down with him. As heavy as he is, she doesn't let go, but rather cushions his decent.
"Oh sweetie it's okay, I've got you," she says instantly breaking into tears, "everything's going to be alright, we're here," wiping the wet hair from his face, pulling him in closer regardless of his soaked clothes.
Cindy's hands tremble as she helps with the hair in his face and notices his obvious shivering.
"Jesus hun, what happened to you," she asks as she pulls off his soaking coat and puts her arms around him and Christie, trying to warm him back up between them.
It doesn't take long before he falls asleep from the body heat.
Christie kisses his forehead, and then rests her cheek against it, cradling him until they get over the shock of seeing him again.
Eventually, he is moved over to the couch where he can rest comfortably.
