All Characters are over the age of 18.
It had been about two months since Adam had woken up in the strange land naked as the day he was born stripped of his memory.
It was in this place, in this condition, in this state of undress, he met Eve who found herself in the exact same position.
With no one else to turn to the two they decided to survive together, combining their unique skills so that they would both stand a chance of living to see tomorrow.
It didn't take too long before the two grew close, very close.
It was early one morning that Adam, with a sleeping Eve by his side coated in the sweat from the previous evening's lovemaking, realized that it was no longer a matter of survival.
If it was survival he would've been fine with the little tent he woke up sleeping in, with eating whatever he could pluck off a bush for raw sustenance.
He wouldn't have spent weeks on end painstakingly building a cabin out of the surrounding forest, pulling his hair out over minor details so it was just right, so Eve would like it.
He hadn't even let her inside the building while it was under construction, why, he wanted to surprise her.
What was wrong with him? The two of them were fighting for their lives out here and he was worried if she would find the shelter he was building "pretty", if she would like it.
But clarity came with that word, "Shelter".
It wasn't a shelter, he was building her a home, a home the two could wake up in with smiles on their faces, a home they could live a life in...
A home they could love each other in.
It wasn't just that he enjoyed having sex with her.
Make no mistake, he enjoyed that very much and looked forward to it every day.
But he also looked forward to the moments after, to the small talk they made afterwards, to falling asleep in each other's arms and to waking up every morning next to each other.
He was in love with her, as much with her body as he was with her soul.
He didn't care who he used to be, all that mattered was that the person he was now spent the rest of his life with this wonderful woman he found himself with.
All he could do was pray she felt even slightly the same.
So on the morning he had planned to show her the cabin he woke up with what felt like a boulder in the pit of his stomach.
Eve wasn't next to him, but he could still feel the shadow of warmth she had left behind so she couldn't have gotten far.
When he stepped out of the tent he saw Eve sitting on her log next to the fire, cooking up the last bit of a rabbit he had hunted the other day over the fire along with a few potatoes from her garden, it looked mostly cooked already.
"Morning handsome," she greeted him with a smile, naked as the day she arrived in his life.
"I overslept," Adam observed, walking over and sitting next to Eve on the log, the two exchanged a light kiss as he sat.
"I thought you earned it," Eve said, "You've been so working hard lately I just didn't have the heart to wake you up."
Adam smiled as Eve handed him his half of the rabbit and potatoes served on a small wooden board she had him cut to make a plate.
"Got any plans for today?" Adam asked as they slowly nibbled on breakfast,
"I think it's about time for the carrots to come out," Eve explained, "So that's exciting,"
"If they're half as good as the potatoes I'll be a happy man," Adam said, taking a bite of his roasted potato for emphasis.
"We'll they're only as good as they are because someone was nice enough to build me this super huge garden," Eve grinned,
"That is true," Adam joked, "I'm the real hero here,"
Eve laughed, covering her mouth so she wouldn't spit out the last bite of her food.
"So how's the cabin going?" She asked, waiting a moment as Adam stuffed down his last bite before taking his board and taking them to the waterline to wash them off.
"Actually," he said, hesitant to speak as he watched her clean the plates, "If you're interested... I'd like to show you the inside."
Eve paused, quickly swivelling her head around to face him.
"Wait really?!" She asked with great excitement, "Hell yeah I wanna see it, just gimme a sec!"
Moving double time Eve furiously scrubbed the boards with the small piece of cloth they had set aside for cleaning.
Eve had been bugging Adam for weeks to let her see what he had been building, this project had taken up his attention a good ten hours a day, every day, for almost as long as they had been here.
But Adam, because he wanted to surprise her, had requested she stay away from the building site for now, she had caught a few glimpses of what was going on outside but for the past week, he had spent all of his time inside developing the interior.
She desperately hid the boards with the rest of her cooking equipment and stood in front of Adam, eager to begin the tour.
"Alright then," Adam said, taking a deep breath and holding out his hand, which Eve immediately took, allowing him to lead her to his creation.
"Our first stop," Adam began as they climbed up the steps, "Is the front porch, it's nothing special, I thought it might be nice to sit out here together and watch the sunset or the rainfall or whatever, I thought I'd build us a little bench to put out here."
He looked to Eve for some sort of reaction, but her face was stoic and her eyes attentive, she almost looked like she was trying not to panic, especially when he mentioned building a bench to sit on.
"Okay, let's try it out inside," he said, trying not to scream at her lack of reaction,
"Gimme something damn it!" he thought.
He opened the front door and led her inside, letting go of her hand so he could close the door behind him,
Her attention was caught by a little stone fireplace in the far corner of the one-room cabin.
"I thought it would be better than the campfire," Adam explained, "I held the stones together with clay from the bottom of the lake, the smoke leads up to a chimney built the same way, you probably saw it outside, I thought it would be a nice place to cook, it would give us light, keep us warm, etcetera."
Eve just ran her fingers across the cold stone.
"I thought I could also build us a table," Adam continued, "Would be a better place to eat than a log, as you can see we're kinda light on furniture, that is except..."
He drew her attention to the corner of the room where he had built them a bed, twice the size of what they currently slept in with a mattress he had made himself, sewing together some of their cloth around a wooden frame and stuffing it full of long dry grass he had pulled from the field he had woken up in.
"I know you liked our little bed but I think we'll both be more comfortable without you sleeping directly on top of me," Adam explained as Eve looked at the bed.
"I thought you couldn't sew like this," Eve said, admiring the stitching, "You said you couldn't make us clothes."
