This is an encounter I had on another occasion when I went back to the same park as the "Bill's Lost Bet" story. This time though, I parked on a residential street at the other end of the park, near the farthest skywalk. This area was on the other side of the major highway I spoke about in that story. To get to the park, I had to cross over double train tracks, walk up a steep ramp and across the skywalk (over the highway) to the other side. That was then the farthest end of the park's path system.
I left my house, on the way to the park at about 8:30pm. Here in the Northeast it is only beginning to get dusk at this time although it is still pretty light out.
Anyway - whenever I go on these evening walks, I always leave my clothes at home. It's really exciting knowing that you don't have anything to cover up with, even if you have to. I drive a full size pickup so it sits much higher than regular cars. Itβs fun driving down the roads completely naked. You always have to watch for other trucks or tractor trailers, though, since they can get a great view inside my truck. Iβve never been afraid of being seen, Iβm just afraid of someone calling the cops.
Anyway, I get in my truck and drive to the place I intend to park. As I said, this is a residential area. The road comes into the development, goes all the way down to the tracks, and then turns left, just before the tracks. Before turning, there is a house on the right hand side facing the road.
I turn left and park about 50ft down the road. The next house is about 50-60 feet farther down the road on the left and has a couple good size trees in the front yard.
I look in my rearview mirror to see if there is any activity visible at the house which is now in plain site behind my parked truck, but don't see any. I cautiously get out of my truck, still completely naked, and somewhat run down the road, across the tracks and up the ramp, which is hidden from the house by trees, towards the sky bridge over the highway.
I stand a moment to get my heartbeats back to somewhat normal and then walk across the skywalk, which spans the 6 lane highway, to the sounds of several horns below.
