It was a Saturday afternoon, Francesca and her friend Hope were on their way home after a day out shopping. They had both been invited to a themed dress up party that was a few weeks away and had been out looking for clothes that fit with the costume ideas they had. Hope was aiming for an outfit that suggested a 1960's glamour movie star while Frankie was thinking about going as a flapper from the 1920's. While they'd had a good day out, their shopping trip hadn't been all that successful.
They were chatting when Hope suddenly let out a small excited yelp. "Frankie, let's check out the thrift store over there."
Frankie looked over to where Hope was looking and saw that they were coming up to a strip mall with a fairly large charity thrift shop. She was a little tired from the day and feeling discouraged from not being able to find any clothes that were suitable for the outfit idea she had. "Do you think the thrift store would even have anything worthwhile?"
"It can't hurt to check it out."
Before Frankie could say anything further, Hope turned off the street into the almost empty car park of the thrift store. Other than them, there was only one other car in the car park.
Frankie was a little dubious. "Do you think the store is even open?"
"It should be, it's too early for it to be closed."
After Hope parked the car, she and Frankie walked to the entrance of the thrift shop. The shop was still open but was due to close in just under half an hour. Hope didn't appear to pay any attention to the sign on the door and walked straight in with Frankie following behind her.
As indicated by the carpark, the store was empty except for the guy that was sitting behind one of the registers close to the entrance. He had been looking down at his phone but looked up as Hope walked by. Frankie recognised him as Adam, a guy who had gone to the same high school as her and had graduated in the same year. She had talked with Adam a few times in classes they had shared but that was the limit of their interaction.
Adam's gaze moved from Hope to Frankie and an expression of recognition appeared on his face. "Oh! Hey Francesca. How are you?"
"Hey Adam, I'm good thanks." Frankie didn't slow down to respond, she followed quickly after Hope who was making a beeline toward the clothing section.
The store was quite large with a few sections for different kinds of goods. The biggest section, taking up most of the store, was for clothing. The clothing section was helpfully divided into mens, womens and children's areas.
Hope immediately started looking through a rack that looked vaguely promising. As Frankie moved beside her, Hope paused her browsing. "So you know the guy at the register?"
"Yeah, his name is Adam. We were in a few classes in high school together, that's all."
"Oh. That's a little disappointing. You don't talk much about your time at high school."
Frankie shrugged. "There's not much to talk about. It was pretty uneventful." She shot Hope a teasing smile. "I wasn't the high school queen bee like you were apparently."
Hope laughed. "Fair enough. I guess I can't expect everyone else's past to have as much drama and excitement as mine."
Frankie looked over the registers and found that Adam was looking at them. He saw that Frankie was looking his way and he quickly shifted his gaze to his phone.
Frankie wasn't bothered by Adam looking at her and Hope. She thought that given how quiet the store was he must have welcomed some visual stimulation. Frankie assumed that he was mostly looking at Hope though. While Frankie knew she was at least pretty, between her and Hope her blonde friend was the more beautiful one between them.
Frankie was a bit taller than Hope and most of her height was attributable to her legs. Hope had more curves, both a bigger bust and a nice round ass. Even in the t-shirt and casual jeans she was wearing today, there was no hiding Hope's physical charms. Combined with her strikingly pretty face and bright blonde hair, Hope attracted attention as easily as she breathed.
Frankie's build was more toward slender, though she had nice mid sized breasts and an ass that gave her body some curves. With her brown hair and brown eyes, Frankie felt plain in comparison to Hope.
While Hope was aware of how attractive she was, she liked to downplay her looks and was complimentary to others. Besides her good looks, Hope was friendly and fun with a somewhat mischievous spark. With all that Hope had going for her appearance wise, it would have been easy for people to dislike or judge her but anyone who talked with her for a decent amount of time was usually charmed. A number of times, Frankie had witnessed Hope go through a party and end up talking with pretty much everyone. Frankie was used to everyone paying more attention to Hope and it really didn't bother her.
Nothing on the rack that Hope was looking through appeared to be suitable for what Frankie was thinking of for her outfit. She went over to another rack and started looking through those clothes. Some hot pink material caught Frankie's eye and on looking closer she saw that it was a blazer. Pushing aside the neighbouring items on the rack Frankie found that it wasn't just a blazer but was a full suit with matching pink trousers. She pulled the hanger from the rack and held it up for Hope to see. "Hope! Check out this suit."
Hope turned around and when she saw the hot pink suit her face lit up with excitement. "Wow, now that's a good find! What size is it?"
"I didn't check."
Hope left the clothes rack she was looking through to come over to Frankie. While Frankie held the hanger Hope checked the size tags on the suit. Soft excited laughs told Frankie that Hope had found that the sizes were a match for her. She took the hanger from Frankie and looked around the store. "Did you see if they had changing rooms here? Ah, there they are."
Hope quickly walked off in the direction of the changing rooms and after a moment Frankie followed after her. Frankie didn't go into the fitting room with Hope, instead waiting outside and browsing her phone.
It wasn't long before Hope came out of the changing room in the hot pink suit. She was topless underneath the suit blazer but with it fully buttoned the neckline was high enough that there was only a small amount of her cleavage on display. One of Frankie's eyebrows rose a little at the sight of Hope's bare chest. "Why did you take your bra off?"
