All of my writing is fiction and the stories and characters are all products of my imagination. They were created for my fun and, hopefully, your enjoyment. Some of the events in the stories are not particularly condoned nor encouraged by the author but are there to create and enhance the story of the imaginary characters and their lives. Comments are always encouraged and carefully reviewed. All characters within the story that need to be are 18 years of age or older. Hope you enjoy!
This is a continuation of my story
The New Boarder
. It would certainly help to read that one first as there's a good bit of character introduction there. Also, the details of the situation.
The morning was a day of individuals. Larry was up and off to work early after fixing his own breakfast. Veronica wasn't far behind him. Sammi had a 9:00 class so she slept in a little and then went to school. It wasn't like Veronica wanted to see her so they could sit down and talk about last night with a few questions:
"Did you like the way that Larry and I were having sex?"
"Do you want me to explain anything or show you what I was doing?"
"Did you go back to your room and enjoy your bullet after we finished?"
Not exactly questions she was thinking about asking Sammi. Still, they had made eye contact while it was happening and there was no way to deny it had happened. She had about decided she wasn't going to say anything and leave any interaction regarding it to Sammi. Of course, Larry was still totally in the dark about the whole thing.
It was that very night however, at dinner, that Sammi looked at Veronica, a big smile on her face. Veronica thought this might be it, from the look of the smile.
"Guess what?" Sammi asked, seeming just a little excited.
"No idea," Veronica answered, not wanting to go anywhere with that possible invitation.
"I've got a date," was Sammi's quick reply. Now even Larry looked up from his food. It was not at all something that Veronica was expecting.
"Sounds cool," she said. "Who's the lucky guy?"
"His name's Andy. He's kind of a techno-geek. But he's helped me a whole lot at school with tech stuff, saved my butt a couple of times." She laughed. "He's just a nice guy and we've been hanging out at school a lot. I been encouraging him to ask me out but I think he wasn't getting the message. Thought I was going to have to say, 'Why don't you ask me for a date? I'll probably say yes.' I think he finally figured it out and he asked me this morning. No big deal, really. We're going to a movie and maybe get a burger or something."
"I hope we get a chance to meet him," Veronica replied, really interested to see a guy that Sammi might date. She'd called him a techno-geek which seemed to rhyme with nerd to her. She thought that anyone who was described that way would be pretty awed to have a girl who looked like Sammi take an interest in him.
"Probably will when he picks me up Friday night. He's not the best-looking guy around, but he's just so nice and friendly and helpful, you can't help but like him."
Even Larry got in on the conversation. "Hope it all works out for you, Sammi."
She giggled. "I don't think he's a life-partner type, yanno. Just a nice guy and we get along well. We'll see."
Friday came, Sammi got home from school, took a quick shower and had a little dinner with them.
"You look nice," Veronica said, looking Sammi over. Of course, Sammi looked nice even when she didn't look nice. Now though, she looked particularly nice, her long blond hair not in the usual pony tail but styled nicely around that very pretty face with those sparkling blue eyes, enhanced with some carefully applied makeup. The blouse she had chosen nicely highlighted her more than ample bustline and her skirt was short enough to make her legs look long and enticing. "Andy, isn't that his name, should be more than happy to be seen with you."
The tiniest hint of pink crossed Sammi's cheeks. "Thanks. I hope so. I said before, he's not the best-looking guy on the planet for sure but, he's so nice it more than makes up for that."
As if on cue, the doorbell rang and Sammi jumped up to answer it. She opened the door and ushered Andy into the living room.
"Guys, this is Andy Benson," she said, gesturing to a very tall and very slender young man who seemed just a little ill-at-ease. "Andy, this is Veronica and Larry, the very kind people who are letting me stay with them."
Andy sort of half-bowed toward Veronica. "Hello," he said. Then, he stuck out his hand toward Larry and they shook. "Hello," he said to Larry.
"So, we've heard about you from Sammi and it's nice to meet you," Veronica added, smiling at Andy whose face turned a bright red.
"The same," he said. Andy was obviously not a conversationalist with strangers. But beyond the red face he had a very warm and friendly smile. Veronica wondered why he wasn't wearing glasses as they certainly would have fit his look and what Sammi had said about him.
Sammi took hold of his hand, a kind of protective gesture Veronica thought, and Andy responded with a huge smile and a look that clearly expressed his happiness for what she had done. And mercifully, Sammi was leading him to the front door, away from his embarrassment, and Veronica and Larry who were causing it.
"We'll probably be late," Sammi said, so don't worry about us." She looked up at Andy. "Andy will take good care of me." Andy looked like he might faint at hearing that statement but Sammi evidently did squeeze his hand and then pulled it up in front of her. "Ready?" she said to him. Andy didn't look quite ready for Sammi but he was going, none-the-less. They disappeared out the front door.
"Wonder what that's about?" Larry commented.
"What do you mean?"
