Rewind...12 minutes behind the end of last chapter...just so you know...
"Snooping in my closet again I see."
Josie McKellen started conversation on her way home from school, the first time this week actually heading straight home. Her daughter Sable beside her in the passenger seat trying her best to play it off as being her sister Dakota appeared natural. Her mother wasn't even on to her yet. So cool!
"You said Sable and I could go through and find some clothes to wear. It's your fault for hanging up our new jeans."
"You both found them?" Sable looked away to mask her giveaway eyes, almost a goof up.
"Yep! I told Sable there was another pair, she wore hers too. Sorry we ruined our birthday presents."
"You're right I didn't hide them very well. They're second hand by the way, I found them at a Goodwill store. Two pairs together so I snatched them up."
"When did you go to a Goodwill store?"
"Sometimes when I run late it's not for the reason you think." Josie played it off. She was with the football team and Roman, she needed clothing that wasn't drenched in cum so made the stop to find cleaner outfits. Lies, lies, lies!
"I guess. I'm still getting used to you and Roman, with Daddy knowing all about you two."
"I'm not going to stop seeing either one Dakota. So, don't try to give me a guilt trip."
"I'm not. I just don't get why Dad isn't enough. Daddy is awesome."
"Yes he is...in every way. I just need...more. By the way, I'm proud of you for hugging Travis under such an emotional situation. That poor boy has to catch a break at some point. We can't hide this from Sable she will be angry if we do."
"I'll warn her. What time does Sable have to be at the football field?" She knew because she was Sable, but continued her charade.
"Piper told me 6:00. So, when we get home run up and tell her to get ready. I need a shower and a hug from your Father."
"Just a hug? No kiss?"
"Of course a kiss too."
"Why isn't Dad going to the game?"
"He has a meeting to go to for his game I believe."
"Stupid tank game." Sable was on a roll playing naΓ―ve.
"I know! Stupid tank game." Josie giggled, "It does pay the bills though Sweetheart."
"Angus kissed me earlier."
"Again? Getting serious?"
"Maybe!" Sable knew Dakota would say just that. Pondering it a bit longer she adds, "Mom? When you were my age did you like more than one boy?"
"Five." She replied, "Your Father was the winner of course...of my heart that is. Are we finding eyes on other young men?"
"Just one more. For now anyway."
"Anyone I know? Mace perhaps?"
"Okay, maybe three boys."
"You sound more and more like me. I hope Sable never ventures into your territory. She's just not as stable as you are."
"Unstable Sable?" She winced with a droll look, "She might surprise you Mom." Yes she would. "She did think Corey Samson liked her."
"Yes, I recall that now. I guess that blew over quickly seeing as how close she and Travis are getting."
"I told her Corey was a jerk. She's over him. Travis is probably a better match for her."
"As long as Travis is good to her I'll support he and Sable. I'd rather she date him than a boy that only uses her for sex. What am I saying? She's dating a pervert."
"He's not that bad. Is he?"
"Reputation says otherwise, but I suppose I shouldn't judge him harshly. Almost home Honey." Josie turned into the gates of their housing division Hooters Crossing and weaved onto Epicenter Court, the short street to their home and pulled up into their driveway. "I'm parking outside the garage. We won't be here long anyways." Coming to a complete halt she shuts her SUV off and sits there a moment. "Honey? Go on in and tell your sister we leave in under two hours."
"Okay Mom!" Sable hopped out and started for the front door when Josie noticed something strange.
"Why is Dakota holding Sable's cell? I know that's Sable's pink case. Dakota's case is purple. Hmmm? Are we being played?" Sitting there a bit longer she considered it and puffed her cheeks, "We can get to the bottom of that later. I need to call Roman and wish him good luck. Once he's on the field I won't see him until after the game. Halftime he's usually barking strategy." Dialing him she chuckled pondering further on her daughters mischief, "Well played ladies. Well played." She was convinced the girls were bluffing, she and obviously Henry. Then it dawned on her, "Wait! If Angus really did kiss...he kissed Sable. Oh lord!" Trouble ahead! Time to make that call. Minutes of sympathy pity she sighed "Here goes nothing."
"Oh, now you call." Coach Roman Crandell answered his cell as he was drying off from his refresher shower.
"I know! I know! Roman I'm sorry the last few days have been hectic. I've spoiled you haven't I? Two times a day just isn't feasible." At least for him, being taken daily in her 1st. period class had eliminated time spent with her Coach lover. Too bad, so sad!
"Nothing new!" He grumbled, "I just miss ya."
"I hear this same reaction at home Roman, Henry misses his wife as much as you miss your girlfriend. I'm trying to be fair here. Listen to me Handsome...Win the game tonight and I'll do whatever you want me to do until 2:00 AM. In case you've forgotten we always have tomorrow night Sweetie!"
"Tomorrow night? What the hell you planning short notice?"
"What?" She realized at his tone she had forgotten to mention the gathering tomorrow night with Piper and Roger at a bar down by the river. She had been so busy she had literally overlooked warning him of their date. The only planned out date he knew of was on her normal College teaching night where she challenged him to push her limits. She having already called the College to warn them she couldn't make it.
"Shit! I swore I mentioned tomorrow. Piper and Roger Dundee asked a bunch of us to meet for drinks tomorrow night at River Rats. Mimi Alexander and her girlfriend LeAnne will be there too. Dewey and Kevin are their dates. Damon Rice and his girlfriend Patrice will be there as well. It should be a blast."
"Nice heads up McKellen. Good thing I didn't plan on buffing my old trophies."
"I haven't been drunk in awhile you might have to carry me home. Yours that is." She giggled.
"Mine? You've only been here once. High time you wanted to camp out with me again."
"Yes I know it's been awhile since I've been to your house. Tomorrow night if you want. Deal?" His reply of "Sure!" seemed skeptical at best but finalized it with his own, "Deal!"
"Listen, you have a game to get ready for and I need a shower and change of clothes."
"What are you wearing? It'd be nice if you wore something respectable for once."
"What do I plan on wearing? Hmmm? I'm not certain yet. Any suggestions?"
"If I hadn't mentioned respectable I'd say nothing at all." He chuckled.
"Oooo! Nothing at all? You bad boy. What would your team say?" She knew exactly what they'd say. Less talk more action!
"Try jeans for once in your life."
"Jeans? Really? No dress?" That request depressed her, she looked forward to one of her short dresses minus panties. "For once I'm going to override your wishes Roman. It's hot out and I want to be comfortable. Forgive me but I'm wearing a dress."
Laying her forehead on her steering wheel Josie got grief, finally Roman Crandell caved with a hiss, "Wear what you want." ,followed by a, "I don't know why you asked for my suggestion." She didn't either.
"I adore you." She knew that would win him over. "Roman? Roman? Did you just hang up on me? SHIT!! I don't want to wear jeans." Nope! Not gonna happen! Getting out of her SUV Josie made her way up on to her front porch and stopped just outside to peer in. She found the lower level lifeless. No TV on, no one seen in the kitchen from the angle she had. Peace and quiet? That never happens in the McKellen household. "Hmmm?"
Opening the front door silently she stepped in easing it closed just too listen. Hearing only light pecks in the distance she concluded Henry was in his office. Not a peep out of the girls concerned her. Shrugging she started to head upstairs then felt guilty. She had gone off this morning without even kissing her husband goodbye, he being drunk on the couch. That sneaking out was going to likely happen more often due to Reese Teller. "I better make an appearance." Stopping only long enough to pop a breath mint in her mouth to mask the taste of an earlier blowjob she kicked her heels aside and made her way to Henry's office.
"Slave driving the girls?" She winks pointing at his monitor.
"Something like that." He withheld looking up at her until he finished his artwork, pausing his screen to greet his wife. "I fucked Kelly Herbert today." Where did that come from?
"Ohhh?" She lifted her brow, "How...was it? She?"
"Made love to her actually. I plan on doing that a lot more. She's...needy. How was your day?"
"Roman as always. He's insatiable." Josie was not going to indulge Reese or any of her other lovers. That might start a fight. One lover he might be fine with, multiple at one time maybe not. "You're awfully dressed up."
"Going out later."
"I knew you had plans. More Kelly?"
"Nope! Oh, Just so you know I...might be going to a strip club. Tessa's roomie Svetlana starts dancing at Cashanova tonight. Moral support!" It dawned on him not to mention Tessa being here, or having sex with her, she might wonder where Sable/ Dakota was during it. Better safe than sorry. Especially considering he knew it was Dakota at home posing as Sable. Momma McKellen certainly didn't need to become aware of their daughter's evil manipulation alongside Tessa Harper. World War Three if she did!
"Sounds fun. Have you noticed anything strange today?"
"Such as?"
"Dakota acted more like Sable on the way home." Bluff for now, "I also noticed she was carrying Sable's cellphone. Why would they switch cells?"
"Never noticed. Sable acted like Sable all afternoon. Mopey, she actually cleaned her room. I think she's worried about cheerleading tonight." Nice cover story!
