On to the next chapter! Hope you're liking the story so far. *WARNING* This next chapter involves interracial sex and aspects of, but not actual, cuckolding. If that's not your thing then you may want to skip this, but it's pretty integral to the story. Remember, I like comments. I do not like abuse, name calling, or anything I deem unconstructive. Those comments will not be tolerated and summarily deleted. Enjoy!
Two weeks raced by for Kevin and Danni like they were standing still. Hundreds of bids came in from many men and, to Danni's delight, quite a few women. With the bids came comments from the prospective dates; some singing the praises of Danni Dangerous' beauty, some professing their love for the bombshell redhead, and most with statements of what they'd like to do with/to Danni if they won the date contest. Kevin and Danni looked at all of them and began to narrow down the field.
The contest came to an end three days before the date was to happen. The rules specified that it was the winner's responsibility to arrange travel to Dangerous Danni's hometown for the date and secure hotel accommodations. Kevin and Danni sifted through the entries and whittled the field down to three men who not only had bid high but also were approved by Danni Dangerous herself.
"OK," Kevin said, "which one is it going to be, Danni? This one looks good. He's only thirty-eight and he bid a lot for you."
"He's not bad," Danni admitted but he wasn't her first choice. "I think the decision is down to these two." She held up the printouts of the two remaining candidates. Kevin gave a hard look at them and frowned slightly. Neither bid was as much as the one he had recommended at first, but the others were nothing to sneeze at either. Kevin took the sheets of paper from his wife and looked them over.
"So," he said after looking them over once more, "have you made your decision?"
"Yeah," Danni said with a little smile. She took the two printouts back from her husband then held one up for him to see. "This one." She turned the sheet around so she could read it aloud. "Darren Washington of Syracuse, New York. Not too far from us and he's good looking too. Worthy of a date with the one and only Danni Dangerous." She waved her arms about her with an air of regality as her husband looked over the sheet again.
"Have you ever..." he started then stopped. He wasn't sure how to continue the thought that was in his head without sounding like a jerk.
"Have I ever what?" Danni asked, begging Kevin to complete his stalled question.
"Have you ever... dated a black guy?" Kevin blurted out. He waited for his wife's ire. Neither he nor his wife had ever had any qualms about a person's race or ethnicity. They had both worked with and befriended people of different cultures and there was never any issue with differences. Danni gave Kevin a bit of a sideways glance before she spoke.
"Is that a problem for you?" she asked him, not exactly answering his question but posing one of her own.
"Not exactly," Kevin revealed. "I just didn't know if you were attracted to African American men. You'd never said anything about it."
"I like pickles on my ice cream too, but I've never told you that either," she joked. "And for the record, yes, I did date a black man. Years ago, before we met."
"Did you... you know?" Kevin tiptoed around his next question.
"No, it never went that far," Danni replied, reading her husband's mind. "He was a nice guy, but he got a job offer after college and moved out to Arizona."
"But would you have?" Kevin kept up his query. "You know, if he hadn't moved out west?"
"Probably," she said as she laughed. "Like I said, he was a nice guy. And he was really cute. But we only dated for a couple weeks before he left. Are you OK with this?"
"Of course," Kevin said in his most confident voice. "It's no big deal. It's not like you're going to sleep with him, right?"
"I don't know," Danni said as she looked at the sheet again. "He's
really
cute! Six foot-four, one hundred ninety-five pounds, single, and he owns his own company. How much do you think he'd pay to..."
"Nothing!" Kevin shouted, cutting his wife's thought off before she could finish. "That's not the business we're in, Danni. You're not for hire."
She laughed again, "I think someone is a little jealous. Don't worry, baby. No one can replace you. This is going to be fun. Everything is going to work out fine. You'll see."
"Of course it will," Kevin agreed, not exactly believing his own affirmation. "Let's get you ready for the big announcement. Meet you in the basement in ten minutes."
Danni stood to walk out of the living room to get ready, but Kevin stopped her with a last question, "Pickles on your ice cream?"
Danni said nothing, only smiled and nodded a few times, leaving Kevin to ponder his wife's odd tastes in desserts.
"On ice cream?!" he said to himself as he stood from the couch. "Blech!"

Danni Dangerous revealed the winning name that night on the FYEO page then contacted Darren Washington of Syracuse, New York. Danni chatted with Darren for over forty-five minutes laughing and flirting with her weekend date over the phone. By the end of the call, Danni was laughing with her new friend like they were old friends and made plans to meet him at the airport Saturday afternoon.
"How'd it go?" Kevin asked, coming up from the basement after putting the video equipment away for the night.
"Oh, fine," Danni answered. "Darren is so nice! And funny! He had me in laughing so hard I almost peed myself!"
"Great," Kevin replied flatly. "I'm glad you two hit it off."
"Oh, baby," Danni said as she took her husband's face in her hands. "Don't worry. No one could ever replace you. Not for a night. Not for a lifetime. I love you. Just you."
"I love you too," Kevin said and kissed Danni's lips. "And I'm sorry. I know this was my idea. I haven't been acting very good lately, have I?"
"Understandable," Danni responded. "You feel threatened by another man. I get it. You have nothing to worry about."
"I know," Kevin said. "And I'll be on my best behavior when he gets here Saturday."
"I told him we'd meet him at the airport," Danni disclosed. "You could bring the camera and get some pictures for the page of me meeting him."
"Sure thing," Kevin said, trying to sound more on board with everything. "Did you tell him you were married."
"Yes," she replied. "He's fine with it. He repeated a few times, 'No expectations.' He just wants to have dinner and talk. Get to know Danni Dangerous for more than a naked woman on the internet. It'll be fine. You'll see."

Danni and Kevin waited at the airport for Darren's plane to land. They weren't sure what flight he would be taking, and they saw no expected arrival from Syracuse or anywhere else in New York for that day. Danni was wondering if she was going to be stood up when an announcement came over the loudspeaker asking her to pick up the nearest white phone.
"This is Danielle Bartolli," she answered when the line connected. "Yes. OK. We'll be right there. Thank you."
"What was that all about?" Kevin asked as his wife hung up the receiver.
"We're supposed to go to the executive lounge." Danni told him. "When we get there, we're supposed to tell the person at the desk who we are then wait for more instructions."
Dann led Kevin by the hand to the designated spot and announced her arrival to the brunette woman at the desk in front of the lounge. The attendant excused herself for a moment then returned with two flutes of champagne and handed the glasses to the couple.
"What's this?" Kevin asked the young woman.
"Compliments of Mr. Washington," the attendant answered. "He sends his apologies that he's running late. If you'll please follow me, I'll take you to the waiting area. He should be arriving within the hour."
The dark-haired woman opened the door to the lounge and let Kevin and Danni in. They were the only two occupants of the lavish room that had large windows on the far wall that looked out over the runway. Kevin and Danni sipped their champagne in silence while they waited. Less than fifteen minutes later, an announcement came over the speaker sitting on the coffee table.
"Mr. and Mrs. Bartolli?" the voice of the attendant out front said. "Mr. Washington's flight is now arriving."
