Lucas loved his career. Even as a kid, he had dreamed of being a lawyer, and here he lived that dream. He worked as part of a pretty large firm that specialized in defending people who had their rights denied. He'd had cases from police handling situations poorly, to companies getting sued for discrimination. And he made sure he got as much money as possible for his clients, so it was a win for everyone.
Ten good years passed since he finished law school at 25. His 35th birthday had already passed. When he was thirty, he had met his wife, Krissi. The two of them spent two years getting to know each other well before they got married. If anyone were to ask him about how much he loved her, he would honestly tell them.
However, Lucas had a secret that he didn't want to really tell anyone. He had it bad for his best friend, Daniel. Daniel stood taller than Lucas. Lucas stood at around 5'9" while Daniel was 6'5". They had known each other since they were kids, and even grew up in the same neighborhood. Lucas saw it as a good thing because his parents just didn't believe in moving him around, even when they got opportunities elsewhere. His dad would often get temporary housing in a city near his job to cut commuting costs. His parents worked hard to make sure he could go to law school, because both of them had important careers, his father being a surgeon, and his mother was a doctor. She worked at her own private clinic close to the house they lived in so she stayed put there so they didn't have to move him. And besides, her workplace was nearby.
Lucas was grateful for his parents.
He sat in his office after a busy day of cases, head down with a headache. The last one of the day was a big identity theft case involving a mother and her now adult child, who she had stolen the identity of and racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt under her child's name, starting them off with a horrible credit score. The judge sentenced her to 4 and a half years in prison for the damage caused to her child's credit, and with the court's help got their credit files reset to no credit and paid off the mother's fraudulent debts.
Lucas had a headache because the mother kept screaming in the courtroom about how her child was ungrateful and that she stole their identity to care for them. Typical shitty parent excuses, he'd heard so many of them.
'That damn woman has my head hurting still. Glad that case is over.' He sat up in his chair to massage his temples. Maybe he should get home soon, as it was getting pretty late. According to his smart watch it was about nine thirty. 'I hope Krissi won't feel pissed at me but she knows sometimes I just need to chill after a case. Don't want to bring my irritated mindset home to her.'
He glanced at his phone just as a notification popped up. It was a text from Krissi.
Krissi: When are you coming back?
Lucas: I'm gonna head home now. I'm just a little irritated from a case. Stupid mother stole her kid's identity, and she pissed off the judge, who is also a mother. I don't think I ever saw her that angry, and I've been in a courtroom with her multiple times already.
Krissi: People who do that to their kids are the worst. Anyway babe, I hope you'll be here soon.
Lucas: I'm on my way.
Krissi: Alright, I'll see you soon then :)
Lucas stood up, gathered the things he needed to take home with him like his briefcase, laptop and some paperwork from recent cases he needed to organize later. He headed out of the office, waving at the few others that were still there. Lucas walked out to his black sports car, opened the door and tossed his briefcase on the passenger seat. He started the car and headed out of the parking lot. As he drove, a thought about his best friend floated through his mind. It had been about a week since he last had time to hang out with him. Sometimes they would hang out to watch a game together or they would go out to a bar and get into some shit with other guys. The last time they hung out, Lucas checked his friend out yet again.
Lucas had a crush on Daniel since they were teenagers. But he never knew how to even approach it, and then he ended up meeting Krissi and falling for her, but his feelings for Daniel didn't change at all. He felt an even stronger affection for him, and it was to where Krissi teased him about his crush on his friend. But he never told Daniel and hoped that Krissi wouldn't tell him either. Maybe it was something he wasn't supposed to know. He pulled up to a convenience store to grab a snack or two before heading home. After some time driving home, he pulled up to his house.
When he arrived, he was shocked to see Daniel's truck in the driveway. What the hell was his best friend doing over here when they hadn't talked for a week? Why was he here? Was it to surprise him or something? Did Krissi invite him over as a surprise? Or was it something else? His heart raced, and he put his face in his hands as his mind jumped to one conclusion:
Krissi fucking his best friend.
He had never thought of her as the cheating type of woman, and with his best friend especially! What if that is what she was up to for him to be here? He didn't even want to go into the house as he felt quite irritated. First she makes fun of him for having a crush on his best friend, then she calls him over and fuck him? The hell? And what kind of best friend is he if he took her up on that offer? He didn't want to jump to that conclusion but that's what his mind screamed at him. 'She's in there fucking your best friend. The friend you said you liked. Which makes him a piece of shit for touching her.' Lucas shook his head, and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
The anger washed through him but he felt even more upset when he realized his cock was stiffening. Daniel was indeed taller than him. And hot. And so was Krissi, and he was so far gone in love with both of them. Why the hell is he turned on by the idea of seeing them while feeling this angry? Both of them betrayed him. And as much as he wanted a chance with Daniel, he didn't want it to happen like this. He wished it would have happened another way, with him having a say in it. Not like this. He knew what to expect when he walked in that door.
Lucas was drowning in so many feelings at once. He couldn't believe they would betray him like this. As he sat there, trying to think of how to confront them, his phone lit up. Of course she was texting him again.
Krissi: Why are you in the driveway?
Lucas: Why is Daniel's truck here?
Krissi: Get in here and find out.
Lucas: Why is he here, you better fucking tell me.
Krissi: And I told you to come in the house and find out. It's a surprise.
'This is some bullshit.' Lucas thought as he grabbed his stuff as he got out of the car. Here he was, still in his work clothes, the casual suit he'd worn today. He had already taken his tie off and pulled open some buttons. Lucas struggled to keep calm, just knowing that whatever he saw walking into that house would piss him off. He knew what he would walk into. He just couldn't believe they would do this to him.
Not only that, the fact that his cock seemed to be interested in this idea angered him.
