My First Time!
Anne the Exhibitionist, part 1
It was just a week since graduating and I was feeling pretty good about my job, my choice of school in the fall and even the new rose I had planted a few weeks ago in our garden. But I was very much wishing I could find a way to be naked in front of people without having to be embarrassed or worse, arrested! Yes, I had somewhat odd urges since I was about twelve which started with me looking at my bare self in front of a mirror, til I realized what I wanted was for others to see me too. But I had no desire to become a stripper or the like, and as I said I did not want to get arrested either, and so far I was not having too many chances to show myself off. Other than to mom and Sally, anyway. I suppose I could have run past Pop naked but it might have upset him and I loved my parents, and did not want to make either uncomfortable. So in a sort of silent agreement I only went naked when he was out of the house. I had turned eighteen this past winter, and now I had also graduated, but I was no closer to finding a safe way to be nude with an audience. And the more the better, was my feeling!
Today at work I was going to get an idea although I didn't know it yet! I work at a small fabric shop here in Pembroke. As well as cash, the owner also allowed me scraps and remainders and once or twice had even given me special order fabric that had been unclaimed, so I was very happy with my job and Miss Wiggins. In fact it was time to get there, before I was late! Enough daydreaming and staring at my own bottom! It was a pretty bottom though and I was sure others would think so too, given a chance to look at it! When I got there, Miss Wiggins was busy with a customer and told me we had a shipment, asking me to sort it and put the items out for sale. While I worked on the delivery she finished up and came back to lend a hand. We both carried out a few bolts of fabric and then I sorted out the notions. At the bottom was a small box with several spools of thread, very fine and almost invisible, marked only with the letter D. I had to ask what to do with that, never having seen it before.
Miss Wiggins smiled and said it was mostly a special order and told me she had a special customer, a stage magician who needed special items from time to time, and this was water soluble thread! Oh, did the thoughts race through my mind at that!
Before I even thought I said "So if I made a swimsuit and used this for the seams.."
Miss Wiggins grinned and said if I did that, I would be a very naked woman in about five minutes of entering the water, and wouldn't that be fun? Then she laughed and handed me two spools, telling me I could take a swimsuit pattern and try the thread out if I wanted! Not sure why, but I had worked for her for two years mow and felt she liked me as much as I liked her. So I told her I was pretty sure I was an exhibitionist but had not had a chance to try anything but this would look like an accident, wouldn't it? She grinned and told me it would indeed and confided she had a sister who was much like me, and was quite a show off! And if I was interested she would share some ideas she had helped her with, years ago. When I went home that evening I had the thread, a couple yards of pretty fabric and the swimsuit plans, plus several new ideas and a surprising new accomplice!
That night mom reminded me that Sally was coming home in two days, and she hoped we still got along. That made us laugh, and pop too. Sally and I have been inseparable pals since I was born I believe. We had the kind of bond twins often do even though she was a year older. After supper Pop said we should take a ride, so we got in the family car and he took the wheel. Mom sat next to him, so she could tell him how to drive. Sally and I often teased them that if Mom fell asleep Pop would go off the road! That always got a laugh. I had thought Pop was going to drive into the country or down by the lake, but we headed off in the direction of downtown. I was wondering if he left something at work when he pulled into Bert's garage, and parked the car. Then said to get out with him so we did. Mom had her "secret" smile, a tiny one that meant she had a secret and was keeping it, but you would know soon too. We were standing next to a very cute VW bug, cream yellow with iris and daffodils painted on it. With some artistic liberty as these were growing happily from pretty green vines!
Pop smiled and said "When your sister graduated we paid for her college, as you probably know. But you got a scholarship, and since your going further away (my school was NW of Boston) we decided to get you a car.
Before I even got to squeal, Mom said 'And I told him to get a pretty one that was safe and good on gas too!" and smiled at me as she handed me a key that said VW on it!
