I Now You're Not Supposed to Loo

I know you aren't supposed to look at other sauna users but..... I caught people taking a look at me, and I enjoyed the attention even if it was for a slightly unusual reason!

Stepping back and setting the scene for some context, my wife and I recently spent some time in a famous spa/sauna town in Germany's Black Forest and naturally wanted to take full advantage of the facilities available. The town itself is a picturesque, quintessential Schwartzwald town, everything you could hope for from the region. Pretty streets, fine dining and drinking establishments along with some of the most perfect bakeries selling the best Black Forest Gateaux I could ever hope to try though the main attraction for the town are the two splendid sauna facilities.

The one we visited on 3 occasions during our visit has the main area with an array of swimming and spa treatment areas, pools of varying temperatures and healing properties all of which require users to wear swimming costumes. This place also has an optional sauna area in which nudity is mandatory, very German! We spent some time swimming before venturing upstairs to see what the sauna area was all about, WOW! it is so much more than just a sauna!

We expected something like a small changing area and a sauna, maybe a steam room, nothing much more but the only thing we got correct was the small changing area! through the double doors was indeed a small area to undress but then a large area sprawls out in front of you with saunas and steam rooms, plunge pools, hot tubs, showers, a bar and lounging areas. After trying a few of the saunas we followed a doorway that led to an outdoor garden area with more woodland style saunas, what a treat!

This whole sauna are is "naked only" and I really must add that this is NOT a place to go to be a creep or live out some fantasy, everyone is of course naked but this is Germany, its just how they do sauna. You must take a towel with you to sit on in the saunas but everything else is nude, you are free to wear your towel to cover yourself if you wish or not if not, both are totally acceptable and nobody will judge you for your appearance, I truly mean this, that said, people are still human.

Showering and sauna go hand in hand, its such a nice way to enjoy the heat, at first I was quite guarded and cautious about being nude in such a public place. I enjoy being naked but I've always been rather self aware and it stems from a place of not wanting to upset or offend anyone, it also comes from the self consciousness I have over having a very small penis, unusually small for a man of my age, height and shape a detail that is all the more obvious for the fact that I shave meticulously and keep myself totally smooth. My transitions between the dark sauna and shower were with my towel wrapped around so that nobody would see.

As I realised that nobody cared or really even noticed what the other people did or looked like I came to realise that my caution was not completely necessary and I could relax a little, once I felt at ease, I felt more, much more, comfortable and was truly able to enjoy my surroundings. Knowing that me being naked was not going to upset anyone meant I could feel totally at ease, even completely naked around the entire area. I still felt quite self conscious about my size but I knew it was a "me" problem and not anyone else and when I checked myself out I could see that yes, I was certainly smaller than average, it wouldn't arouse any interest, it was just a willy, albeit a bit of a small one.

After about an hour of sauna/shower I could feel I was getting pretty heat saturated and needed to chill out for a bit, walking out in the fresh, outdoor air was nice and taking a beer was good but when I went back into a sauna I quickly felt overheated and overwhelmed so decided (after a shower) to try the cold plunge pool which is such an instant refreshment though it feels uncomfortably cold, the result is so good!

I didn't notice, not at first anyway, but as I re-entered the sauna my wife was sat in she pointed it out to me, "your willy" looking down "your willy has gone REALLY small, like when you go skinny dipping" and she was totally correct, my penis was a little retracted more than before and I know all too well that once it starts it just continues until it is entirely retracted and takes it's own sweet time to pop back out.

Just for additional context, "normal" size for me is around 1" including foreskin (flaccid, erect is about 2" but that's irrelevant for this story), this is my standard, regular, every day cruising size, some days it is a little bigger, some a little less but rarely by much. Occasionally if I'm nervous or cold my penis retracts, sometimes this is just a general reduction by about 50% in length and width but more often it is a total retraction where the whole length inverts and I'm left with a coin sized foreskin that marks the spot where my willy reappears, usually after 2-3 days. Of course, this is embarrassing but its rarely an issue as very few people will have the fortune of seeing it. I will openly admit that I look and feel ridiculous for a few days, a look which is exacerbated by my 6' 2" athletic physique but.... it is what it is, right?

The fact my wife spotted before me meant that other people had already surely seen and as I sat in the sauna surreptitiously checked myself out I saw that I was already 1/2 "normal" and could sense the impending disappearance of my rapidly shrinking penis when I had a weirdly liberating surge of confidence that I could do this, nobody had judged me before so I had nothing to fear now. The next break from the heat, I elected to find a place to sit and chill in a hope that NOT taking another cold plunge may slow the retraction so we grabbed a drink and looked around for a space to sit but the only place with 2 seats was amongst the loungers facing the entry and main thoroughfare so down we sat.

Loungers are great for lounging, terrible for sitting casually, everyone knows this right?! The rules of the sauna are clear, no clothes and you only sit on your towel so I laid down my towel and lay down on the lounger and immediately two things were completely obvious to me, the first was that my penis and balls were very small, very visible and my dick although fully shrouded by my foreskin and being only about 1/2" in length was pointing directly forward (or upward as I lay there). Secondly (and perhaps more concerning) the position of myself and my chair meant that I was in the direct line of sight for people entering, one sauna with windows faced me and anyone passing to take a shower.

I remained determined to "own this" and resist the urge to hide but I had a twinge of guilt which, now looking back, is utterly laughable. I thought that anyone who saw might assume from the upwards direction that I was erect, obviously now I see that I did not in fact look hard, I looked so small my dick would only point forwards. I resisted the urge to hide or to move, I sat and enjoyed my drink and though I didn't look, I could feel my retraction continue, I knew it was happening and I knew there was nothing I could do to stop it at this point besides, this was a chill, cool place where its about being in the sauna, not a place of fear or judgement.

As I walked to the next sauna, I caught a young couple (mid 20's) in my peripheral vision discretely nudge each other to make sure they could see what the other had seen and then pretend they didn't see! As I alternated between sauna and cold plunge, I needed to extend the cold to cool down enough to go back to the sauna, within 3-4 dips, my retraction was complete and for the remainder of my sauna day it would stay tucked away completely. Three more blissful hours of sauna, cold, relaxing.

Some saunas are more well lit, some are darker, the outside walk ways are all well lit, chilling out in front of one of the outdoor saunas I pretended not to notice several glances, its only natural to be a little curious I suppose! On the walk to take a shower or get a drink, I spotted people checking my out, probably not deliberately but more like shock, double take looking and a few girls with their partner couldn't help staring and on one of my last cold dips, as I got out of the water, 2 girls saw me and looked right at me, accidentally at first but because they were bending over to re-dress, they were looking right at my crotch at nervously giggled before laughing and running away probably more embarrassed than I!

Its 3 days since I came out of the sauna for the last time and my dick has not yet revealed itself but its fine, I feel more confident and empowered than I have in a long time. I feel comfortable nude even though I had on show, my penis of a size so small that estimates would suggest less than 1,000 males globally have comparable size it makes it a very rare sighting for many people.
