Introduction
Anna was a first-year student at her state university. She was petite at 5 feet tall and 120 pounds, with green eyes, fair skin with freckles, and medium to large breasts that stood proud. She was smart and quiet and had had absolutely no luck in the men she'd chosen to date so far.
Anna grew up in a small town 20 minutes away. Most of her classmates (those who had graduated and gone to college) were at the same school, but the university was so large that she didn't bump into any of them very frequently. That was fine with Anna, as she was anxious to reinvent herself and break free of the narrative that the people in her tiny, dead-end hometown had for her.
She had always done well in school, played in the band and was always first chair, and edged out her one competitor for the valedictorian spot her senior year. Anna took all the advanced classes her tiny school offered (which wasn't many). She went to the games and the dances, appeared in all the plays, and was on student council, but still felt like something of an outsider. By the time high school was over, she'd dated most of the boys in her class, and a few in the grades above and below her. She wasn't unique in that -- it was a small school, and nearly every combination of boy and girl in her class had been a couple at one point or another. There were, in fact, several students who weren't straight, but to admit as much in that conservative atmosphere would have meant social suicide and possibly disownment from family.
Despite working with the same dating pool as the rest of the girls in her class, Anna seemed to stumble into humiliating dating scenarios left and right. She got used to make another girl jealous. She got dumped the afternoon before prom. She fell hard for guys who just weren't that interested. She went out with guys and thought that if she let them have a little fun, they'd like her and stick with her, only to have them share the intimate details of their encounters and make her the butt of so many jokes
Her longest-lasting boyfriend was cruel to her at every turn, but she took everything he dished out while her classmates whispered about it. The thought of being single again, of having to try dating someone else was, somehow, even worse than the emotional abuse her boyfriend inflicted. If she was honest (and introspective enough to realize it) she'd have to admit that some part of her felt she deserved to be treated badly.
Through all of this, one thought pervaded her mind each day: Graduation couldn't come soon enough.
And now here she was attending college, living in the dorms, meeting new people and happy for the first time in years. Anna was determined to break out of her shell and meet fun people who would treat her better, and she was especially motivated to find a boyfriend who would treat her right and hold onto him.
Her hall in the dorms was the honor program house. Every door in that hallway belonged to one of the awesome people she'd met through her honors seminars and orientations and social mixers. The group became very tight very quickly, and Anna began to make friends she trusted and wanted to spend her time with. She even found a new guy she liked and began trying to get his attention.
His name was Josh. Josh, like the rest of the honors crowd, was a bit of a nerd but in all the best ways. He had a great sense of humor, he told interesting stories about travelling with his family, he asked thoughtful questions and was genuinely interested to hear your answers, and he had a smile that gave her butterflies. Anna was, by no means, the only girl on the floor to have noticed his charm and good looks, and she began to despair that she didn't have a chance. For all of her maneuvering to be near him and hinting that she'd like to spend more time together, Josh either didn't notice or wasn't interested.
Six weeks into the first semester, word got around that Josh's brother was in a fraternity, and that Josh was gathering a group to go to a party there the following Friday. Anna, not wanting to miss out on the general fun of a party with her friends, and also sensing a potential opportunity for alcohol to provide some social lubrication in her attempts to interest Josh, made sure to "accidentally" bump into him in the common spaces a bit more than usual. When the following Thursday rolled around and she still hadn't officially been invited to the party, Anna took a final shot and casually brought up her siblings in conversation and asked if Josh had any brothers or sisters. He told her about his brother, who was in a frat here at the university, and Anna mentioned that it must be nice to get to see his brother so often, as she had only gone home once since school started and was missing her sisters, and asked if he actually did see his brother very often.
After what felt like a lot of conversation-steering, Anna finally navigated to the point where Josh mentioned the upcoming party and suggested that she should come with the group. Anna, giving no hint she'd been fishing for an invitation all along, acted suitably surprised and pleased, and agreed to meet the group the following evening at 8 to walk over to the frat house.

"Georgia, which one do you think for tonight?" Anna asked her roommate, holding up two different tops she was debating between.
"Tough call," Georgia answered. "The green matches your eyes, but I think your boobs will look better in the red one."
"Red one it is!" Anna answered, at once. "I think my boobs have a better shot than my eyes at getting Josh to pay attention to me!"
The roommates laughed, knowing it was true. The boys in their house were some of the smartest, most sophisticated boys on campus, but they were still teenage boys.
Georgia and Anna had been randomly assigned as roommates. Georgia was a bit looser in her style of dress than Anna was and had encouraged her to have a little more fun and show off her impressive assets. Anna wasn't a prude, but her fashion sense had evolved in a town where revealing styles of dress would have been a minor scandal at best. Georgia had already influenced her way of thinking about how she dressed, and the fact that the two were nearly the same size and that Georgia was generous about loaning her clothes out made it easy for Anna to embrace her newfound sensibilities.
Anna took off her T-shirt and put the red shirt on, then twisted and turned in front of the mirror, scrutinizing the look. In her assessment, it was good, but not great. She looked nice, but she really wanted to look hot. Georgia seemed to feel the same way.
"You know," Georgia began, "If you're looking to turn heads, you should wear my green tube top. Green for your eyes AND your boobs will look great!"
"You think so?" Anna asked. "I'm not so sure -- aren't my boobs a little big for a tube top? I've tried on a few, but it always felt like I was going to fall out."
"Try it on and we'll see," Georgia answered. "If it doesn't work, you can come back to the red one you've got on."
Anna agreed and shed her red shirt, then took the green top Georgia had retrieved from her wardrobe and put it on.
"Well, that won't work," Anna laughed, looking in the mirror. "My whole bra is showing!"
Georgia laughed along and said, "You can't wear a full bra with a tube top! You can wear a strapless bra, and it won't show -- or at least not much. If you really want to get Josh's attention, though, just go without! Free the beasts! You'll look super-hot!"
Anna was unsure whether that was a good idea but eventually caved and tried it without her bra. Georgia cheered and whistled at her, and Anna had to admit it looked really good. The top fit her like a second skin, emphasizing her best features. It was also short enough that her tight tummy and pierced belly button (her secret since she turned 18 during senior year - Mom and Dad would never have approved!) showed below. The fabric clung attractively to her shapely breasts, and the lack of strap lines added to the appeal immensely. Unfortunately, as soon as she turned to investigate another angle, she felt the top shifting in a way that made her worry that she would fall out entirely.
"I can't wear this," she said, disappointed. "I'm gonna fall right out!"
"No, you won't!" Georgia assured her. "I never wear a bra with that and it's fine."
