In a dimly lit room with a few occult like artifacts, a witch-like being named Morgana Devitch was setting up a cauldron. She seemed to be preparing to make a brew of some sort. She had most of the ingredients out, but she was missing a big one.
Just as she wondered when it would arrive her crystal ball made a noise. She chuckled, "Perfect...it'll be here soon."
She got a box of Dignity Dash that had a drawing of a bedroom on it, with a monstrous figure visible off to the side. She then placed the post it note on the wall and shot a magic burst of energy at it with her wand, turning it into a portal. She then kicked the box into the portal and it shut.
She went back to the crystal ball to watch the fun begin...
The box appeared in a flash of light, in a dark hallway in an ordinary house. No one was around to see it appear. From another room, you could hear sounds of a struggle. Eventually culminating into something being flung towards a door like it was a bag of garbage.
The door opened and a man in white and blue striped pajamas ran out of the room in a panic. He was running to his kitchen to wash his face to wake himself up. But he was in such a rush to get there that he tripped over the box, landing right on his face.
"OW...oh god. Why is this happening to me?"
Before he could get to his feet, he heard his bedroom door open and then slam shut. A demonic woman in a light orange gown and white boots was heading right towards him. As she saw him on the floor, she smirked. She was closing in on him and wasn't going to get to his sink in time.
He looked at the box he tripped over and in desperation held it in front of him as if it would protect him. She looked at it and started to laugh.
"Cute, Diego. Very cute. What, did you want to play a game or something?"
That's when he had an idea. "Y-yes! I do want to play a game with you. I challenge you to a game of..." he quickly looked at the front of the box, "...Dignity Dash!"
She slapped the box out his hands and grabbed him by the collar.
"Wait but, I thought demons loved to be challenged to games! I mean, I don't exactly have a fiddle but, it's the same principle, right?"
She reached into her dress for more sleep dust.
"I-I MEAN IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME THAT'S FAIR, I UNDERSTAND!
I MEAN, A DEMON LIKE YOU PROBABLY HAS NO EXPERIENCE IN MORTAL GAMES AND WOULD LOSE TO ME EASILY!
"
He said this in absolute terror, hoping she'd fall for the bait.
She did. "
Grrrra
RRRAHGH!!!!
"
She dropped him to the floor, screamed, "
CURSE YOU, CHARLIE DANIELS!!
" and went and pulled up a chair, sitting down at his kitchen table.
With a sigh she then said, "Let's just get this over with. If I win this, your soul is mine. No questions asked."
"A-and if I win, you leave me alone and my soul stays with me!"
"Very well. Set it up."
Diego got the box and opened it. He was puzzled to see there wasn't much of anything in there. He got the board out and looked over the instructions, there was nothing here that told him how to play. As he looked at everything that came with it, The Mistress got impatient.
"
TONIGHT, DIEGO!
HURRY UP AND START THE GAME!
"
"I'm working out how this works, ok!"
"You're challenging me to this and you don't even know how to play it?"
"Do you?"
The Mistress looked over the game. She'd never heard of this before. "Nope, never seen this before in my life...or unlife."
"Well, at least we're on equal ground here."
"
I hate being on equal ground.
I grow tired of waiting. Let's just put you to sleep now..." she started to reach for the dust again.
"
WAIT! I THINK I GET IT NOW!
Step one, pick your piece."
Diego looked through the available pieces. No blue or green!? There wasn't much to choose from.
"
PICK ONE!
"
"Alright...I'll take white, I guess."
She picked an orange piece. She then snapped her fingers to change it into a purple piece. It was now purple.
"Step two: Each player must place their piece on the starting space."
They both did, but as soon as The Mistress placed her piece on it, the piece went back to being orange. "What the...?"
"Step three, With all players having a hand on their piece, Player 1 must now say, "Let the game commence.""
He then put his hand on the white piece on the board, The Mistress tried changing her piece to purple to no avail. As she put hand on her piece, she wondered out loud to herself, "What is this game? Why can't I change my color...wait this isn't normal plastic...."
That's when she got a look of realization. "
DIEGO, WAIT DON'T SAY-
"
"Let the game commence!"
"
NOOOO!
" she tried removing her hand from the piece, but she couldn't.
Diego started to panic. What about this would make her react like that?
Before he could think any further, both of them disappeared into a burst of bright light.
Diego groaned as he woke up. He was in the middle of a beach that looked to be made of plastic. As he stood up he looked down and confirmed that yup, he was naked.
"Of course. What was I expecting? A normal board game with a succubus? I'm such a moron."
He looked around for something that could end his life, but as he walked around for a sharp object or some place to jump off of, he heard a roar from his right. He turned just in time to see The Mistress lunging right at him in demon mode, claws out in anger.
She pinned him to the floor and looked pissed beyond belief. "
WHAT MANNER OF TRICKERY IS THIS!?
"
"What do you mean!? What kind of dream is this!?"
She started to choke him. "
TALK! HOW DID YOU GET THIS GAME!?
"
"I don't know...it was just there!"
