You would think that being retired would give you lots of time to do the things you want to do. My wife and I always had things on the go but we finally said to each other that we need a break away from it all. A trip north would be just the thing.
We left on a Monday morning to avoid the Sunday night traffic returning from cottage country. The drive would be 5 hours but the remote isolated cottage resort was worth it. We had researched the resort on line. We booked a small cottage on the water that appeared to be isolated from view of the other cottages. We were not adverse to outdoor nudity and sex but had never been knowingly seen in public.
As we drove the traffic thinned out. We talked as we drove, commenting on the scenery and how it changed as we got further north. Passing cars and trucks before the highway narrowed we played a game, asking ourselves what was going on in the other cars and trucks, hoping that we may see something interesting.
