This is the second chapter of my first story. There is far more fiction here than in the first chapter. I want to thank everyone for the feedback so far. More is encouraged! Enjoy!

"Oh, hi Jack..." Sharon hesitated. She didn't want things to be awkward with her friend, but at the same time, they did sleep together last night. "No, I'm not busy. I was just doing some reading."
"Good. I wanted to talk to you about last night." he said.
"Great." she thought sarcastically. "Uh... what about it?" she finally answered him.
"I know we were both pretty drunk. I just wanted you to know I wasn't trying to take advantage of you."
"Is that so?" she asked. "By the way you were teasing me, it seemed like you were milking every second."
"Sorry. You know how I can get. I go on autopilot."
"Funny you say that. Normally, when I go on autopilot, things around me get worse. Not better." As soon as she finished typing the words, she realized she paid him a compliment.
"Haha. But anyway, I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't trying to fulfill an agenda. I wouldn't want to be the cause of ending you and your beloved boyfriend's relationship."
"He would have to find out about it in order for that to happen. And you know I'm not one to gossip."
"Haha. That's true." He laughed. "But if it's not any trouble, I wouldn't mind seeing you again. I'm mean... not like
that
. Just hang out for a few hours."
Sharon felt a chill run down her spine. She knew she shouldn't spend another hour with him, let alone another evening. But before she could answer him, he noted her hesitation.
"I promise, we won't... uh, you know. I'll be on my best behavior."
"I've heard that before." She retorted. "I'll agree on one condition."
"What's that?"
"No alcohol. I don't want to hear that drunk excuse again. From either of us. Deal?"
"Haha. Deal. You choose the venue this time."
She took a minute to think. Sharon wanted to make sure she picked a place that didn't serve alcohol. She didn't want to be susceptible. "How about Anne's? They have a great Cappuccino Swirl. I've been craving one lately."
"That sounds good. And it's near my place too!"
"Ugh. You can be so cheap. You'll walk 10 miles just to save a few bucks on gas."
"Damn right. Haha."
"When did you want to meet?"
"How about Thursday at 8? Amazingly, I have the entire weekend off, and I wouldn't mind starting early."
"Cool. See ya then."
"Awesome. Later."
Sharon hoped that things wouldn't escalate like last time. Then, she thought how Susan would take the news.
**********
"You're seeing him again? Don't you remember what happened last time?" Susan shouted.
"There's no need to get all red in the face! Geez. We're going to Anne's. Not a drop of alcohol in sight. So it shouldn't be a problem." Sharon tried reasoning with her. "Besides, he told me that what happened the other night was not intentional."
"And you actually believe him? He is
manipulative
! M-A-N..."
"I can spell Susan." she deadpanned. "Look, I understand you're looking out for me. And I greatly appreciate it. I really do. But do you want me to be cooped up in the house all day, everyday while David is at boot camp? I'd be bored out of my fucking mind. And it would only make me miss him more."
"You have a point. But with Jack?
Jack???
Of all people?"
"Let me guess. You don't like him." Sharon retorted.
"It's not that I don't like him. I just don't like the situation you're in. This is dangerous territory. I don't want anyone getting hurt."
"Your concern is noted." She said blankly. "If you're really worried, you can come along."
"I'd be the third wheel. I wouldn't enjoy myself."
"Bring JT with you! It'll be like a double date... sort of."
"Jack is
not
your boyfriend. And JT isn't my boyfriend. We're just talking."
"Which is why I said 'sort of'. Come on. You can keep your worried eyes on me and we can go out together. It's something we haven't done in quite a while."
"Alright, you've convinced me. I'll ask JT if he wants to go. Anne's right?"
"Yeah. 8 o'clock on Thursday." Sharon confirmed. "So you have a few days to prepare."
"This is completely casual right? You know I hate dressing up."
"Wear whatever. It's not like the fashion police will be there."
"Shut up!" Susan pouted.
**********
Sharon was dressed in her favorite dark wash jeans along with her green halter top. To complete the look, her leopard print heels. She brought her black leather jacket in case it got cold. When she pulled up to Anne's at 7:50, she saw Susan getting out of her car.
"Hey hot stuff!" She joked. "I never realized how good green contrasts with your
chocolate
skin."
"Oh hush! I figured I'd wear this because I hadn't worn it in a while. Frankly, I'm surprised it still fits."
"Especially with those big knockers you've got."
"Bitch."
"Hey! Just another compliment." Susan giggled. JT came around to the other side of the car, lightly blushing at Susan's observation. "Oh! I'm so bad with that. JT you remember Sharon, right?"
"Uh, yeah." JT timidly shook hands with Sharon. "I must admit, that outfit is a head turner."
"See what I mean? Now you've got JT eyeing you!" Susan teased.
"Well, thank you JT. Susan, you hush. Now let's go inside. I've got a craving to satisfy."
"I hope you mean the coffee." Susan retorted.
"Of course that's what I meant... bitch!"
"Hey! Just teasing!" Susan looked ahead of them toward the door. "Oh look, I see Jack. Did you plan the leather jacket thing? Cuz I see he's wearing one too!"
Indeed, he was wearing his leather jacket. Sharon had fond memories of that jacket. In the movie theater, in the field by the lake, and in the coatroom of a friend's party...
"Yo Sharon!" Susan shouted.
"Wh-what?" She realized she'd been caught daydreaming. Susan and JT were already a few feet away.
"Are you coming?"
"Yeah. Of course."
**********
Even though Anne's was dry, there was still a dance floor and a DJ. As the four of them entered, Susan and JT headed for the dance floor as Sharon and Jack found a booth to sit. Although the lighting was dim, Jack could still see the beauty in next to him.
"Wow, look at you!" Jack whistled. "And how did you know I was going to wear my leather jacket?"
"I didn't. Susan teased me about that." She blushed. "You don't mind that they came along, do you?"
"Nah, not at all. But I am relieved she didn't come alone. Knowing her, she would be like a chaperone."
"Exactly. That's why I made sure she came with someone. Now, let me get that Cappuccino Swirl!"
As Sharon and Jack got their orders, Susan kept an eye on them from the floor.
"You have no idea how glad I am they don't serve alcohol here." Susan whispered into JT's ear. "Otherwise, we all wouldn't be here. I wouldn't allow it."
"Allow?" JT wondered. "You aren't her mother you know."
"But she is my best friend. I remember how bad of an influence Jack can be. I don't want her relationship with David to suffer because of it."
"You are amazing, you know that."
The compliment took Susan off guard. She rarely got recognition from the opposite sex, especially from the guys she admired. Even though they were a good distance apart, Sharon could see Susan was enjoying herself.
"Now that's a good sight to see. Not only is she having fun, but she's out of my hair for a little while." She laughed. When she turned back to look at Jack, he was staring at her green halter top. More likely, what was just underneath. "Hey now!"
Jack snapped out of his daze. "I'm sorry. I just don't remember seeing that top before. It definitely shows off your, um, assets."
Sharon blushed. "Maybe I shouldn't have worn this tonight."
"No, no! I'm sorry. It's just that I... uh..." Jack stumbled over his words. She noticed this, and knew that he rarely did such a thing. "I just couldn't help myself. The perils of being a guy, right?"
"Oh, you're horrible!" She laughed. Just then, her phone rang from within her purse. She looked down, but decided not to check who it was. She was having fun and didn't want to be interrupted. As she looked toward her purse, she noticed some activity in Jack's pants. "Is he getting a hard on from looking at me?" She wondered. Her body betraying her, she felt a subtle warmth between her legs. Pretending to be cold, she put her jacket back on, but Jack was no fool.
"Trying to hide, missy?" Jack said.
Sharon said nothing, and sipped on her third and final coffee for the night.
"Okay, play coy if you want. That only makes things more enjoyable for me." he teased.
She noticed Jack had that familiar tone in his voice. Slightly panicked, she thought, "What was
that
supposed to mean? He knows nothing is going to happen tonight. He promised..."
Then, as if an electric shock went through her, she gasped out loud. Jack had placed his hand on her jean-clad thigh. With the sudden touch, she could feel her nipples harden.
"A little jumpy, are we? Maybe you had too much coffee." He joked.
"Maybe you shouldn't have your wandering hands all over me!" She scolded.
"TouchΓ©. I do have a promise to uphold, don't I?"
