I stroll over to the bar and fix myself a drink. I turn away from the bar and get a chance to really survey the room for the first time since we walked in. We really have not had a chance to do much of anything except be completely lost in each other since entering the room. Someone could have been in the corner watching the whole time and we probably would not have noticed.
The room is very plush right down to the engraved glasses at the bar and the stone balcony that opens up through double glass doors off the king size bedroom. The bed is made of wood and is very detailed in its crafting. It is a four post style with a flat portion connecting the four posts near the top. On the underside of the wooden flat portion are inlayed mirrors that help reflect the dwindling light from the west over toward the bar where I stand. I walk to the doors to the balcony, open both and walk out. Being on the 41st Floor, the highest in the hotel, makes it easy to feel comfortable in the open and in the nude with such little light left. I walk across the balcony to the stone railing and look out across the city. Everything below is beginning to disappear in a sea of lights.
Looking north, you can tell where the city ends and Lake Michigan begins by the line of lights that seem to stretch forever along the shore. There is a warm breeze blowing in off the lake this evening. I look down at all the buildings and the streets below. Everything is so far away. I certainly feel as if no one can see me. I feel very secluded and alone. I turn, walk back inside and close the doors behind me - smiling. Have I got something for you when we get back from the show tonight. I grab the phone and make a call to the front desk.
