Bobby was glad he was babysitting for April Miller Saturday night. He'd had wild sex every night that week and needed a break. Six months ago, if anyone had told him he'd be grateful to have a break from sex, he'd have told them they were crazy but, that was exactly how he felt now. A night without sex might not be such a bad thing.
He arrived at April's apartment about eight. April was five years older than Bobby, but she had already been married and was divorced, and had a young son. When she was younger, she used to baby sit for Bobby. Her son Ronny, who was four, liked Bobby and the young man felt the same way about the little guy.
April answered Bobby's knock on her apartment door and smiled at him. "Come in, Bobby," she said. "Ronny's in bed. We were shopping all afternoon and he got over-tired. It looks as if you'll have a quiet night."
"So what are you doing tonight?" Bobby asked.
April shrugged. "Not much," she said. "Ben's taking me out to eat and we may take in a movie or something, after, I guess." She smiled at him. "Just another exciting Saturday night. How come you aren't out on a date?"
Bobby felt his face get warm. "Ah...you know...I need to earn money for college and all and..." he stammered.
April smiled wryly. "Yeah, I sure do know about needing money," she said. "If Bobby's father would get on the stick and make his support payments, I'd be a lot happier, I'll tell you."
Bobby looked at his former babysitter. April was as tall as he was, maybe a tad taller. She was full-bodied, but not in the least fat. Her outfit consisted of an oversized tan sweater, which hung over paint-tight black stirrup pants. Judging from what Bobby could see - and the pants didn't hide much - she had an excellent figure. Her ass was particularly nice, he noticed, when she bent over to pick up a toy her son had dropped.
April's brown hair was nicely fixed and fell a little below her shoulders. Her face wasn't exactly pretty, but she had striking green eyes a very appealing smile. Her eyes were her best feature. Bobby had always found them fascinating. When he was younger, Bobby had a crush on her, but as he got older, he grew out of it.
April laughed softly and shook her head. "You know," she said, "it's strange, isn't it?"
"What's strange?" Bobby asked.
"You babysitting for me," April replied. "I mean, it doesn't seem all that long ago I was babysitting for you, you know?"
"Yeah," Bobby said. "I thought about that, too."
A horn sounded outside.
April picked up her purse. "Sounds like Ben," she said. "See you later, Bobby."
"Have a good time," he said as she walked out the door.
Bobby sat down, turned on the TV, and found a show he wanted to watch.
Three hours later he was watching a late movie when April came in and slammed the front door behind her.
"Damn him!" April said, tossing her purse on the kitchen table.
"What's the matter?" Bobby asked. He'd been half-asleep when April stormed in, but he was wide-awake now.
"Would you believe that jerk went and got himself arrested for drunk driving," April sniffled. She walked into the living room and plopped down on the sofa, across from the chair Bobby was sitting in. "I don't believe it!"
"Where is he?" Bobby asked.
"He's in jail, the jerk!" April retorted. "The cops brought me home."
"Sounds like your night out kinda sucked," the young man observed sympathetically.
"You sure as hell got that right!" April snorted. She looked at him and gave him a weak smile. "I sure as hell don't have much luck in the men I pick do I? Jeez, my husband was a real jerk so I dump him and wind up with a bigger jerk."
Bobby shrugged. "Maybe you just have to keep looking," he said. "I'm sure there's someone out there who isn't a jerk."
April took a deep breath. "Yeah, sure, but not for me," she said, sounding very sad.
"Come on, April, you have to think positive," Bobby said. He didn't like seeing April this upset, but he didn't exactly know what to say to make her feel better.
"Yeah, sure, think positive," April said.
"Come on, April," Bobby continued. "I know someone as good-looking as you are can find someone better than that Ben guy." He never understood why April went out with the guy. Bobby had met him a couple of times and thought he was a real loser.
"You got any ideas where I can look?" April asked.
Bobby wasn't sure how to answer, so he tried another track. "How about I make some hot chocolate for us?" he suggested.
"Yeah, I'd like that," April replied. She studied Bobby as he got off the sofa and headed for the kitchen. "He's grown into a pretty handsome guy," she thought. For some reason, she'd never noticed that before. To her, he'd always been the kid she used to baby sit for. He wasn't a kid any more, that was for sure.
