Alright, let's start with me. My name's Vlad, but my friends call me Vladik. I'm a decent guy--not exactly a gym rat, but not a twig either. I'm on the shorter side, which is why my friends joke, "All you gotta do is breathe near a pull-up bar, and you're good." I'm in my second year of university, and let's just skip the details about the city.
So, it's September 1st. The freshmen--or "first-years," as we call them--are moving into our dorm. Guys will get this right away, though I'm sure plenty of girls were scoping out the newbies too. And me, being a regular dude, I went to check out who got assigned to our floor.
"Dude, imagine we go downstairs and it's just a bunch of guys," I said.
"Ha-ha, yeah, and we're just standing there, looking at each other like, 'You seeing this?'"
"Nah, I'm sure there's gotta be at least a couple of hotties."
"Yeah, just don't fall in love, man. Keep it casual."
"Ha-ha, 'keep it casual'? Who even says that anymore?"
With banter and laughs like that, we headed down to the first floor where the freshmen were filling out paperwork. As we weaved through the crowd, we were scanning the room, checking out who was moving in, exchanging glances with each other. You know how it is--guys just get each other's looks. Some of the guys were already helping girls carry their bags upstairs. Let's be real, we all know they weren't doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. And then it happened. I was mid-glance with my buddy when, out of nowhere, this girl appeared right in front of me. She was shorter than me, and it was like she just materialized out of thin air. I bumped into her, and she fell. I stood there, watching her drop, lying on the floor, yelling at me for not watching where I was going, calling me names. But in that moment, the world just froze. I stared at her like an idiot, completely mesmerized by her beauty.
She was like the girl from my wildest dreams: slim legs, a perfect waist, just the right amount of curves for her height. Her face was soft, with full lips, a cute little nose, and these deep, endless eyes that radiated innocence. She was dressed simply--biker shorts and a fitted tank top--but she looked absolutely stunning.
Her voice snapped me out of my trance:
-- "Ugh, seriously? You could've at least offered to help! You just pushed me and stood there like an idiot. The people in this dorm are something else," she said, glaring at me.
I, finally snapping out of it, started mumbling:
-- "Sorry, I... I kinda spaced out. Let me help you with your bags?"
-- "Oh, wow, finally! No, thanks. Learn to watch where you're going," she snapped, pushing past me and heading for the stairs.
A guy nearby chimed in, shoving his bags into my hands:
-- "Hey, man, don't take it personally. She's just... intense. But hey, help me out instead." He added with a smirk, "Her ass is fire, though. Too bad she's my sister."
I stood there, not saying a word, watching her walk down the hallway.
-- "Ha-ha, what, you like her? Take the bags to room 914," the guy said, laughing.
