Lexi is as feminine as they come. Tan, playful, colorfully dressed, and drop-dead gorgeous, she naturally turns heads wherever she goes. Everyone wants to either be her or be with her. But she only has one best friend, whom she proudly boasts about to whoever will listen, and then eagerly annoys in private whenever she gets the chance.
Jennifer is everything that Lexi is not. Jenny has always been shy, introverted, and quiet as a mouse. She's not particularly socially anxious; she just often feels out of her depth around people, and naturally prefers to keep company with her cats at home.
Jenny is pale and plain-looking, a fact that annoys Lexi to no end. Jenny absolutely refuses to put on fake tan, or, lord forbid, go to a salon. Still, she loves her best friend and is always amenable to something a little less damaging, even if it is somewhat mortifying.
"Absolutely not!" Lexi gasps, throwing a hand to cover her gaping mouth as if the sheer sight of the mint green top might make her faint.
"Oh fine, fine." Jenny rolls her eyes, though she's not annoyed. It's the same song and dance whenever they're together, be it in a group or when they fly solo, they tease each other mercilessly. It's just how they are, and Jenny wouldn't have it any other way.
Jenny feels rather stumped. Barring dying her hair an exciting color like Lexi, or putting on pounds of makeup, she's not sure how she's supposed to stand out like the other girl. She's naturally rather plain-looking, short with straight black hair; nothing about her screams 'party girl' like it does with Lexi. They're out shopping now, trying to find something to wear to a party tomorrow evening, but nothing seems right for Lexi. Or rather, nothing Jenny tries on manages to make her look like anything other than a Victorian-era ghost.
"This is hopeless." Jenny moans. Even the mint green blouse can't bring any color to her cheeks. If anything, it just makes her look sickly. At some point, she may just have to capitulate and let Lexi give her some tanning supplies, but she'd rather exhaust her options before that point.
"Just let me dress you!" Lexi exclaims, grinning impishly as she bounces on the balls of her feet. Jenny sticks her tongue out at the girl before turning to her haphazardly stashed pile of clothes. The mall is all but deserted on a Thursday morning, and though they have the entire changing room to themselves, Lexi still insists on helping Jenny try on each piece personally.
Jenny supposes that she should feel lucky to have a personal stylist at her disposal, but right now she just feels defeated.
Jenny scrunches up her face, turning cautious eyes to the clothing Lexi has been keeping hidden behind her back. "What did you bring in, anyway?"
"Nothing~." Lexi sings back, but Jenny is having none of it. If anything, her denial just rouses her suspicions even further.
"Are you going to put me in something slutty?"
"No way!"
"Then show me."
Jenny swipes at Lexi, trying to steal the clothing from behind her back, but just barely misses and stumbles forward, falling into Lexi as she completely loses her balance.
"Wha-" she gasps, but luckily Lexi catches her easily.
Jenny glances up at Lexi, blinking slowly as she tries to get her bearings.
Lexi's state of shock wears off much quicker. She grins down at Jenny, who's about a head shorter than the other girl when she's wearing heels.
"If you wanted to do it here, you could have just asked."
"I didn't mean to!" But Jenny's pleas fall on deaf ears. When Lexi gets something in her head, it can be difficult to convince her otherwise. And right now, all she sees is her best friend coming on to her in public, never mind the fact that the clothes Lexi previously threw all over the floor are the true culprit, the reason why she tripped.
Lexi leans down and takes Jenny's lips into her own, practically swallowing her whole. Jenny is still thrown off balance, but the sudden kiss causes her head to spin even more. Lexi knows that her teasing can get out of hand, and she uses Jenny's shyness to her advantage; Jenny has never been particularly quick on her feet, today's fiasco being further evidence of that sad fact.
Jenny wrenches her head back from Lexi, face flushing a deep shade of red like it always does. Lexi smiles playfully down at Jenny, but there's something sultry and heavy in her gaze; it doesn't bode well for Jenny.
Jenny gulps, suddenly feeling her mouth go dry. "We can't! Not here." She whispers harshly, hoping that her best friend will see reason for once in her life.
Her hopes are immediately dashed when Lexi leans down to whisper in Jenny's ear. "So you're saying it would be fine somewhere else?"
"No- I mean technically yes, but what if we're caught?" She demands, hating the way that her friends' words elicit shivers down her spine. She hardly has control over her body's reactions, and her friend takes full advantage of this fact whenever she can.
"Nobody is here," Lexi practically purrs, now guiding Jenny's flushed body towards the mirror. They stumble forward, only stopping when Jenny feels her back hit the cool steel rim of the mirror they had been using for its true purpose just moments ago.
Lexi pins Jenny between her hands, trapping her in her embrace. She then leans down once more, and this time Jenny is ready for her. It still overwhelms her when she feels soft lips brush her own.
Lexi is anything but gentle when it comes to Jenny. So the kiss only remains chaste for a fraction of a second. After Lexi gives Jenny that allowance, she immediately dives in deeper.
Jenny's eyes go wide when she feels Lexi's tongue begin to dip into her mouth, exploring the slick warmth with expert movements. They've done this before, but it doesn't become any less embarrassing for Jenny.
