in a series of chapters about Melissa, a young woman who brings her boyfriend home after her third year in college to meet her family at their remote Eastern Oregon ranch and learns that while she has been away at college her father, Luke, and Mother, Lisa, have adopted a swinging lifestyle. Melissa and her boyfriend, Jamie have joined right in with her parents liberated style. It will be helpful to have read the prior chapters.
All characters in this story are over the age of 18.
Lisa and Melissa were up and into a pick-up headed for Boise early the next morning. It was clear Lisa was excited about their planned visit with the Rev. She was talking a blue streak as they drove up the road, and she was pushing the old pick-up way beyond the highway's posted limits, obviously in a hurry to get to Boise. Melissa, on the other hand, was feeling a little insecure or perhaps intimidated.
"Did you tell Dad where we were going?"
"Oh yeah. Late last night I sent him a message telling him we were going to dinner at the Rev's. It said, 'Since you and Jamie are frolicking with Gina and Sam, Melissa and I are going to Boise to have dinner with the Rev and Julia'."
"Did he respond?"
"He told me I was being very naughty. It also said, 'Have fun'."
"Are we being naughty?"
"I hope so." She paused for a moment. "You know, I don't think I've ever had dinner at the Rev's that didn't turn out to be very naughty. That's what's so much fun about it."
My Mother is beginning to scare me, Melissa thought. She sat in silence as the truck roared down the hill into the little town of Rome Station, Oregon, tearing on through and across the bridge over the Owyhee River at way over the 45 mile an hour speed limit.
"Did you ever notice that highway sign just as you get to the bottom of the hill coming into Rome that says 'Congestion'?" Melissa asked.
Lisa snorted. "Yeah isn't that a joke. I can't believe the state spent money on it. What congestion? All there is here is a bar on one side of the road and a parking lot next to it where the city folks floating down the Owyhee park their cars. The Eppersons have an old house and a loading chute and corral on the other side, but no one has lived in that old house for years. I don't think it even has glass in the windows anymore. The only congestion I ever saw here was one time Epperson's cows got loose and were all herded up over by the bar. I guess they wanted a beer," Lisa cackled. "Mrs. Epperson had her kids directing traffic while she and the guy that owns the bar tried to get the cows back across the road and into the corral where they belonged. I don't think they would have ever got it done if a state cop hadn't come along and taken over the traffic control so those two idiot boys of hers could chase the cows back where they belonged."
The road curves tightly on the other side of the bridge as it climbs the bluff next to the river. It was tight enough so that Lisa actually had to slow down for the hairpin curve and down shift the old truck to get up the hill. Once she got to the top she quickly got back into high gear and had the truck up to 85 again.
"Where's the fire Mom?" Melissa asked. "We don't have to be in Boise until dinner time. It won't take anywhere near that long to get there."
Lisa looked over at her daughter as she backed off on the speed. She laughed and said, "Yeah, you're right. I guess I'm just a little excited about tonight. Your Dad called me late last night and we talked about dinner at the Rev's"
"A little phone sex Mom?"
"No, he was worn out from screwing Gina. I guess they had quite an evening."
"Just Dad and Gina?"
"Oh no, it was all three of them, your brother Sam, your dad, and Jamie. Gina loves a good gang bang. You know, she's not really that creative in her sex. Just fucking and sucking with whatever gender is available and the more the merrier. She certainly does enjoy it though."
"So what did Dad say about us going to the Rev's? Did he object?"
"Oh far from it. That's not our deal you know. Actually we talked about how creative the Rev is and how different that is from sex with Gina."
Melissa, felt the knot in her stomach return. "Really? Creative? Creative how?" She was feeling a bit concerned about what her Mother was getting her into. But of course, she couldn't admit that to her Mother.
"Well that's the beauty of it," Lisa said, responding to Melissa's question about creativity. "There's a lot more to great sex that just fucking and sucking, darlin'. I mean, we all love a good climax, but the great part of sex, really good sex, is what is going on in your head, especially before you get started. Actually, when you think about it that way it's a little hard to define where sex starts."
"Really? How?"
"Oh you'll see tonight. I told the Rev we needed to broaden your horizons a bit."
Melissa felt the knot in her stomach tighten just a bit. "So tell me about the Rev?" Melissa asked. "Is he just a sex fiend or is he really a minister too?"
Lisa laughed. "The easiest answer to those questions is just, yes. Yes, he is a sex fiend, or at least I would say he seems to have an unlimited sex appetite and more importantly is very creative. Fiend is kind of harsh. I wouldn't use that term to describe him.
"And, yes, he really is a minister. He and his wife Julia, run a successful, unaffiliated church in Boise. He draws a good crowd because he never preaches hell fire and brimstone. People always leave the Rev's service feeling good about life and about God. Your Dad and I like to go to services there when we are in Boise. Plus, he tapes all his sermons and rebroadcasts them as a weekly podcast that has a national following. I guess that's where the real money comes from. Your dad says the Rev is doing quite well."
"And he preaches about sex--this business of separating love and sex?"
"Oh no. He never mentions any of that in his sermons. That's a whole different part of his and Julia's life. Like any minister he does a fair amount of one on one counseling with his flock and when he found that a lot of them were coming to him with problems with their sex life, he started telling about how he and Julia managed their own sex life. That's where the concept of separating love and sex came from. Those counseling sessions grew into the sex counseling business he and Julia run.
"They have a very 'hands on' style, if you know what I mean," Lisa said with a smirk. "They wind up having a lot of sex with the members of their flock and others that come to them with problems with their love life. And then there are the parties. They throw a few parties each year for friends and clients of the sex counseling business. My god those are the wildest orgies you can imagine."
"But I suppose we aren't going to hear his standard feel good sermon tonight, are we?" Melissa asked.
Lisa laughed. "No I'm pretty sure we won't hear that, Darl'n. I honestly don't know what he'll come up with, but I've never been disappointed yet. I always 'feel good' during and after a visit to the Rev's for dinner. Oh but one thing that might give us a hint. He told me we needed to come dressed like trashy soccer moms."
"What does a trashy soccer mom look like?" Melissa asked.
