Early April
Year 3 of Us
Friday
I had just opened the shed doors when Cathy came outside and joined me. "What's up, Wyatt?"
I smiled at her as I looked her over. She was wearing jeans, boots, and a coat. "I'm going to check the perimeter fencing."
"Can I come along?"
"Are you sure? It could get dirty, and wet."
"Will it?" She asked.
"Will it what?"
"Get wet and dirty."
I looked at her and she had a big grin on her face. She turned to look up at the lower deck and when I did the same thing, I saw Lacey standing there holding the kids, with a big grin on her face, too. "Go ahead! You two can play, if you want, but that's all!"
"I have this sneaking suspicion that my sweetheart has something up her sleeve."
I looked at Cathy, who shrugged. "Don't ask me."
I shrugged in return, "Okay." I pointed at a bag of tools. "Grab those and come inside." I pointed to the ATV and gestured at the rear of it, which already had fence wire and wooden posts in it. She climbed in and I drove the ATV outside.
We made it to the far end of our property without having to make any repairs, which was a surprise. "How much wildlife is around here?"
"Big stuff? Deer, coyotes. I've seen signs of mountain lions and bears. We have turkeys and probably thousands of other birds. Why?"
"I noticed the rifle." She grinned. "It's hard to miss, being right beside you."
"It's an... insurance policy."
"Ah." I made the turn back towards the house, keeping my eye on the fence, looking for breaks. "Would you like to kiss me?" she asked softly.
"What?" I hit the brakes on the ATV.
She looked at me, with a shy smile on her face. "I asked, would you like to kiss me?"
"That's what I thought." I looked at her. "We've kissed since Lacey and I got back from the inn."
"Little kisses. Even before we went to bed these past few days. I want a deep kiss. A long one."
I looked at her for a few moments, then I nodded. "Get out and come around over here." I stepped out of the ATV and waited for her.
"Why did you want me out here?"
"It's too cramped in there for a good kiss."
She tilted her head and looked at me. "How do you know that?" I just smiled at her, and she grinned. "Aha!"
"Before we do this, turn, smile, and wave towards the house."
"Why?"
"In case my other sweetheart is spying on us." She made the turn and waved, giggling. She had a cute giggle, so I smiled and waved, too.
I took her into my arms, and she looked at me. I bent forward and we kissed, gently at first, then she put a hand behind my head and held me tightly as she forced her tongue into my mouth. We played for a few minutes, before she released my head and stared at me, breathing very quickly.
"Wow." She took a breath. "Lacey was right."
"Oh?"
"Yeah. She said that when you kiss someone, you give that kiss all of your attention. That was that kind of a kiss."
"I'm glad you liked it. I know that I enjoyed it."
She smiled. "I think we should finish the fence check," she said, before backing out of my arms and walking back to the other side of the ATV.
It took about two hours to check the fencing amongst the trees along the western side of our property, including making two repairs. The afternoon was half over by the time we got back to the house. Cathy opened the shed doors, and I pulled the ATV inside. After I put the tool bag away, she took my hand as we went into the basement. I was surprised, but I didn't react.
"Damn."
"What's wrong, Cathy?"
"I just lost a little bet with Lacey."
"A bet?"
She laughed. "Yeah. She said that if I took your hand, you wouldn't react. I figured you would."
I laughed, too. "What was the wager?"
She looked at me, then grinned. "You get to eat the pussy of whoever won, first, tomorrow night."
After dinner, Lacey was sitting with Cathy on the couch in the living room, while I was finishing the dishes. I could hear them giggling over something, and I just smiled. I figured that Lacey was holding Samantha and Cathy had Duncan in her arms.
I set the dishwasher, wiped my hands dry, and walked into the living room. They both looked at me, smiles on their faces. I was right on who was holding which baby, too, so I grinned.
"What's the grin about?"
"I just guessed who was holding which baby, and I was right, is all, beloved." I noticed that Lacey's blouse was open slightly. "So, they got their mommy milk dessert?"
Cathy blushed slightly and Lacey giggled. "Yes, they did." Lacey slid closer to Cathy, and I sat down beside Lacey.
I looked at our daughter, smiling gently as I softly touched her head, feeling the softness of her blonde hair. She turned her head slightly, and Lacey smiled at her, too. I looked over at Cathy. "You know, none of my family keeps the blonde hair after about six or seven years old."
"None of my family was ever blonde, that I know of." Lacey smiled at me and when I leaned in, she gave my cheek a quick kiss.
My smile got even bigger, and I saw Cathy get a really big smile on her face, too.
"You're right, Lacey. He really loves you. I can tell by how he reacts when you smile at him." Lacey giggled softly, holding Samantha gently. "Oh! He *does* blush! You're right about that, too!"
