CARLY REFLECTS ON THE DAY
After relaxing in a hot bath, Carly slipped on a pair of cut-offs and a T-shirt before walking outside to the pool area. She locked the fence gate and stretched out on a lounge chair by the pool. This time of evening was so peaceful. It was when she liked to think about things, and this evening there was a lot to think about.
Living in the city, as a divorced teacher, can be difficult - and very lonely. When she split up with her husband, she thought it would be the beginning of the ideal life - free to do what she wanted and see who she wanted.
Carly had always been a very sexual person. She loved exploring the human body; hers, as well as anyone else that she found interesting. She'd experimented with girls for a time but decided men are far more fun, physically and emotionally. And she now has perfected the ability to wrap most men around her finger, a talent of which she was very much aware.
Life can get messy, so it's easier to go through it as free from burdens as possible. At least that's how she chose to see it. For now, her philosophy was working just fine, and she was milking it for all it's worth.
A ready and willing playmate was a necessity in Carly's way of thinking. With the whole summer awaiting her, she felt she'd found that playmate while here at Granny's in Jake.
At the thought of Jake, she paused, first to think about how the events of the day had unfolded, and then her thoughts turned somber.
Somber is one word never used to describe Carly, but even she had to pause to ponder the potential ramifications today might have set in motion. Jake is a sweet guy who knows how to please a woman. He knows what he wants and he takes it.
But what about Ann? How does today affect her? Do they love each other? Is Ann overly possessive? She certainly doesn't take care of his sexual needs adequately, or he wouldn't have been so uninhibited today. Does she know how to keep him satisfied? Or does she not care? Maybe she gets what she needs somewhere else? That would be interesting to find out.
Still, all this affected her. She didn't want to be a homewrecker, although she had a large sexual appetite that needed to be nurtured. She wasn't about to let Jake go so easily; at least not until the end of summer, when she went back to the city. Then all bets would be off and he'd have to understand.
What about Granny? Will she be gone with friends often enough to give her adequate time with Jake? She didn't relish the idea of a motel, but if that's what it took, she was no stranger to an afternoon delight at the No Tell Motel. Granny's house offered much more freedom and potential, though. She expected it would probably work better for Jake, too.
