Brandi confides in Christina to gain her confidence
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Friday morning, March 15th
Christina was waiting on the sidewalk in front of her gym. She was there early, having gotten the kids dropped off at school faster than usual. Friday's were always the worst, the end of the week making it progressively harder to get them up. For whatever reason, they were self sufficient Monday through Thursday, getting ready all on their own. Come Friday, it was a challenge for them to get dress and eat and still make it out of the house on time. Being fifteen minutes ahead of schedule was unheard of.
She heard the car downshift as it entered the parking lot, the brilliant royal blue sparkling in the morning sun. The tires squealed as it turned the corner on the fresh blacktop, before it came to a hard stop in front of her.
Brandi already had the top down on her almost new 2018 BMW 420i convertible. The shiny blue color was nearly as brilliant as her eyes. Christina expected the car to be in convertible mode, the two of them having spent the better part of the last two days cruising around Orange County together in it.
Brandi's long, luxurious hair somehow looked even more incredible, as if the whipping winds from driving styled it perfectly. If ever there was a California girl, Brandi fit the description. The Beach Boys literally wrote a song about the type, although Brandi was more in the mold of the David Lee Roth cover version; especially if he were shooting a new video for it.
Christina felt herself drawn to the charismatic buxom blonde. It was hard to believe she already thought of her as a friend, mostly because of the unusual circumstances. They'd literally only known each other for a few days, and the reason they were together at all was forced at best. Yet she felt a connection with Brandi. One that was real and full of electricity. Sure, it was obvious the magnetism was created by sex; the two bonded easily over the subject, and the various acts themselves. Yet even without that commonality, Christina honestly believed they would be friends under more normal conditions. It just wouldn't be nearly itwas much fun.
The two had shared a great deal in their time together. Not just the naughty adventure Brandi was taking her on, mentoring her along the way. They shared personal stories and details that brought them closer.
Christina learned about Brandi's job, and how she got it. She learned of the unique perks that came along with it, including the car. She'd been told about the autonomy that came with the position; how she could come and go as she pleased between locations. But she also explained how she was on call for her sexual talents, and how that sometimes included after normal business hours.
Christina didn't judge because Brandi raved about how she was treated. On the surface it might appear that she was in a role of a paid escort on retainer. In reality, Brandi reasoned that as highly sexed as she was, she would have been doing something similar in her free time anyway, so she might as well benefit from the financial security that came from her singular job description.
The explanation of why she wore the huge diamond on her finger actually made some sense. But Brandi shared something that she'd not shared with anyone else in her current circle of friends and work associates. Not even Gerard knew. That she shared it with Christina late on Wednesday... the first day they went out alone together, spoke of volumes of their kindred spirit.

Wednesday afternoon, March 13th
"So, you're
married?
" Christina asked, unsure if she was getting the entire picture clear in her head.
"Technically, yeah," she nodded.
Christina could see the sense of relief on Brandi's face as they drove down the 405 on their way to a gym in Newport Beach. The two loads of cum dripping on her own face became an afterthought as she tried to process what amounted to a confession.
"
Really
married!?"
"According to the state of California, yeah. We've been together thirteen years, and we filled out some paperwork. We even file our taxes jointly. We just never got in front of a judge or minister or anything. It qualifies as a common law marriage. And we both feel like we are. We're soulmates."
"I'm still confused."
"That's because it's confusing; sometimes even to me. Look, we met our freshman year at UC-Santa Barbara. We moved in together our sophomore year. We've been together ever since."
"But you're not... together."
"Well, we wouldn't qualify as inseparable, I'll grant you that," she laughed.
"So, you're married..."
"Like I said, technically... yes."
"But you and..."
"Scott."
"Okay, so you and Scott are married, but
you
pretend not to be, and that leads to you pretending now that you are. Do I have that right?"
"Yeah. I know. It sounds crazy when you say it out loud like that."
"Well why? I don't understand the reason."
"Well, I need to explain our relationship first. Like I said, Scott and I are soulmates. I can't imagine not having him in my life. But we're different. I mean, as a couple we're not normal. That didn't come out right."
"Take your time, Brandi. I'm just curious... you don't even have to tell me anything else if you don't want to."
"No. I don't mind. It's actually a bit of a relief to get this off my chest. I feel like I've been living this big lie because I can't tell anyone about it. What would Gerard think if he knew?"
"I don't understand."
"I know. Let me try to explain. Scott and I aren't like other couples. At this point in our relationship we're more like what you and Alex are trying to be... at least in a couple of ways."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I'll circle back to it. So, Scott and I lived together in college, and then for a couple of years after. From outward appearances, we were like a real couple. But there were some things we didn't connect on."
"I'm gonna guess that sex is one of them."
