Day 1 and 2 - Things become more complicated.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Friday night, May 17th -- DAY 1
The sound of the doorbell made Alex do a double-take. It was unusual, especially for so late on a Friday night. It was more unusual because they lived in a gated community, which meant that it was one of his neighbors at the door.
Walking through the house with a beer in hand, the bell chimed a second time and he picked up the pace. It was eleven-thirty and the kids were finally asleep.
He'd let them stay up late watching an action/adventure movie with him. He'd done dad parenting right, throwing blankets on the floor before creating a couch fort out of cushion, pillows and an old sheet. He started a fire, even though it was a warm night. Holed up inside the fort, they had popcorn and smores while watching the film. Once it finished, it was teeth brushed and off to bed.
He spent the next twenty minutes straightening up the huge living room, nursing his bottle of Foster's along the way. He decided to just let the fire die down on it's on, concentrating instead on putting the room back in order. He was just coming back downstairs after checking to make sure the kids were asleep when the doorbell rang.
Unlocking the deadbolt and the chain, he opened the door without checking the peephole. One of the many benefits of living in a secured neighborhood was that they did not have to worry about solicitors showing up at the door. It had to be someone he knew. But this was late, and he worried that someone was in need of help.
"Maggie?" he asked, wondering why his secretary was standing on his large front stoop. Not to mention how the hell she'd gotten past the security gate.
She had her phone to her ear, and she put her finger to her lips to let him know to be quiet.
"Okay, I got it. Hold on a second." Handing her phone to Alex, she said, "It's for you."
Not thinking, he took the phone. "What do you mean it's for me? Hello?"
"Alexander?"
"Christina? What's going on? I thought you weren't supposed to talk to me this weekend."
"I told you that you couldn't call me. And I told you that I wasn't going to call you. I didn't."
"So, you call
Maggie
?"
"Uh, no. She called me."
"Why would she call you?"
"Because I fucked up. I fucked up big time."
"Wait. You what? What are you talking about?"
"I accidentally sent her a text. She knows, Alexander."
"She knows what? What do you mean you sent --"
"Stop talking and listen very carefully. Do you understand?"
He could tell by her tone she meant business, and he reacted like she was standing in front of her. "Yes ma'am."
His response made Maggie's eyebrow arch; a sly smirk appearing on her face.
Christina swallowed hard. "I fucked up Alexander. I forgot that Maggie was the last one that I texted today. I've been so focused on me and what I've been through tonight that I forgot to check."
"What are you saying?"
"I sent her a picture, Alex. I sent her a picture that was
meant for you
. Do you understand now?"
"Oh.
Ooohhhhh!
" he said quietly, his mouth opening wide. He looked at Maggie, whose smirk grew larger. "What was it?"
"Apparently she's going to show you. At least that's what she told me, so we have to come clean."
"What!?"
"You don't have a choice. I'm telling you what we're going to do about this. I'm sorry I was that careless, but the pussy's out of the bag now," she said, trying to find humor in what was a humiliating situation for her husband.
"This isn't funny, Christina."
"It is when you think about it. Regardless, that's where we are now. I'm not changing my plans for the weekend. I'm not even going to think about this once I hang up the phone. It's already put me in a position where I'm going to be punished for interrupting my time with my bull. He's pissed. So, I want you to answer whatever questions Maggie has. I want you to be completely truthful. Once you've done that, I'll tell you what I want you to do next. Understand?"
"No. I don't. This is unacceptable."
"That's irrelevant at this point. You've said it a thousand times in your work. The facts are the facts. Ignoring them doesn't make them go away. I expect you to do as you're told."
He knew not to cross her. The image of her reddened ass from the picture earlier in the day was a stark reminder. While they didn't profess to practice Femdom in their relationship, it had evolved somewhat into that the last month, at least as far as discipline was concerned. He'd literally been whipped with a belt twice for being disobedient. And that was on top of other types of physical punishment he'd been subjected to. He found it as erotic as he did painful, but he wasn't about to test her again.
Nodding even though she wasn't there, he said, "Yes ma'am."
"Good boy. Now hand the phone back to Maggie."
"Hello?"
"Are we good?" Christina wondered.
"We'll see. I'll call you once I'm convinced."
"Gerard says you have a half-hour to call me back. After that you'll have to leave a message because I'm going to be busy. And by busy, I mean I'm going to be paying for dragging you into this."
"Sorry to hear that. I'll try to get back with you shortly."
She hung up the phone and walked brazenly inside, past a very nervous Alex. Making her way toward the light, she navigated the dark hallway toward the back of the house. She turned left, ignoring the living room, instead heading for the huge open kitchen. She found the refrigerator and opened it. Twisting the cap off a Fosters of her own, she sat down at a barstool and turned toward her boss, sexily crossing her legs.
"So,
this
is Laguna Beach. Nice," she said as she looked around the spacious home.
"We're
near
Laguna... nevermind." Correcting her to state the exact community they lived in was irrelevant. Christina always told people Laguna Beach to make it easy. And obviously Maggie found the house, so it didn't matter. What did was the fact that she was there at all. Alex stood in the middle of the great room, the vaulted ceiling making it even larger. "I can't believe this is happening," he thought to himself, unsure of what to say.
She knew he was nervous, and she didn't want him to be. Still, she was naturally curious. Flipping on her phone, she opened the text she'd received, looking at it carefully. Her smile caught his attention. She looked up to a huge family photo above the mantle of the fireplace, comparing it to what was on her phone.
