No one knew how long it had been since the initial outbreak. No one really cared anymore either. How many years had passed by? It just got hot and then cold and rained in between. For awhile, people were able to keep track of the days and months until phones went out and the calendars ran out of months. They all knew it had been at least a year, but after that people just stopped counting. What was the point anymore? Time no longer mattered. The only thing that mattered was survival. The sun came up and those that remained fought another day and those that raped and killed and pillaged continued their reign of terror.
There were two kinds of people now. The living and the dead. The dead ate and fucked without mercy or feeling. The living did the same. Were they so different now? Or were the dead just more honest with how people really, truly were at their most basic instinct? Eating, sleeping, reproducing. Those are all the most basic human instincts. Take away the sleeping and you have the undead. They didn't sleep, but instead they stood still under the sun while the fungus inside of them absorbed the rays. The body was kept in decent shape by eating meat or people. It didn't matter as long as the body had something to convert into energy and if there wasn't anything around then the fungus gave off its own energy to keep its host alive. A twisted, fucked up kind of symbiotic relationship.
How did the living survive? Those that somehow made it through the first few weeks and lived on? By either being smart or brave. Small communities popped up around what was left of the world and all took on trading as a form of pay. Money was worthless and the only thing worth trading was food, supplies, or water. After awhile, women became a rarity since most became infected and fled to who knows where. People set out to try and find their wives, mothers, and daughters, but none ever came back. Most didn't even know where to look. They just took off after their loved ones as they rose up from the dead and took off in a full sprint in a general location.
Because there was no longer any form of law or consequence, raiding groups were formed and they terrorized any small communities and lone travelers. That's just the way life was now. Survive or join the undead.

~Bonnie and Clyde~
Kate and Max survived that fateful night that changed both of their lives. Whether it was destiny or luck, they were among the very, very select few that had a rare antibody that the fungus didn't like or take too kindly to. They weren't scientists and any that were still alive didn't bother revealing that fact, so no one truly knew why those that were bitten or raped didn't get turned. And most that soon discovered they were immune were either killed out of jealousy (or torn to shreds by a horde of hungry zombies) or they mysteriously disappeared. Rumors were that there was a rogue scientist that had survived the "Reset Day", as some called the first day the outbreak occurred, and he was busy working on a cure. A cure no one cared about because most of the population was reduced to a bunch stumbling zombies.
Kate and Max never forgot that night that Bob attacked Kate. Soon after, Kate and Max made the most passionate love with each other to share in the curse that wiped out most of the world. The next morning the two were surprised to find each other both alive and healthy. Bob remained dead and the horde had grown twice in size and had fully surrounded the store. The window had shattered through the night and the zombie's bodies were now forced up against the metal gate. Their cocks poked through the holes in the gate and oozed their glowing cum all over the metal and floors as they moaned and groaned.
The two slept like babies after their tumble in the sack and laughed at what had happened, but they never forgot. They took up the nicknames Bonnie and Clyde so no one would know who they were as they robbed and stole from other survivors. Max made their names more famous when he used Kate as bait to lure in horny men that needed a good time. Whether or not Kate actually slept with them was up to her, but after she gave the signal, Max kicked open the door with a shotgun in hand and either killed the man or took all of his stuff. Either way, they'd flee and repeat.
"Hey Bonnie!" Max chuckled to himself as he said Bonnie. "We got ourselves another sucker!!"
Max lowered his scoped rifle and looked down from a tree he had climbed and taken position in to watch a famous road that everyone traveled down. Kate looked over in Max's direction and winked at him before taking her place by the side of the road. Max slid down the tree and leaned up against the cabin, his rifle sitting comfortably at his side.
A lone man saw Kate standing by the side of the road and as she turned around to head back to the cabin, he followed. Once he got to the cabin he greeted the two.
"I saw the signs down the road talking about a uh, 'good time'? Said to look for a cabin with a yellow door. That right there, is a yellow door. So what's the deal here?" The man was no stranger to rip offs and always cautious. He held his pistol tightly in his hand while carefully eyeing both Max and Kate.
"Well I'm glad you asked! You see my wife and I are in need of some food and water if you have any. We're willing to trade for it. Our trade being my wife standing right here," Max waved his hand in a voila motion. Kate curtsied in a cute white with blue striped dress she had found during a mall run they had done.
The man eyed Kate up and down before a small grin appeared on his face, "So you mean to tell me that for a little food and some water I get to fuck your wife? You sure you're ok with that bud?"
Max's eyes narrowed as he stared at the grisly looking man. The man wore a torn suit jacket with a bloody white dress shirt and ripped black slacks that were torn at the knees to make them into shorts; no thanks to the heat a few months back. He had to be late 40's or early 50's, but it was hard to tell ages nowadays. Everyone always looked tired and run down.
"Yes, that's what I'm saying. We aren't about to starve here and if I got something that no one's seen in a long time, then I'd say that's a hell of a deal. What's your name?" Max asked after crossing his arms when the man loosened his grip on his pistol seeing as the two meant real business.
"I see. Well if you ask me, that's a little slice of heaven and I ain't about to say no. I do have a little bit to spare and if she's good, I'll part with a lot more than that. Been a long time since I've been with a woman. All you see nowadays is those damned zombies with their pricks swinging around. Gets old you know? My name's Gaven. And yours is?" The man reached out a rough hand to shake Max's hand.
"Nice to meet you, Gaven. My name's Clyde and this here is Bonnie," Max replied as he shook Gaven's hand.
Gaven laughed. "Bonnie and Clyde huh? Don't suppose that's your real name's, but who cares nowadays. Don't think you're gonna rob me or nothing. I will be alone in there with your wife after all so that's a big risk bud."
"Oh we know. Same goes for you. I'll be right outside this door so if I hear any funny business someone's getting shot. Got it? This is a fair trade," Max replied as he tapped his shotgun that rested across his back.
Gaven stared at Max for a minute before agreeing and opening up his backpack. "How's two cans of peaches and 3 water bottles sound?"
"4 water bottles and you have a deal. Fair is fair. Two for her and two for me. A can each and its even," Max replied.
Gaven quickly agreed and set the cans and bottles on the table next to Max.
"Alright. A deals a deal. Bonnie go ahead and lead our kind stranger into the cabin. I'll be right outside Incase you need me."
Kate bowed in front of Gaven and took his hand leading him inside of the cabin. Max shut the door behind them and leaned against the wall taking out his lighter that he bought from Bob and flicked it open. He lit a cigarette and gave a big puff before sighing and smirking to himself.
