More story than sex this time. I hope you enjoy!!

Vietnam, 1973, deep in an undisclosed jungle. The rain was coming down hard and the 5-man patrol was being led by a scout, an unorthodox guide that the unit had been assigned to. Their objective was to eliminate a very elusive VC General who had been causing havoc in the region and was responsible for a lot of dead and wounded American soldiers.

"Hold fast, Captain, bunker is up ahead," said the woman.

"I don't see it," he replied.

"30 meters, see the broken branch on that tree, look 5 meters southwest of it."

"How in the fuck you spotted that. I know, I know, you have gifts. Have they seen us?"

"No. There are tripwires all around the flank and a very complex path in. Have Jackson fire one round exactly where I put my laser then follow my exact path. Once inside, I'll move ahead and disable the other booby traps then once you see me come back to the entrance, move in and kill anything behind me."

"Squad, acknowledge," the Captain said into his mic. They responded with a double click.

Cathy got in position and put her laser on the sentry's head. Jackson's shot from his suppressed M70 sniper rifle was right on target. Cathy moved quickly but deliberately, making sure she moved between the tripwires and mines that littered the approach. They moved inside silently and staged at the entrance of a tunnel network.

"This won't take long. I will disarm everything, remember what I said, kill everything behind me as soon as I'm back at this spot. The General is here," said Cathy.

The men readied their close quarter weapons and waited as Cathy vanished down the tunnel. It took her less than a minute, she came back running with a handful of grenades and explosives. She put them down as the men moved their way into the tunnels. The team was well practiced, they moved through the tunnels with haste, taking the enemy by surprise and were soon standing over the body of their target.

"Get the picture, take his belt too. Check that desk for intel then bug out," said the Captain.

They got to their safe distance and called in the airstrike. The men took up position as Cathy checked for further danger ahead.

"Baker Mike Six, Baker Mike Six, this is Demon 4, come in," said the Captain on the radio.

"I have you, Demon 4, send grid, over," replied the plane.

"Hard strike, grid 742 934, I'll pop the lid but this one's deep. We're clear of radius."

"Copy, 742 934, hold your ears gentleman, couple of bunker killers heading your way. Go ahead and pop your fireworks, these new ones are badass. Sending."

"Hit it Conners," said the Captain.

Conners hit the remote on the explosives they'd planted to blow the roof off the bunker, seconds later, 2 heavy bombs hit exactly where they're requested. The ground shook and the tunnels and all the hidden entrances blew out in plumes of fire.

"Out-standing hit, Baker Mike, Demon 4 out," said the Captain.

"Our retreat is clear, it won't stay that way long," said Cathy.

"You heard her, bug out," said the Captain.

Two hours later, back at base and showered, the Captain took a cold bottle of water to Cathy who was studying a map.

"I just got told I have one more week in the rear and then I get to ship back home. This is my 3rd tour, the first and only where I haven't lost a single man. You said you'd tell me how when we're done in combat but I wouldn't tell anyone, why is that, Ma'am?" said Cathy.

"I can tell you now. Your last mission earned you a week away from the front. You're going to get a medal for your heroic actions and for leading your men but you won't remember me. The Captain who replaces you will have a similar tour, none of my men will get a scratch while I lead as scout," she said coldly.

"I don't mean to come across as ungrateful, Ma'am. You are a gift and I can never thank you enough for seeing me and my men through this hell."

"Thank me by living a good life, Captain. Raise your son Martin to see the good in this world, your daughter Lucy to love her family as your wife loves you all."

"I can do that, Ma'am."

"You wanted to know. I'm not human anymore, Captain. I was a long time ago but that woman is gone. I have seen death and pain on 4 continents, I saw the needless deaths of American soldiers and decided I would help. I won't kill for your war. I know you have seen me kill some really bad men but I don't kill as a soldier."

"I've heard of your kind, Ma'am, I know what you do. I respect who you are."

"Then you know why I can't exist in your memory."

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Goodbye Captain, you will forget I was ever here."

Cathy hypnotized the man to forget her then watched as he walked back to his tent. The new Captain was due to arrive the next morning and she would be introduced to him by a man known to be CIA but only there to put Cathy to work. She slept until the man arrived.

"Well, Shit, I got me a CIA rotation, now I know I'm really fucked," laughed the man.

The new Captain was a big man. 6 feet 4" and built like a linebacker. He was loud but his reputation of being able to get his job done, no matter how tough, earned him a spot in Cathy's squad.

"Sit down please, Captain. I'd like to introduce your lead scout. Your men will attest to her abilities as will her record, 43 missions and not one casualty. She will guide, she will see things you won't and you will return unscathed. We are a precision team, high level assassinations, dangerous hostage rescues, you won't be doing any basic patrols here," said the agent.

"This is a joke right, haze the new guy, some 100lb little blonde is going to keep me safe?" replied the Captain.

"Would you like a demonstration of my capabilities, Captain? Don't let my stature deceive you," said Cathy.

"A fucking limey too? Okay this is bullshit, where's the real briefing," he said, standing up.

"Sit the fuck down, Captain. I was told by your commander that you were a man I could rely on. I have 3 hostages that are running out of time and you will bring them back alive. They're deep in a place I don't even send my scout snipers but if I tell you Cathy will get you in and back without a scratch, you better damn well believe me," said the man in the shadows.

"Sorry Colonel, I didn't see you there, Sir," replied the Captain.

"I know this is a little different than you're used to, Captain but trust me, I want you to leave this horrible place in one piece. We are going deep into Cambodia. We will not have air support until we bring the hostages back over the border. Are you sufficiently rested?" asked Cathy.

"Yes, Ma'am. I was told I'll be hitting the ground running."

"Then gear up, 14 hour mission, your team is waiting."

The Captain left quietly and went to gather his gear.

"Are you sure it will only take 14 hours?" asked the Colonel.

"Beyond that I'm recovering bodies, Jack. I'll get them close then extract them myself. I've looked over that area beyond the red zone, if I don't do that part alone, my men will die," replied Cathy.

"The Code?"

"They slaughtered 15 women then hung all the men in that village that were hiding them, all of them have blood on their hands."

"What do you want, airstrike or artillery?"

"Artillery but I'm going to have them call it on themselves. They're too deep to make it look accidental from you."

"Good luck, Mistress, I'll be waiting for you."

"Thank you, Jack, I won't disappoint you."

"Bird's ready to go, Ma'am," said a soldier.

The helicopter dropped the team close to the border then flew away, Cathy had briefed the men on the way there and they quickly got into position when they got into the jungle.

"Ma'am, I didn't mean any disrespect when we first met. My men said you're legit, I've served with 2 of them before and if they are good, so am I," said the Captain.

"I just need you to trust what I tell you Captain Pike. I promise we will return home. Stay close, we're clear for now but no noise and we move fast, watch for my signals."

Cathy led them through the dense jungle. The terrain was tough and the men were tired by the time they stopped.

"I will move ahead on my own, set up a perimeter, I'll come in through that clearing only," said Cathy.

Cathy disappeared into the jungle as the men set up. The Captain was a little concerned.

"She's going alone, what is this, Jacobs?" he asked.

"Trust me, Sir, when she says 'put a bullet into that tree line, 4th leaf from the left' or hold fast, you do what she says and we make it home without a scratch. Jackson will tell ya, we seen some shit but not once has she fucked us over," replied Jackson.

Cathy froze as she approached the compound. She could sense she wasn't alone.

"I knew I was tracking a hunter but I didn't know it would be a woman I loved," said the woman.

"M... Marie?" replied Cathy.

The women embraced then got out of sight again.

"Why are you here, Catherine, this is not your usual pastime in war," she asked.

"These men are all killers, I'm here to rescue the hostages. And it's Cathy, now."

"Then I will help you. Sweep left, I'll take right. How many do you need alive to feed?"

"Three but make sure one of them is the radio op, I need him to clear any trace of us."

"Using my old methods, I like it."

"We move now, they're going to kill them."

None of the enemy knew what hit them. The hostages watched as their captors all fell to their knees, clutching at their ripped-out throats as blood sprayed in front of them. Both women moved faster than any of the enemy could see and were dead before they hit the ground.

"Do what you must, I'll get these clear. Meet me at the clearing?" said Marie.

"Yes," replied Cathy.

Cathy fed on two of the men and had the last one call in an artillery strike on the base, telling them they were leaving. The shells decimated the entire compound but Cathy and Marie were already long gone. The hostages, 2 men and one woman were weak and badly beaten but they made it close to the extraction with a little help.

"These men don't know I'm here, they may shoot me. I'm going to stay near that big airbase in the south, find me," said Marie.

"I'll come to you when I'm done," replied Cathy.

"Catherine, come to me when these hostages are safe. This is not your war."

"It's Cathy. I made these men a promise that I intend to keep."

"Okay, don't take long. Where is Victoria, Cathy?"

Catherine gazed into her lover's eyes then slowly kissed her way down her body. She knew how she liked to be enjoyed and she slipped her tongue between Victoria's labia. She enjoyed her gasps of pleasure as she licked, savoring her juices as they flowed over her tongue and down her throat. The women enjoyed each other for hours, licking, teasing and rubbing each other to orgasm until they were sated.

"I love you, Catherine. You have made my life complete, brought joy to little corners of my mind I thought would never see light again," said Victoria as she stroked Catherine's hair.

"I love you too, Mistress. Every day at your side is a gift I will always be thankful for," replied Catherine.

"Well, shall we rejoin the other nurses? That soldier you seduced told me the Germans were staging a counterattack. I've found a good place for the hospital too."

"The church we passed?"

"Yes, I will have them bring the wounded when they start the next push or if the Germans attack again."

It was late July, 1944 and the women were helping in the various hospitals, far from the fighting but close enough to help. They kept their powers discreet until they were confident they were safe but never stayed in any one place long enough to really be noticed. They had taken a morning to make love, to celebrate their love for each other.

"They're bringing in more men, Captain, we need more beds," said Victoria to the Captain in charge, it was a few hours into the attack.

"I have a few men going house to house, seeing what we can find. Are you okay, you've been here for a long time," he replied.

"We are fine, Captain, we were fortunate to get plenty of rest before this. Catherine, help that man, he's in a lot of pain," said Victoria.

"Easy, I have you Sergeant, you need to rest," said Catherine, helping the man lay down again.

"I have to get back to my men, they need me," said the man.

"They need their Sergeant in one piece, if you go back now this will get infected and I'll cut it off myself. Rest now, Sergeant."

"Yes, Nurse."

Eventually the stream of wounded men slowed down and the Doctors and Nurses were able to sit down.

"Now that the advance has slowed, I'd like to get the more seriously wounded that we can move, evacuated to the medical ship. Nurse Victoria, if you can help me decide the order we take them?" said the Captain.

"Of course, Captain. Catherine, go and find our driver, tell him to bring the truck to the south entrance," said Victoria.

Catherine looked in the motor pool where he was supposed to be but he had moved. She heard the distant drone of planes then the anti-air guns began to fire. The noise was deafening, one cannon had opened fire right next to her and her ears were ringing. When the bombs started to hit, she looked for cover, trying to see where she'd be safe. The attack was over as quick as it had begun but Catherine felt it before she saw the church in flames.

She moved as quick as she could, a blur to the human eye. She ignored the flames and found a way to the basement through the crumbling building. The Captain was laying on top of her, he had tried to shield her from the debris but he couldn't have saved her. Catherine screamed when she saw it.

"D... Don't move it. I don't have much time, Catherine, you can't save m... Me," stammered Victoria.

"No, Mistress, feed from me, please. You are strong, you can heal," replied Catherine, sobbing.

"It pierced my heart, Catherine. It's only my age keeping me here but I'm fading."

"No, Mistress, I cannot live without you, I will not."

A large wooden beam had splintered in the explosion from the bomb that hit the building. The Captain had stood in it's path in an attempt to shield her but it almost cut him in two and drove deep into Victoria's chest.

"Y... You must go on. You are the most wonderful woman I ever loved, Cath..."

Victoria held Catherine's hand as her life faded away. Catherine watched in pain as her maker, her one true love turned to dust before her eyes. She let out a blood curling scream of pain. Soldiers searching the rubble that were close enough to hear, broke down sobbing and had no idea why. Catherine picked up the body of the Captain and took him outside to his men with tears flowing down her face.

"This man died a hero. He gave his life trying to save my Mistress," she said, gently placing his body on the ground.

Everyone around her was crying.

"Is she still inside, Ma'am?" asked a soldier, wiping his eyes.

"She's gone, she's already gone..."

Catherine looked around at the devastation, the fires and decided she'd had enough of France.

"Papers please, Ma'am," said the Officer at the evacuation ship.

"I don't have any, I was a nurse and our hospital was bombed," replied Catherine.

"Do you at least have a name?"

"Cath..."

"What?"

"Sorry, I have not slept. It's Cathy, Officer."

"I suppose Cathy is enough, go on through, see the orderly to find you a bunk with the women, ship sails in an hour."

Cathy laid in silence on her bed, staring into space. A woman brought her a tea and sat on the edge of her bed.

"I thought I'd seen pain before but those eyes of yours young lady," said the woman, holding out the tea.

"I hope that isn't a mocking tone," said Cathy.

"No, forgive me. I can almost feel your pain, it hurts my heart for you."

"You should leave me alone."

"No, I should comfort. I feel you in my head, please trust me, I mean you no ill will."

"What are you?"

"I'm called many things, most of them not nice and far from what I am. I suppose the closest term could be a witch but I heal. You were with her at the end, weren't you?"

"Yes."

"What was her name?"

"How do you know it was a woman?"

"A sense, it's hard to describe. Tell me about her."

Cathy told the woman about Victoria, how she found her and how her life ended.

"The love that showed on your face when you spoke of her, I know she would have felt that. I know it's of no comfort now but remember it. Most of us die alone, she didn't. The Nazi's took my entire family to the camps. They never gave me a second to say goodbye. This world is cruel and those of us left behind have to bring our light from our own darkness, light the way for others with our love of this life."

Cathy took the tea from the woman's hands and looked at her smile. She could see the pain in her eyes too. She put the tea on her table and sat up to hold the woman.

"Thank you. What's your name?" asked Cathy.

"Marla."

"I am Cathy."

"Would I be correct that you are, and forgive me for I mean no offence, a strzyga, uhm, vampire?" she said quietly.

"How do you know that?"

"My Father was a Rabbi in Poland, he spoke of your kind, redeemers he called you, taking bad men that justice feared. He sheltered one when I was a child, Paladins had wounded him but he survived and stayed until his strength returned and vanished into the night."

"You are an interesting woman, Marla."

"As are you, Cathy. Drink your tea, it will help you sleep."

"I doubt anything will help me sleep for a while."

"Then may I lay with you, we can comfort each other?"

Marla and Cathy talked for hours and eventually drifted off to sleep together as the ship set sail. They spent every waking moment together, talking and sharing their life stories. One evening, standing on deck, they were holding each other for warmth as they admired the stars.

"I have enjoyed getting to know you, Miss Cathy. You truly have a special heart," said Marla with a smile.

"Thank you. You have managed to put out the fire that was raging in me, I feel like I could talk to you forever," replied Cathy.

Marla turned to face Cathy then surprised her with a kiss on the lips. Cathy gasped but she smiled then they kissed each other with passion.

"I hope that was okay, you are just so beautiful, Cathy," said Marla.

"Thank you. It was unexpected but I liked it," replied Cathy with a smile.

"I don't expect to take away your pain but I wanted to show you that pleasure from someone who sees you as a goddess can give you joy you can draw from."

"You have made me smile, Marla, it's more than I thought I would."

The ship was an older cruise liner. It had been a hospital ship but its cabins remained on part of it. Cathy and Marla found a quiet space away from the others and quietly made love. They dressed then held each other again then made their way back to the main deck, stealing glances at each other.

Later that evening, Cathy woke to a note on her pillow, Marla had gone to find more tea. When she didn't show after a few hours, she went looking for her. She noticed some commotion near the storage area and went to investigate.

"Please stay back, there's been an incident," said a crewman.

"I'm looking for a friend, she had on a blue dress," replied Cathy.

"Who was she to you?"

"Was?"

Cathy's heart filled with dread, she pushed past the crewman and found the Captain and 2 other officers standing over a body. It was Marla.

"What happened?" said Cathy.

"How did you get back here, crewman, I told you to let nobody past!" said the Captain.

"You will tell me what happened," said Cathy, hypnotizing the Captain.

"W... We think she was strangled, Ma'am. It looks like she was attacked, um, sexually too. I'm so sorry," he replied.

Cathy looked at the woman's body. Her eyes were still open but she was gone. She saw blood under her nails, she tried to fight off her attacker. Cathy touched it and got the scent of who killed her friend. She stood up, shaking with anger.
