Let me start off right after High School I was very nervous and excited to attend my first year of college at Ohio State. During the last two years of school my friends have been telling me that I must be crazy to go to college there. They kept telling me about haunted tales probably to scare me as they have been doing throughout most of our life.
I graduated High School and enjoyed my summer getting ready to move on campus and start my new life. The night before I left for campus during dinner, my father with a serious face told me that no matter what I hear or see, all ways remember that she can't hurt you. With my very puzzling face I looked back and asked.. what do you mean? My father told me that the University has a history of lost love, tortured souls, and misunderstood fate.
After my father gave me his talk about the University I asked how he knew about the Universities past. My father told me that he went there when he was much younger and graduated with honors. We all finished dinner and I was getting ready to take my shower when my mother came through my bedroom door. I turned around and before I was able to ask why she is in my room she started to talk about what my father was saying.
She told me that one night during the dance they have every Halloween my father was going out with this one girl he met the first week he was there. They were having a great time enjoy the evening when the girl was getting thirsty. She left for the drink table to get them both something. As soon as she left another girl came up and started to kiss your father on the lips.. being drunk perhaps. When your father's date came back and seem them kissing she froze in her foot steps trembling and disbelief, dropped the cups, and ran up the stair case to her room.
When your father seen what happened, he tried to stop his date to explain that it was a big mistake while chasing after her all the way to dorm room door. All of a sudden he heard something crash in the room and yelled out "Are you OK?" while trying to bang down the door. He finally busted through and seen her hanging out the window with her hands barely hanging on to the edge. He looked over and at that point she said I will never forget you, slipped, and fell to her death in the court yard below.
Since then room 428 in the Wilson's Hall has never been opened and there has been tales of a lady crying in that very room. After my mother told me that tale, my neck hair stood on end and I made a promise that I am not there looking for ghost troubles. She giggled and said have a great night and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
The next morning I got out of my bedroom, had breakfast, and my mother helped me pack all my stuff in the car to start my new life. As I was departing I looked in the mirror and noticed a saddened look on my mother's face. I stopped and got out of the car to return to her. I told her not to worry and I will keep in touch often. I gave her a kiss and left for the University. I arrived about 45 minutes later to the grounds parking lot. I found a map to admissions and made my way to get myself situated.
While I was getting my paperwork and dorm number, I noticed I was in room 426 in the Wilson's Hall. I asked the admissions person if this is next to room 428 and he said it is. With a smile, he said good luck and chuckled. I made my way up to the dorm room. Before I put my key in I looked to the right and seen room 428 boarded up with a sign that says "Do not enter". Quickly I got the same chills remembering the story my mother was telling me about.
I went into my room and found it to be very elegant with two desks, two armoires, a small kitchenette, and a bunk bed. I was unpacking and I heard a faint girl calling the name out Joshua. Well that is my name and went to the door. I looked outside and there was no one there except for a few people passing by. I went back in to finish unpacking and I heard the faint name again being called out. I looked up and said yes with a nervous voice. I listened intently but no response and no more faint voices calling out my name.
