I am still not a professional writer
Please feel free to provide any feedback by commenting, messaging or emailing me. I'm keeping this one a little shorter as I ease back into writing stories and will most likely turn this into several parts.
Thank you for taking the time to read my stories.

I was having a great dream. I was lounging on a chair at the beach, my beautiful wife Jessica laying next to me with my arm around her. Everything was just perfect watching the sun set over the ocean. Next thing I know, Jessica looks up at me and says "wake up D." Then louder, "WAKE UP, D!!"
I jolt awake to a dark room, in a cold bed, all alone by myself and confused about what is going on. I sudden realize that I'm twisted in my sheets, they're soaked with sweat and more sweat is pouring down my face. I look at the clock, it says 2 am and then I remember, my wife is at the hospital in the ICU on life support in a coma and I only came home because the nurses there forced me to leave for the night after being by her side for a week straight. Jessica was shopping in a store when a car driven by a 92-year-old grandmother crashed through the store after having a heart attack and losing control of the car. She was pinned unconscious between two shelving units and has not woke up since.
I swing my legs to the floor and slowly sit up with my elbows on my knees and head in my hands. I keep hoping that she'll come out of it, but I don't know what I'm going to do if the worst happens. Next thing I know, my alarm is beeping at my 6 am alarm, so I get up and set the coffee maker while I get a shower. As I'm in the shower, just letting the water pour over my head, my brain vaguely registers the bathroom door opening and the curtain opening. Before I can turn to look, I feel arms circle around me from behind and soft breasts against my back. I hear Cindy softly saying "I'm so sorry D. I should have been here for you sooner."
