The next day was spent at a family get-together in honor of his grandparent's 55th anniversary. It was nice to see everyone and to catch up some, but pretty much the day was dull. There was one highlight though; Charlie's twenty-one year old cousin Frank showed up with his new girlfriend Vanessa. She would have been a highlight at any party! Three weeks ago it would not have occurred to him to talk to a woman like her. Now? He laughed at himself for thinking, "Where is my mind going these days?" As he laid his head down on the pillow that night, there were two thoughts playing in his head. The first was "Why would a twenty something woman want to talk to a high school nerd?" The second one was, "Maybe I need to do a little more 'research!' and adjust my 'game plans.'" Impossible challenges didn't seem so impossible these days!

Upon arrival at his fourth period class on Monday, his seat was waiting for him. "Good morning, Carrie!"

"Hi Charlie! How was your weekend?"

"Awesome, it started off with a bang and finished at my grandma's house!"

She caught the initial pun and grinned, "Oh my God, that was fun!"

"I put it in the 99.9 percentile!"

"Oh? Not 100%?"

His eyes sparkled at her, "Yeah, later on I realized that there was a thing or two that could have made it better!"

"Oh really? Wanna share?"

"Uhh...sure, maybe I could call you this week?"

"I would like that. Hey, speaking of 'phone calls,' I gave Jenna your number. You'll probably get a text from her soon."

"Okay, great! I wouldn't mind..." Just then Mr. Carpenter started the class. "Okay, we'll talk later."

When he sat down at lunch, Julie didn't even bother to say hello; she immediately asked, "So how did Saturday go?"

"Is there a word in the English language describing something more fun than fun? Funner? Funnest?"

Mark laughed, "This might take some research!"

"Yeah," Charlie replied, "and on top of that, something else happened."

"What?"

"Try not to overreact, okay?"

Julie looked at him, then at Mark, "I don't even know how to take that!"

"It means we have no idea what's coming next, so we need to get a grip!"

She rolled her eyes, "I know what it means, you doofus!" She turned back to Charlie, "Okay, we're ready...shock us!"

"Carrie brought along a friend!"

Mark slapped both hands down on the lunch table and and tried to keep his voice down, "WHAT?"

Julie just sat there; her expression never changed. "Charlie, you know what "holy shit" means?"

He chuckled, "Not literally."

"Well multiply it times ten and that is my reaction!"

Charlie laughed, "You guys handled that pretty well!"

"Good thing you warned us," Mark replied. "So who did she bring?"

"Her best friend Jenna Slater."

"Oh my God," Julie's voice was an octave higher, "I'm almost afraid to ask for details."

Charlie was about to say, "We'll talk later," when two girls stopped at their table. He looked up and said, "Hey! Krista! Hi... Hello Donna! You girls wanna sit down with us?"

"Yes, thanks. Hello Julie, Hi Mark...How ARE you?"

The five of them exchanged a few pleasantries, and Charlie took the opportunity to check out their sorta, kinda, lunch 'guests.' Krista was back to her regular look of jeans and sweatshirt, but she'd done a little more with her hair, and he detected some mascara and lip gloss. He couldn't help but think this break in her routine had something to do with their encounter Friday night. Donna was dressed similarly. Her auburn hair was in its ponytail. Her gray-green eyes and shy smile helped her face; and today, for the first time, Charlie noticed how much bustier she was than Krista (even though "how much bustier" was concealed by the baggy sweatshirt.) Charlie said, "I asked these two to join us cuz Friday night Krista and I talked about throwing a party sometime and changing things up a little. Maybe we could do it for your 19th birthday on November 3, Mark."

"Ohhh," said Julie, "That explains it; I was wondering what you guys were doing out in the back yard." Krista and Charlie exchanged a "knowing" glance. Julie didn't notice so she continued, "What exactly is 'changing things up?'"

"That's what we wanna know; when we have parties, are we gonna keep doing the same thing over and over again? One of the first things we mentioned was dancing."

"Dancing?" Mark interjected, "It's not prom or anything."

"Mark, you're missing my point; we want to blow up the routine!"

Donna spoke up, "I think we're on the right track with the dancing idea. Do we want to hire a D.J. or something?"

"That might be a good idea for the first time we do this," Charlie responded. "But the bigger question is, is there anything we want to try besides the dancing angle?"

"If we really wanna blow things up," said Mark, "then we need to do something really outrageous!"

"Like what?" asked Krista.

"Oh, I don't know; like strip poker maybe?" All three of them stared at Mark; he cracked up, "Oh my God, you should see all your faces! I'm joking you know!"

Charlie said, "Yeah, that would certainly blow the whole routine thing to hell!" This time everyone laughed.

The bell rang and Julie said "Let's sleep on it and meet again tomorrow, discuss a few more ideas. Maybe we'll come up with something a little more reasonable than Mark 'the perv's' idea."

Krista leaned over to Charlie on her left, "Hang with me a second, okay?" When everyone left for their next class, she said to him, "You know, normally I would have thought Mark's idea was stupid; but after Friday, I'm not as sure."

Charlie chuckled, "You want us nerds to play strip poker?"

"No, not that, but I'm wondering if there aren't some fun activities that we could do along more risque lines?"

"Maybe spin-the-bottle?" They both laughed and Charlie added, "Let's do a little on-line research and see what we find, okay?"

"I agree...see ya later!"

That night at 8:30 his phone pinged with a text from Carrie, "Can I call?"

"Yes!"

He picked up on the third ring, "Hi Carrie!"

"Hey Charlie, I wanted to talk to you about Saturday. How did you feel about it?"

"I liked it a lot; it was quite a different experience than just you and me! What did you think?"

"I enjoyed it, there aren't any regrets."

He paused, "Can I tell you what I didn't like as much?"

"For sure, what?"

"When I compare the two Saturdays, it was difficult to share the time between the two of you. I realize I want to pleasure you both and that made it harder, focusing on two people instead of one."

Carrie perked up, "I'm glad to hear you say that; I think the same thing!"

"Did you talk to Jenna about this?"

"I did, she also said the same thing, except she said (and I quote,) 'If we ever do it again, I want to do more with you and me as well.'"

"Oh Wow...she said that huh? Did she mean what I think she means?"

Carrie giggled, "Yeah, she wants to do the whole bi-sexual thing!"

"To be honest," he ventured, "you really looked like you were into kissing her!"

"I'll admit I liked it; but I'm not sure I want to get into the whole lesbian thing."

"I understand, so you figure out what direction you want to go," Charlie said, "I'm flexible!"

Carrie laughed out loud! "Like a cheerleader, right?" When he laughed, Carrie added, "Charlie?"

"Yes?"

"Can we keep up the 'Friends-with-benefits' thing for a while?"

"I would LOVE to!"

"Great, thank you!"

"No, thank YOU!"

She giggled, "Okay, thank us! But on another note, this weekend isn't going to work, Jenna and I both have a cheer competition, we're going to Carbondale."

"Well THAT'S a bit disappointing, but I'm sure we'll survive!"

"Yes we will, but I need to tell you something else."

"Which is?"

Carrie took a deep breath, "When I told Jenna I wasn't sure I wanted to do the girl/girl stuff, she wanted to know if I minded her getting with you herself sometime."

"Oh my God; what did you say?"

"I said you and I weren't a couple, so it would depend on how YOU felt about it."

Charlie gently said, "Listen Carrie, we may not be a couple, but I do want to be mindful of your feelings."

"Honestly, I would feel stupid putting restrictions on you when I'm not committed to you."

"If that's the case, I wouldn't mind exploring that option with Jenna at least one time; and see how it goes."

"I can't say as I blame you. I love Jenna, I'm sure you'll like her too!"

"You two are the best!"

"When I hang up, I'm going to let her know it's okay."

Charlie chuckled, "Are you still gonna be saving me my fourth period seat?"

"Absolutely! Night Charlie."

"G'night Carrie!"

Sure enough, twenty minutes later he got a text from Jenna, "Hi, it's Jenna; first time texting. Is everything straight on our contact lists?"

He answered, "All good, I had a chat with Carrie tonight."

"Me too, I'm very interested in some playtime for just us; she's okay with it."

Charlie stared at this last message for at least two minutes. Most of that time was spent marveling at what a turn his life had taken; but then again, he knew it never would have happened if not for the marvel in his pants! He tapped out the message, "I would like that!"

Almost immediately Jenna responded, "How about Thursday night at 8:00? My parents are leaving for an extended weekend, and I'll be leaving Friday morning for the cheer competition."

"Great! Text me your address, and I'll see you Thursday!"

A minute later he had her address and he edited her contact entry. Then he deleted the conversation on the off-chance his mom got nosy. As soon as he did it, he remembered that he had promised to have a small conversation with her about what was going on. Thinking he might as well get it over with, he walked out to the living room just as his mother was sitting down next to her husband on the couch.

"Hey you guys," he began, "I told you I would bring you both up to speed on the 'girl' thing."

"Thank God," said his dad, "Things were getting tense around here!"

His mother slapped him on the thigh. "They WERE not," she denied, "it was not tense, it was just curiosity."

His father rolled his eyes and said to Charlie, "Okay, not tense. But fill us in quick!"

"It's not a big deal," Charlie began. "I've been sitting next to this girl in History class, and we've talked. It's become friendly. It's like it is with me and Julie."

"So it isn't a boyfriend/girlfriend thing?" asked his mom?

"Not even close. Like I sit with my friends at lunch and she sits with hers. We might have a phone call or two here and there, but that's about it."

"Okay, thanks!" said his mom, "I promised I wouldn't ask a lot of questions, so I only have one request. If anything further develops, let us know?"

"You have my word."

The next day was Tuesday and when Charlie got to school, Krista caught up with him in the hallway. "Hi you! Are we meeting again today?"

"Yeah, did you and Donna come up with another idea besides dancing and strip poker?"

She laughed, "Actually we did. I'll tell you about it at lunch."

"Cool, several things happened last night; I couldn't do any research on our topic."

She smiled, "That's okay, we have time; but I have to tell you something."

"What's that?"

"Well, remember Donna wasn't at the party; she was getting over a cold. Anyway, at lunch yesterday she heard Julie mention you and me sitting in the backyard. She wanted to know why we were out there."

He cocked his head, "Didn't we say, you and I were talking about changing things up at parties?"

"Yeah, but Donna was like 'You could have talked about that inside.'"

"So how did you answer that?"

"I just said it was such a beautiful night, we decided to go outside. But Donna's too smart, and she knows me too well."

Charlie squinched up his mouth, "Oh-oh"

"Yeah, she said, 'bullshit!'" Krista smiled. "So I just told her!"

"Oh my God...and her reaction was?"

"She just laughed and said, 'Oh reallyyy! Now THAT'S interesting!' and I said, 'Yes, it was VERY interesting!'"

Charlie grinned, "Ya know, I loved how much fun it was!"

"Me too," Krista giggled, "Partly because it was so out of the normal!" Just then the bell rang, and she had a ways to go for her first class. "See you at lunch, Charlie!

Fourth period rolled around and his seat was waiting for him. "Hey Carrie!"

As he sat down, she asked, "So, did Jenna contact you?"

"She did."

"And?"

"Carrie, before I answer that, let's get on the same page; do you agree?"

"Of course, we've agreed on this stuff before."

"Okay good," he replied, "From this moment on I'm going to be totally up front with you; and you agree to do the same."

Carrie smiled, "Totally agree."

"Okay good; we're not doing this to create problems, it's all about the fun! So that said, Jenna and I have a 'date?' for Thursday night!"

She giggled, "Oh, I already knew that."

He cocked his head, "You did? Were you expecting something more?"

"Oh, you know us girls...we're into the details!"

Charlie grinned, "I'm pretty sure Jenna will have a lot to report on Friday...at least I hope she will!" Mr. Carpenter called the class to order. "One of these days, it might be fun for you and me to have a longer conversation about stuff."

"Yeah? What are you thinking?"

"Tell you later."

This time Krista and Donna got to the lunch room first and waved everyone over. After the usual opening chit-chat, they dug into their food. Julie was the first to say, "Okay, did anyone come up with a fun idea?"

Krista spoke right up, "Donna and I did! You all mentioned that Mark's birthday was coming up." She looked at Charlie, "By the way, I thought you said the other night that it was YOUR birthday next month?"

"Did I say that? Huh, not sure what I was thinking, my birthday was a few weeks ago."

"Well, anyway, we thought it might be fun to combine Halloween (which is on Wednesday) with Mark's birthday on Saturday night!"

"I like this already," said Julie.

"Yes," Donna added, "and besides the dancing thing, we came up with a sorta- theme for the party. Everyone has to dress up, but not with some stupid Halloween costume." She waited for a response.

Mark replied, "Okay, dress up how?"

Donna smiled, "By dressing up in a way that's completely out-of-character for that person! Something 180 degrees opposite of what they do normally!"

"Oh Wow!" Charlie exclaimed; he stared at Krista, "I LOVE that idea!"

"The only thing is, this could get a little pricey for some people," Krista said. "They might have to buy something."

"They might have had to do that for ANY Halloween party." Julie remarked.

Mark interjected, "Maybe, but I like this idea so much, let's make it clear that I don't need any gifts. Put the focus on getting dressed up."

"Okay then," Julie said, "I'll be in charge of the invitations. Our usual group is six boys and five girls. Are we settled on that?" When they agreed, she added, "I think it might be fun to have a prize for the best-dressed. What do y'all think?"

"That'd be cool," Mark returned, "Tell ya what, I'll figure out a prize and let you know later. Jules, are you gonna design the invites on your computer?"

"I have some time tonight, I bet I can get them out and bring one tomorrow and show you all. What time should the party start, 6:00?"

"6:00 is good," said Charlie. "Alright then, on another note, did anyone have an idea for a future party down the road?"

"We came up with two other ideas," said Donna. "We could have a 'Trivial Pursuit' competition maybe?"

"That sounds like it might work, anything else?"

"Yes," said Krista, "What would you guys think if we had a couples night?"

"What's that?" asked Julie.

"Donna and I tried to think of something way WAY out of the box. We put all the names into a hat and draw them out. Like Julie and Mark don't draw because they're already a couple."

"I get it," Charlie interrupted. "That's an interesting concept; we're all good enough friends that it might work. What do you think, Jules?"

"I kinda like it; the only drawback is that in our group, it's six and five."

They sat for a second until Charlie said, "Well, there are two options, either one of the girls gets two guys, or one of the guys gets a date outside our circle and brings her."

Just then the bell rang and Julie said, "Okay, we have time on that one. The concept sounds fun, let's think about it some more." She and Mark cleaned up quickly and left.

Donna and Krista hung back for a moment; Donna said, "Uh, Charlie?"

He turned to her, "Yeah?"

"Krista told me what you guys did out in Darrell's backyard."

"She did huh? Well like we were saying, she and I tried to think of something WAY outside the box!" He looked at Krista, "I think we succeeded!"

Krista blushed, "We did, and just so you know; Donna and I are going to put our heads together and see if we can think of a risque party activity that would work."

"I say Go For It! Maybe I'll get on my computer and dig around for an idea myself!"

As they left the cafeteria together, Donna stopped them; and when he saw her face she was blushing and looked very nervous. "One m..more thing, Charlie," she stammered, "K..krista said (and I had to pry it out of her,) that she couldn't imagine any guy kissing her better than you did."

He glanced at Krista, "Aw, that was nice of her to say; but maybe she's exaggerating?"

Krista spoke up, "No, I'm not exaggerating; I really can't imagine it!"

Charlie was caught off-guard, "Uh...yeah...well..."

Donna screwed up her courage and said, "Charlie, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"D..do you think you would mind sh..showing me what she was talking about?"

Charlie shot a glance at Krista who was standing there with one hand over her mouth and her head down. She was looking at him from the tops of her eyes and he could have sworn she was giggling behind her hand. Turning back to Donna he said, "I would be honored to show you. When?"

Donna smiled broadly, "Great, uh...any chance you could show me after school?"

"Yes, wanna meet me over at the bottom of the south stairwell right after school, like 2:50?

"I'll be there, thanks!"

He looked squarely at Krista, "Will you be there too?"

"Should I be?"

"I think you should, you little instigator you!"

All the rest of the school day (in between trying to concentrate on his classwork,) Charlie's thoughts were spinning with possibilities. It was like once he opened the door to implement the research he had done into the female mind and its desires, the possibilities now seemed limitless. Of course he also realized that the size of his cock was a contributing factor, but Krista and Donna hadn't known about that before agreeing to have fun with him, and Carrie's fantasies about their second time together were not about his big dick, but about his oral technique and sitting on his face!

As the girls were coming down the stairs, he had the strangest feeling of deja vu. He was going to take them to the same theater changing room where he took Carrie, only this time there were two of them. Krista and Donna were stepping through their own exploratory door; and Charlie smiled because (who-would-have-thunk-it) they wanted to play with him!

"Hi girls," he said as they reached the bottom of the stairs, "We don't have a great deal of time; I have to get to football practice. That okay? Or should we reschedule?"

"I don't have the slightest idea about that," replied Donna. "How much time do we have?"

"Ten minutes, fifteen tops."

"I guess that will work."

"Great, then follow me!" When they stepped inside the changing room, Charlie said to her, "Just so I know, Donna, are you any kind of ticklish?"

"What?" She looked at him sideways, "Uh, well yes, my feet and ribs I think. Why?"
